Background and Aims:In the REALM (Randomized, Obser-vational Study of Entecavir to Assess Long-Term Outcomes Associated with Nucleoside/Nucleotide Monotherapy for Pa-tients with Chronic HBV Infection) study, 12,378 patients with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection received up to 10 years of randomized therapy with entecavir or another HBV nucleos(t)ide analogue. Monitored clinical outcome events (COEs) included malignant neoplasms, HBV disease progres-sion events, and deaths. An external event adjudication com-mittee (EAC) was convened to provide real-time review of reported COEs to optimize data quality, and minimize poten-tial adverse effects of the large cohort, interdisciplinary out-come assessments, geographic scope, and long duration. Methods:The EAC comprised an international group of hep-atologists and oncologists with expertise in diagnosis of tar-geted COEs. The EAC reviewed and adjudicated COEs according to prospectively defined diagnostic criteria cap-tured in the EAC charter. Operational processes, including da-ta collection and query procedures, were implemented to optimize efficiency of data recovery to maximize capture of adjudicated COEs, the primary study outcome measure. Results: A total of 1724 COEs were reported and 1465 of these events were adjudicated by the EAC as reported by the investigators (85.0% overall concordance). Concordance by COE type varied: deaths, 99.6%;hepatocellular carcino-ma (HCC), 83.3%;non-HCC malignancies, 88.0%;non-HCC HBV disease progression, 68.2%. Reasons for lack of con-cordance were most commonly lack of adequate supporting data to support an adjudicated diagnosis or evidence that the event pre-dated the study. Conclusions: The REALM EAC performed a critical role in ensuring data quality and consis-tency;EAC performance was facilitated by well-defined diag-nostic criteria, effective data capture, and efficient operational processes. A Methodology to Predict Fatigue Life of Cast Iron:Uniform Material Law for Cast Iron

Mechanical, physical and manufacturing properties of east iron make it attractive for many fields of application, such as cranks and cylinder holds. As in design of all metals, fatigue life prediction is an intrinsic part of the design process of structural sections that are made of cast iron. A methodology to predict high-cycle fatigue life of cast iron is proposed. Stress amplitude-strain amplitude, strain amplitude-number of loading cycles relationships of cast iron are investigated. Also, fatigue life prediction in terms of Smith, Watson and Topper parameter is carried out using the proposed method. Results indicate that the analytical outcomes of the proposed methodology are in good accordance with the experimental data for the two studied types of cast iron： EN-GJS-400 and EN-GJS-600.

Study of the Structural Evolution of the Babadag-Honaz and Pamukkale Fault Zones and the Related Earthquake Risk Potential of the Buldan Region in SW Anatolia, East of the Mediterranean

Denizli graben （DG） is bounded in the NE by the Pamukkale fault zone and in the SW by the Babadag-Honaz fault zone. The Babada and Honaz fault zones are generally made up as nearly E-W directed two segments. The Pamukkale fault also contains many overlapping segments in the Denizli area along the NE margin of the graben. The DG contains an NW-SE trending horst （Karakova） controlled by normal faults with oppositely dipping high angles and that truncate the Plio-Quaternary rock units. The faults that bound the DG are likely to have been initiated during the Early to Late Miocene and appear to be active today. The faults of the DG are active and the potential energy that accumulates in them is easily conducted to the other faults that they come in contact with. This signifies that a movement in one of the faults forming the grabens in the Denizli region affects the other structures as well. Earthquakes in the Buldan region usually occur 2-3 years after seismical movements occur in the Denizli Basin. The Buldan region is a ridge between DG and Ala ehir graben （ALG）. Based on the fact that DG in its south and ALG in its north move seismically, there is a probability that a break would appear in the Buldan region in the near future.

Exact Solutions to (3+1) Conformable Time Fractional Jimbo–Miwa,Zakharov–Kuznetsov and Modified Zakharov–Kuznetsov Equations

Exact solutions to conformable time fractional (3+1)-dimensional equations are derived by using the modified form of the Kudryashov method. The compatible wave transformation reduces the equations to an ODE with integer orders. The predicted solution of the finite series of a rational exponential function is substituted into this *** resultant polynomial equation is solved by using algebraic operations. The method works for the Jimbo–Miwa, the Zakharov–Kuznetsov, and the modified Zakharov–Kuznetsov equations in conformable time fractional forms. All the solutions are expressed in explicit forms.

Supporting multiple metrics in QoS-aware BGP

Being an important and yet a challenging problem, the QoS-based routing in the converging Internet has received significant attention from the research community. However, most of the QoS-based routing research is conducted in the context of intra-domain routing, leaving QoS-based inter-domain routing relatively open. In this paper, we focus on QoS-based inter-domain routing and specifically investigate how to enhance the current inter-domain routing protocol (BGP) with QoS extensions. To support multiple QoS metrics, BGP speakers have to advertise multiple routes for each destination. However, this will increase the routing message overhead and make QoS-aware BGP unscalable. To provide scalability without significantly sacrificing the performance, we propose path reduction algorithms called contribution based reduction (CBR) algorithms. Extensive simulations show that the proposed schemes achieve high performance in finding feasible paths with low complexity in terms of message overhead and computation, making the QoS extension to BGP scalable.

Formation of air-entraining vortices at horizontal intakes without approach flow induced circulation

The aim of this experimental study is to investigate the effects of hydraulic parameters on the formation of air-entraining vortices at horizontal intake structures without approach flow induced circulation. Six intake pipes of different diameters were tested in the study. The intake pipe to be tested was horizontally mounted to the front side of a large reservoir and then for a wide range of discharges experiments were conducted and critical submergences were detected with adjustable approach channel sidewalls. Empirical equations were derived for the dimensionless critical submergence as a function of the relevant dimensionless parameters. Available data is also checked for the possible scale effect. Then, these obtained equations were compared with the similar ones in the literature which showed a quite good agreement.

Cloud computing enables performing computations and analysis tasks and sharing services in web-based computer centres instead of local desktop *** of the most used areas of cloud computing is geographic information systems(GIS)*** Desktop GIS products are still used in the community frequently,Web GIS and Cloud GIS applications have drawn attention and have become more efficient for *** this study,a serverless Cloud GIS framework is implemented for the land valuation *** order to store,analyse,and share geospatial data,the Aurora Serverless PostgreSQL database is created on Amazon Web Services(AWS).While adopting Aurora Serverless PostgreSQL as a database management system,a simple point in polygon analysis conducted to compare the performances with Amazon Relational Database Service(RDS)*** showed that the serverless database responded to the query faster and scaled up during high workload to decrease ***,parcel vector data,which conveys ownership information and land values attributes,is shared directly from the PostGIS database as vector *** S3 and AWS Lambda services are used for storing and disseminating raster-based land value map *** visualize all shared data and maps through a web browser,open source web mapping library Mapbox GL JS is used.

Android is the mobile operating system most frequently targeted by malware in the smartphone ecosystem,with a market share significantly higher than its competitors and a much larger total number of *** of malware before being published on official or unofficial application markets is critically important due to the typical end users'widespread security *** this paper,a novel feature selection method is proposed along with an Android malware detection *** feature selection method proposed in this study makes use of permissions,API calls,and strings as features,which are statically extractable from the Android executables(APK files)and it can be used in a machine learning process with different algorithms to detect malware on the Android platform.A novel document frequency-based approach,namely Delta IDF,was designed and implemented for feature *** IDF was tested upon three universal benchmark datasets that contain Android malware samples and highly promising results were obtained by using several binary classification algorithms.

In this case report, we present the occlusion of multiple coronary artery fistulaes originating from proximal left anterior descending （LAD） and fight sinus valsavla and empting to the pulmonary artery at the same place. We occluded LAD fistulae by using thrombus aspira- tion catheter as a delivery guide. To the best of our knowlege, this is the first case of occlusion of coronary fistulaes with the help of throm- bus aspiration catheter. Our experience may suggest that thrombus aspiration catheters can be used in treating coronary artery fistulaes with difficult anotomv.

Optimization of hydrolysis conditions for the production of protein hydrolysates from fish wastes using response surface methodology

The recycling of waste from food processing is an important industrial procedure for obtaining protein sources with high added *** this study,trout(Onchorynchus mykiss),anchovy(Engraulis encrasicolus),and whiting(Merlangius merlangus)wastes were *** hydrolyzation procedure was investigated under the optimum predicted conditions defined by time,temperature,and enzyme ratio(E/S)using alkaline protease(pH 8),Protamex(pH 7),and Flavourzyme(pH 7).The hydrolysis conditions that showed the best degree of hydrolysis(DH%)were optimized using response surface methodology(RSM)with the central composite design(CCD)and Box-Behnken design(BBD)*** effects of three independent variables,temperature(40-60℃),time(1-8 h),and enzyme concentrations(1-2%),were examined for model *** was determined that the DH%varies between 50.92%and 74.30% according to the type of fish waste and *** highest degree of hydrolysis was observed from trout waste(74.30%)and the lowest degree from whiting waste(50.92%)with *** this study,it has been shown that different degrees of hydrolysis and protein recovery can be obtained,depending on fish species,waste composition,enzyme type,and hydrolysis method.
