Mirizzi syndrome is a rare complication of gallstones with an incidence of less than 1% per year in Western countries. Imaging and endoscopy play a key role in its diagnosis. CT scan helps to eliminate any malignant lesion of the bile ducts or liver hence comes in handy in the confirmation of Mirizzi syndrome. We hereby report a case of a Mirizzi syndrome complicating acute cholecystitis in a 41-year-old patient without any history of disease.

Acute mesenteric ischemia is a serious disease whose prognosis depends on early diagnosis and therapeutic management. Recent imaging technics play a fundamental role in its diagnosis. There are many forms of mesenteric ischemia including the non-occlusive form which is rare among others. We report the case of a non-occlusive mesenteric ischemia by low flow in a patient with terminal renal disease placed on hemodialysis.

The interposition of the colon or the small intestine between the liver and the diaphragm otherwise called Chilaiditi syndrome remains a rare condition. Its incidence varies between 0.025% and 0.28% according to recent literature and is only found incidentally on diagnostic imaging. Hence, it constitutes a classic pitfall in the diagnosis of false right pneumoperitoneum. We deem interesting to report a case of Chilaiditi syndrome in a 44-year-old patient with no significant history who was admitted at emergency department for abdominal trauma following a road accident.

Renal duplication or supernumerary kidney (SK) is a rare anomaly, poorly documented. It is often discovered fortuitously or after complications. Its preoperative diagnosis is difficult. We hereby report the case of a left supernumerary kidney discovered upon thoracic-abdominal pelvic CT staging in a 50-year-old woman monitored for squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix.

Nanotechnology in cancer therapy has significantly advanced treatment precision,effectiveness,and safety,improving patient outcomes and personalized *** smart nanoparticles and cell-based therapies are designed to target tumor cells,precisely sensing the tumor microenvironment(TME)and sparing normal *** nanoparticles enhance drug accumulation in tumors by solubilizing insoluble compounds or preventing their degradation,and they can also overcome therapy resistance and deliver multiple drugs *** these benefits,challenges remain in patient-specific responses and regulatory approvals for cell-based or nanoparticle ***-based drug delivery systems(DDSs)that primarily utilize the immune-recognition principle between ligands and receptors have shown promise in selectively targeting and destroying cancer *** review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of various nanoparticle and cell-based drug delivery system types used in cancer *** covers approved and experimental nanoparticle therapies,including liposomes,micelles,protein-based and polymeric nanoparticles,as well as cell-based DDSs like macrophages,T-lymphocytes,dendritic cells,viruses,bacterial ghosts,minicells,SimCells,and outer membrane vesicles(OMVs).The review also explains the role of TME and its impact on developing smart DDSs in combination therapies and integrating nanoparticles with cell-based systems for targeting cancer *** detailing DDSs at different stages of development,from laboratory research to clinical trials and approved treatments,this review provides the latest insights and a collection of valuable citations of the innovative strategies that can be improved for the precise treatment of cancer.

Cystic schwannoma represents a neurogenic tumor of the mediastinum rarely reported in literature. Its rupture in the pleural cavity remains exceptional. We hereby report the case of a patient who presented with pleurisy for which diagnostic imaging including thoracic MRI revealed a cystic schwannoma ruptured in the pleura. This case, to the best of our knowledge, represents the very first of its kind reported in literature.

Left sided appendicitis is a rare pathology. Two situations may explain the occurrence of the disease: situs inversus or midgut malrotation. Its diagnosis is based on clinical presentation but confirmed by radiological examination. Our observation is based on a left-sided acute appendicitis with a midgut malrotation in a 31-year-old patient with no clinical history.

The fluid model,also called the macroscopic model,is commonly used to simulate low temperature and low pressure radiofrequency plasma *** varying the parameters of the model,numerical simulation allows us to study several cases,providing us the physico-chemical information that is often difficult to obtain *** this work,using the fluid model,we employ numerical simulation to show the effect of pressure and space between the reactor electrodes on the fundamental properties of silicon plasma diluted with ammonia and *** results show the evolution of the fundamental characteristics of the plasma discharge as a function of the variation of the pressure and the distance between the *** examining the pressure-distance product in a range between 0.3 Torr 2.7 cm and 0.7 Torr 4 cm,we have determined the optimal pressure-distance product that allows better deposition of hydrogenated silicon nitride(SiN_(x)H_(y))films which is 0.7 Torr 2.7 cm.
