Spinal cord injury results in the loss of sensory,motor,and autonomic functions,which almost always produces permanent physical ***,in the search for more effective treatments than those already applied for years,which are not entirely efficient,researches have been able to demonstrate the potential of biological strategies using biomaterials to tissue manufacturing through bioengineering and stem cell therapy as a neuroregenerative approach,seeking to promote neuronal recovery after spinal cord *** of these strategies has been developed and meticulously evaluated in several animal models with the aim of analyzing the potential of interventions for neuronal repair and,consequently,boosting functional *** the majority of experimental research has been conducted in rodents,there is increasing recognition of the importance,and need,of evaluating the safety and efficacy of these interventions in non-human primates before moving to clinical trials involving therapies potentially promising in *** article is a literature review from databases(PubMed,Science Direct,Elsevier,Scielo,Redalyc,Cochrane,and NCBI)from 10 years ago to date,using keywords(spinal cord injury,cell therapy,non-human primates,humans,and bioengineering in spinal cord injury).From 110 retrieved articles,after two selection rounds based on inclusion and exclusion criteria,21 articles were ***,this review arises from the need to recognize the experimental therapeutic advances applied in non-human primates and even humans,aimed at deepening these strategies and identifying the advantages and influence of the results on extrapolation for clinical applicability in humans.

Monoclonal antibodies are attractive therapeutic agents in a wide range of human disorders that bind specifically to their target through their complementary-determining regions(CDRs).Small proteins with structurally preserved CDRs are promising antibodies *** this in silico study,we presented new antibody mimetics against the cancer marker epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)created by the CDRs grafting *** potential graft acceptor sites that efficiently immobilize the grafted CDR loops were selected from three small protein scaffolds using a *** three most involved CDR loops in antibody-receptor interactions extracted from panitumumab antibody against the EGFR domain III crystal structure were then grafted to the selected scaffolds through the loop randomization *** combination of three CDR loops and 10 grafting sites revealed that three of the 36 combinations showed specific binding to EGFR DIII by binding energy ***,the present strategy and selected small protein scaffolds are promising tools in the design of new binders against EGFR with high binding energy.

Brazilian farming influences directly the worldwide ***,fast and reliable information on areas sown with the main crops is essential for planning logistics and public or private commodity market *** farming practices have embraced remote sensing to provide fast and reliable information on commodity ***-to-low resolution free orbital images,such as those from Landsat 8 and Sentinel 2,have been used for crop mapping;however,satellite image processing requires high computing power,especially when monitoring vast ***,cloud data processing has been the only feasible option to deal with a large amount of orbital data and its processing and ***,our goal was to develop a method to map the two main crops(soybeans and corn)in Paraná,one of the major Brazilian state ***-8,Sentinel-2,SRTM+,and field data from 2016 to 2018 were used with the Simple Non-Iterative Clustering segmentation method and the Continuous Naive Bayes classifier,to identify cropped areas.A minimum global accuracy of 90%was found for both *** with field data showed correlations of 0.96 and agreement coefficients no lower than *** ensures mapping quality when using Sentinel and/or Landsat imagery on the GEE platform.

BACKGROUND The role of oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of colorectal carcinoma(CRC)has garnered considerable interest *** oxidative factors have been implicated in the pathogenesis of adenomatous polyps and ultimately *** To evaluate the effect of oxidative imbalance as quantified by specific serological markers in the development of sporadic colon *** A total of 170 patients that underwent endoscopy of the lower gastrointestinal tract in a tertiary center within 3 years were included in the *** were allocated in three groups;those with sporadic colon adenocarcinoma(n=56,32.9%),those with colonic polyps(n=33,19.4%)and healthy controls(n=81,47.7%).All patients were evaluated for oxidant activity and antioxidant capacity with serum measurements of specific markers such as vitamins A,25(OH)D3,E,C,B12,folic acid,glutathione,selenium(Se),zinc(Zn),free iron(Fe^(2+)),and malondialdehyde and results were compared between *** Serum levels of vitamins C,E,D,Se,Zn,vitamin B12 and total antioxidant capacity were significantly lower in the combined neoplasia/polyp group than in the control group(P=0.002,P=0.009,P<0.001,P<0.001,P<0.001,P=0.020 and P<0.001,correspondingly).Increased levels of vitamin E(P=0.004),vitamin D(P<0.001),Se(P<0.001)and Zn(P<0.001)seem to bestow a protective effect on the development of *** vitamin D(P<0.001)and Zn(P=0.036),this effect seems to extend to the development of colon polyps as *** the other hand,elevated serum levels of malondialdehyde are associated with a higher risk of CRC(OR=2.09 compared to controls,P=0.004).Regarding colonic polyp development,increased concentrations of vitaminΑand Fe^(2+) are associated with a higher risk,whereas lower levels of malondialdehyde with a lower *** Increased oxidative stress may play an important role in the pathogenesis and progression of ***’presence may exert a protective effect in the very early stages

Preliminary Study on the Distribution of Irrawaddy Dolphin, <i>Orcaella brevirostris</i>, in Banten Bay

Marriage is the beginning of family formation by the union of two individuals of the opposite sex and birth of children (Papalia & Old, 1998). There are many factors that affect marital satisfaction, one of them is religiosity. Religiosity is considered to have a role in marital satisfaction, because religiosity may influence a person's mindset and behavior in living a life of marriage. However on this research, we focused more on the type of love since in Indonesia the research about the impact of type of love is still rare. The objective of this study is to measure Marital Satisfaction in Indonesia and to see the possibility of other factor that might affect the marital satisfaction such as number of children, their age, age of marriage and their educational level. 125 respondents that have been married for more than 5 year were recruited from different city in Jakarta Indonesia to answer the qustionnaires. Our respondents consist of 65 female and 60 male. Aside of that, we will also do depth interview with 3 couples that we choose randomly from our subject. The available data would be analyzed using statistical approach in order to see the factors that might have bigger contribution to Marital Satisfaction. The results indicated that there were no significant different on marital satisfaction between female and male group. Further to this, the type of love did not bring significat impact to the marital satisfaction compared with religiosity which still bring a significant impact in the male group. On the contrary, the type of love did give a significant contribution to the marital satisfaction in female group as well as religiosity. Other findings also describe that demographic factors such as age of marriage, educational level, number of children and their age did not affect the marital satisfaction in a significant way.

Irrawaddy dolphins (Orcaella brevirostris) are aquatic mammals with critically endangered status able to live in different water salinities habitats, like estuary, rivers and lakes. Banten Bay features estuarine area where rapid economic development, contributed from industry, ports, mining and fisheries, takes place, and thus the presence of Irrawaddy dolphins in the area faces various environmental threats. This research aimed to study the distribution of Irrawaddy dolphins in Banten Bay and explore environmental factors threatening its life. Dolphins observation was conducted from January 2013-February 2014, using direct visual effort by team of observer and indirect effort by local fishermen. Direct visual effort was performed on boat by three observers, with maximum vessel speed 15 km/hour and total length of transect was 404 Km. Indirect visual effort comprised of regular assessment by 32 local fishermen when they conducted capture fishing at two different areas (South and North of Banten Bay). Sightings data from direct and indirect visual observation compiled with respondents opinion were mapped using Arc View®?GIS 3.3, resulting in distribution map of Irrawaddy dolphin in Banten Bay. Irrawaddy dolphin was most frequently observed in the northeast, south and central areas of the bay. Environmental threats alarming the lives of Irrawaddy dolphin in the Banten Bay may include noise pollution, boat accident and entanglement.
