Hybrid materials consisting of M(II)Pc (M = Fe, Co, Ni) particles dispersed in nylon 11 films have been prepared by using a thermal relaxation technique. The obtained films are characterized by AFM, sEM and TEM, and their structural composition is determined by IR spectroscopy and EDs. The M(II)Pc particles are homogeneously distributed in the nylon 11 matrix after heat treatment. Optical absorption studies of the hybrid films are performed in the 200 - 1150 nm wavelength range. The band-model theory is applied to determine the optical parameters for MPc/nylon 11 hybrid films. The optical band gap of the thin films is determined from the (αhν)1/2 vs. hν plots for indirectly allowing transitions and comparing with the as-deposited M(II)Pc thin films. The values of the optical band gap calculated from the absorption spectra, range between 1.07 and 2.7 eV. The electrical conductivity is measured in order to evaluate the conductivity behavior of these hybrid films.

G protein-coupled receptor kinase 2 （GRK2） is an important serine/threonine-kinase regulating different membrane receptors and intraceUular proteins. Attenuation of Drosophila Gprk2 in embryos or adult flies induced a defective differentiation of somatic muscles, loss of fibers, and a flightless phenotype. In vertebrates, GRK2 hemizygous mice contained less but more hypertrophied skeletal muscle fibers than wild-type littermates. In C2C12 myoblasts, overexpression of a GRK2 kinase-deficient mutant （K220R） caused precocious differentiation of ceUs into immature myotubes, which were wider in size and contained more fused nuclei, while GRK2 overexpression blunted differentiation. Moreover, p38MAPK and Akt pathways were activated at an earlier stage and to a greater extent in K220R-expressing cells or upon kinase downregulation, while the activation of both kinases was impaired in GRK2-overexpressing cells. The impaired differentiation and fewer fusion events promoted by enhanced GRK2 levels were recapitulated by a p38MAPK mutant, which was able to mimic the inhibitory phosphorylation of p38MAPK by GRK2, whereas the blunted differentiation observed in GRK2-expressing clones was rescued in the presence of a constitutively active upstream stimulator of the p38MAPK pathway. These results suggest that balanced GRK2 function is necessary for a timely and complete myogenic process.

Tautomeric forms of Thiosemicarbazones have been investigated by spectrometric methods, their chemical reactivity and theoretical calculations of the relative tautomers stabilities. The mass spectral fragmentation of thiosemicarbazones synthesized from acetophenones has been studied by CG/Ms. The analysis of the corresponding spectra shows not only the regular fragmentation mechanisms but homolytic ruptures from even-electron species. 1H NMR spectra exhibit signals for the most intense open thioketo tautomeric structure, although when using TFA a ring structure is observed in the corresponding tautomeric equilibrium. Density Functional Theory calculations (DFT) also provide evidence to support the experimental observations by GC-Ms and 1H NMR. Methylation reactions give support to the occurrence of the thioenol tautomeric form which would be the second most abundant according to the Density Functional Theoretical calculations.

We develop the theory of multivariate saddlepoint approximations. Our treatment differs from the one in Barndorff-Nielsen and Cox （1979, equation （4.7）） in two aspects： 1） our results are satisfied for random vectors that are not necessarily sums of independent and identically distributed random vectors, and 2） we consider that the sample is taken from any distribution, not necessarily a member of the exponential family of densities. We also show the relationship with the corresponding multivariate Edgeworth approximations whose general treatment was developed by Durbin in 1980, emphasizing that the basic assumptions that support the validity of both approaches are essentially similar.

Attachment style,which has been theorized to be rooted in childhood bonding experiences,influences adult cognitive,emotional and interpersonal *** its relationship with early experiences,research indicates that the continuity of attachment style across childhood and adulthood is only partial,being a malleable tendency that is shaped throughout development,with an increasing influence of genetics,as it occurs in other cognitive and behavioral *** research indicates that up to 45% of the variability in anxious and 39% in avoidant adult attachment style could be explained by genetic causes,but the precise mechanisms remain unclear.A narrative review is conducted analyzing the existing literature regarding the implication of candidate genes related to oxytocin,dopaminergic pathways,serotonergic pathways and brainderived neurotrophic factor in adult attachment,with both vulnerability and differential susceptibility approaches,yielding mixed *** highlight the lack of genome-wide studies and the scarcity of epigenetic *** on the existing data,we conclude that the genetics of adult attachment is an area that requires further research to clarify its etiological role and that it should be preferably approached as an interaction between nature and nurture.

＜正＞ This study investigates whether endogenous male sex hormones affect the participation of thromboxane （TXA2） in the acetylcholine （Ach）-induced response in rat aorta. For this purpose, aorta from control and orchidectomized male sprague Dawley rats were used to analyze: （1） vascular response to Ach;（2） vascular response to the TXA2 mimetic U-46619 and, （3） the basal and Ach stimulated production of TXB2, the stable TXA2 metabolite. The Ach-induced relaxation was unaltered by the TXA2 synthesis inhibitor, furegrelate, in arteries from control rats while was increased in aortas from orchidectomized rats. In intact vessels, the concentration dependent contraction induced by U-46619 was similar in arteries from both rat groups. The basal and Ach-stimulated TXB2 release was increased in arteries from orchidectomized animals. These results show that TXA2 production is increased in aortas from orchidectomized rats compared to their controls, and that this prostanoid is functionally involved in the vasodilator response to Ach only in arteries from orchidectomized rats.

sulodexide and Alzheimer’s Disease: A Preliminary Prospective study

The purpose of this prospective study is to determine the relative incidence of Alzheimer’s disease in patients treated for at least three years, with sulodexide (n = 46, 76.48 ± 7.02 years old) or acenocoumarol (n = 47, 78.21 ± 6.66 years old) in order to prevent primary and secondary venous thromboembolism and atherothrombotic disease. In the sulodexide group, there was an apparent prevention of cognitive and behavioural impairment (relative incidence: 2.02) compared with acenocoumarol group (relative incidence: 4.86). The favourable results in sulodexide group may be related to their pharmacodynamic actions of inhibition of PAI-1, which may interfere with the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease, and to the role of glutathione and PAI-1 in the β-amyloid system in the brain.
