Epstein–Barr virus(EBV)-associated lymphoproliferative diseases(EBV-LPDs)are common complications that occur after solid organ transplantation or allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation(HSCT).However,their occurrence and treatment post-chimeric antigen receptor-modified T(CAR-T)cell therapy has not been reported.Two patients had been diagnosed with EBV-positive aggressive B-cell lymphoma and experienced relapses after multiple lines of treatment.After receiving CAR-T cell therapy in tandem with autologous HSCT,the patients achieved complete remission.However,with a median time of 38.5 months after CAR-T cell therapy,B-cell-derived EBV-LPDs were diagnosed,and they were relieved through the administration of immune checkpoint inhibitor or B-cell-depleting agents.Collectively,our report suggests that EBV-LPDs may represent a long-term adverse event after CAR-T cell therapy,especially in patients who previously had EBV-positive disorders,and they can be resolved by immune normalization strategy or B-cell depleting therapy.

针对现有收购环节籽棉回潮率检测方法中单一电阻法检测精度差和单一电容法检测不稳定的问题,提出了一种电阻和电容信息融合的籽棉回潮率检测方法。首先,使用标准电阻和标准电容对所搭建试验平台的电阻检测板和电容检测板进行了可靠性验证;然后,使用试验平台以及八篮烘箱对待测棉样进行了检测并获得试验数据,利用该数据构建了基于电阻和电容信息融合的籽棉回潮率检测模型,并分别使用多元线性回归(MLR)、偏最小二乘回归(PLSR)、支持向量回归(SVR)和反向传播神经网络(BPNN)4种方法进行了模型构建及比较验证。结果显示:BPNN的评价指标优于其他3种模型,决定系数R^(2)为0.8966,均方根误差RMSE为0.0504%,程序运行时间t为0.6690s。最后,将信息融合算法与单一电阻法和单一电容法进行了对比分析,结果表明:该方法优于单一电阻法和单一电容法。因此,提出的电阻和电容信息融合的籽棉回潮率检测方法切实可行,能够为收购环节籽棉回潮率检测提供参考。

针对柔性涡簧振动和电力电子装置等引起机械弹性储能(MEES)系统机械侧谐波难以准确建模、多源谐波无法整体表征及统一抑制的问题,该文提出MEES用永磁同步电机多源谐波提取及统一抑制方法。首先,建立MEES系统数学模型,利用电机转速谐波对多源谐波进行整体表征;然后,提出融合奇异值差分的矩阵束算法,利用其对含噪实测转速数据进行处理以获取包含不同频率成分的多源谐波信息;最后,设计定子电流矢量定向下基于反推控制的多源谐波统一抑制算法,完成对不同频率成分谐波的同时抑制。仿真和实验结果表明,利用融合奇异值差分的矩阵束算法能快速、准确地识别转速信号中的多源谐波成分,统一抑制算法有效降低了多源谐波导致的电磁转矩脉动,改善了系统运行性能。

Confinement of ionomer for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction via efficient mass transfer pathways

Gas diffusion electrodes（GDEs） mediate the transport of reactants, products and electrons for the electrocatalytic CO2reduction reaction（CO2RR） in membrane electrode assemblies. The random distribution of ionomer, added by the traditional physical mixing method, in the catalyst layer of GDEs affects the transport of ions and CO2. Such a phenomenon results in elevated cell voltage and decaying selectivity at high current densities. This paper describes a pre-confinement method to construct GDEs with homogeneously distributed ionomer, which enhances mass transfer locally at the active centers. The optimized GDE exhibited comparatively low cell voltages and high CO Faradaic efficiencies（FE > 90%） at a wide range of current densities. It can also operate stably for over 220 h with the cell voltage staying almost unchanged. This good performance can be preserved even with diluted CO2feeds, which is essential for pursuing a high single-pass conversion rate. This study provides a new approach to building efficient mass transfer pathways for ions and reactants in GDEs to promote the electrocatalytic CO2RR for practical applications.

Exercise-with-melatonin therapy improves sleep disorder and motor dysfunction in a rat model of ischemic stroke

Exercise-with-melatonin therapy has complementary and synergistic effects on spinal cord injury and Alzheimer’s disease, but its effect on stroke is still poorly understood. In this study, we established a rat model of ischemic stroke by occluding the middle cerebral artery for 60 minutes. We treated the rats with exercise and melatonin therapy for 7 consecutive days. Results showed that exercise-with-melatonin therapy significantly prolonged sleep duration in the model rats, increased delta power values, and regularized delta power rhythm. Additionally, exercise-with-melatonin therapy improved coordination, endurance, and grip strength, as well as learning and memory abilities. At the same time, it led to higher hippocampal CA1 neuron activity and postsynaptic density thickness and lower expression of glutamate receptor 2 than did exercise or melatonin therapy alone. These findings suggest that exercise-withmelatonin therapy can alleviate sleep disorder and motor dysfunction by increasing glutamate receptor 2 protein expression and regulating hippocampal CA1 synaptic plasticity.

Circulating RNA ZFR promotes hepatocellular carcinoma cell proliferation and epithelial-mesenchymal transition process through miR-624-3p/WEE1 axis

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),the most common type of primary liver cancer,is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide.Previous evidence shows that the expression of circulating RNA ZFR(circZFR)is upregulated in HCC tissues.However,the molecular mechanism of circZFR in HCC is unclear.Methods:Quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)was employed to detect the expression of circZFR,microRNA-624-3p(miR-624-3p)and WEE1 in HCC tissues and cells.RNase R assay and actinomycin D treatment assay were used to analyze the characteristics of circZFR.For functional analysis,the capacities of colony formation,cell proliferation,cell apoptosis,migration and invasion were assessed by colony formation assay,5-ethynyl-2-deoxyuridine(EdU)assay,flow cytometry assay and transwell assay.Western blot was used to examine the protein levels of WEE1 and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)-related proteins.The interactions between miR-624-3p and circZFR or WEE1 were validated by dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation(RIP)assay.Xenograft models were established to determine the role of circZFR in vivo.Results:circZFR and WEE1 were upregulated,while miR-624-3p expression was reduced in HCC tissues and cells.circZFR could sponge miR-624-3p,and WEE1 was a downstream gene of miR-624-3p.Knockdown of circZFR significantly reduced the malignant behaviors of HCC and that co-transfection with miR624-3p inhibitor restored this change.Overexpression of WEE1 abolished the inhibitory effect of miR624-3p mimic on HCC cells.Mechanistically,circZFR acted as a competitive endogenous RNA(ceRNA)to regulate WEE1 expression by targeting miR-624-3p.Furthermore,in vivo studies have illustrated that circZFR knockdown inhibited tumor growth.Conclusions:circZFR knockdown reduced HCC cell proliferation,migration and invasion and promoted apoptosis by regulating the miR-624-3p/WEE1 axis,suggesting that the circZFR/miR-624-3p/WEE1 axis might be a potential target for HCC treatment.

Thermogalvanic hydrogel-based e-skin for self-powered on-body dual-modal temperature and strain sensing

Sensing of both temperature and strain is crucial for various diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.Here,we present a novel hydrogel-based electronic skin(e-skin)capable of dual-mode sensing of temperature and strain.The thermocouple ion selected for this study is the iodine/triiodide(I−/I3−)redox couple,which is a common component in everyday disinfectants.By leveraging the thermoelectric conversion in conjunction with the inherent piezoresistive effect of a gel electrolyte,self-powered sensing is achieved by utilizing the temperature difference between the human body and the external environment.The composite hydrogels synthesized from polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)monomers using a simple freeze‒thaw method exhibit remarkable flexibility,extensibility,and adaptability to human tissue.The incorporation of zwitterions further augments the resistance of the hydrogel to dehydration and low temperatures,allowing maintenance of more than 90%of its weight after 48 h in the air.Given its robust thermal current response,the hydrogel was encapsulated and then integrated onto various areas of the human body,including the cheeks,fingers,and elbows.Furthermore,the detection of the head-down state and the monitoring of foot movements demonstrate the promising application of the hydrogel in supervising the neck posture of sedentary office workers and the activity status.The successful demonstration of self-powered on-body temperature and strain sensing opens up new possibilities for wearable intelligent electronics and robotics.

Metformin alleviates spinal cord injury by inhibiting nerve cell ferroptosis through upregulation of heme oxygenase-1 expression

Previous studies have reported upregulation of heme oxygenase-1 in different central nervous system injury models.Heme oxygenase-1 plays a critical anti-inflammatory role and is essential for regulating cellular redox homeostasis.Metformin is a classic drug used to treat type 2 diabetes that can inhibit ferroptosis.Previous studies have shown that,when used to treat cardiovascular and digestive system diseases,metformin can also upregulate heme oxygenase-1 expression.Therefore,we hypothesized that heme oxygenase-1 plays a significant role in mediating the beneficial effects of metformin on neuronal ferroptosis after spinal cord injury.To test this,we first performed a bioinformatics analysis based on the GEO database and found that heme oxygenase-1 was upregulated in the lesion of rats with spinal cord injury.Next,we confirmed this finding in a rat model of T9 spinal cord compression injury that exhibited spinal cord nerve cell ferroptosis.Continuous intraperitoneal injection of metformin for 14 days was found to both upregulate heme oxygenase-1 expression and reduce neuronal ferroptosis in rats with spinal cord injury.Subsequently,we used a lentivirus vector to knock down heme oxygenase-1 expression in the spinal cord,and found that this significantly reduced the effect of metformin on ferroptosis after spinal cord injury.Taken together,these findings suggest that metformin inhibits neuronal ferroptosis after spinal cord injury,and that this effect is partially dependent on upregulation of heme oxygenase-1.

Degradable magnesium alloy suture promotes fibrocartilaginous interface regeneration in a rat rotator cuff transosseous repair model

Despite transosseous rotator cuff tear repair using sutures is widely accepted for tendon-bone fixation,the fibrocartilaginous enthesis regeneration is still hardly achieved with the traditional sutures.In the present work,degradable magnesium(Mg)alloy wire was applied to suture supraspinatus tendon in a rat acute rotator cuff tear model with Vicryl Plus 4±0 absorbable suture as control.The shoulder joint humerus-supraspinatus tendon complex specimens were retrieved at 4,8,and 12 weeks after operation.The Mg alloy suture groups showed better biomechanical properties in terms of ultimate load to failure.Gross observation showed that hyperplastic response of the scar tissue at the tendon-bone interface is progressively alleviated over time in the both Mg alloy suture and Vicryl suture groups.In the histological analysis,for Mg alloy suture groups,chondrocytes appear to proliferate at 4 weeks postoperatively,and the tendon-bone interface showed an orderly structural transition zone at 8 weeks postoperatively.The collagenous fiber tended to be aligned and the tendon-bone interlocking structures apparently formed,where transitional structure from unmineralized fibrocartilage to mineralized fibrocartilage was closer to the native fibrocartilaginous enthesis.In vivo degradation of the magnesium alloy wire was completed within 12 weeks.The results indicated that Mg alloy wire was promising as degradable suture with the potential to promotes fibrocartilaginous interface regeneration in rotator cuff repair.

Diatomic Pd catalyst with conjugated backbone for synergistic electrochemical CO_(2)reduction

Double-site catalysts have attracted widespread attention in the field of electrocatalysis due to their high metal loading,adjustable active centres,and electronic valence states.However,the development of bimetallic sites catalysts that coordinate with definite atoms is still in the exploratory stage.Here,we designed and synthesized a bimetallic palladium complex(BPB-Pd_(2))with conjugated backbone.The supported BPB-Pd_(2)was applied to electrochemical CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)for the first time.The as-obtained BPB-Pd_(2)gives an exceptional Faradaic efficiency of CO(FECO)of 94.4%at−0.80 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),which is significantly superior to monoatomic palladium catalyst(BPB-Pd1).The density functional theory(DFT)calculations revealed that the essential reason for the outstanding activity of BPB-Pd_(2)toward CO_(2)RR was that the electronic effect between diatomic palladium reduces the free energy change for CO_(2)RR process.Thus,BPB-Pd_(2)exhibits moderate free energy change to form COOH*intermediate,which was beneficial for the generation of CO in CO_(2)RR.
