Blinking CsPbBr_(3) perovskite nanocrystals for the nanoscopic imaging of electrospun nanofibers

Blinking fluorophore perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) were employed to image the fine structure of the polystyrene (PS) electrospun fibers. The conditions of CsPbBr3 NCs embedded and dispersed into PS were investigated and optimized. The stochastic optical reconstruction microscopy is employed to visualize the fine structure of the resulted CsPbBr3@PS electrospun fibers at sub-diffraction limit. The determined resolution in the reconstructed nanoscopic image is around 25.5 nm, which is much narrower than that of conventional fluorescence image. The complex reticulation and multicompartment in bead sub-diffraction-limited structures of CsPbBr3@PS electrospun fibers were successfully mapped with the help of the stochastic blinking properties of CsPbBr3 NCs. This work demonstrated the potential applications of CsPbBr3 perovskite NCs in super-resolution fluorescence imaging to reconstruct the sub-diffraction-limited features of polymeric material.

The current bottleneck facing further developments in fuel cells is the lack of durable electrocatalysts with satisfactory activity. In this study, a simple and fast one-pot wet-chemical method is proposed to synthesize novel Au@Pt star-like bimetallic nanocrystals （Au@Pt SLNCs） with a low Pt/Au ratio of 1：4, which show great electrocatalytic properties and outstanding stability toward the electro-oxidation reactions commonly found in fuel cells. The star-like Au core （90±20 nm） is partially coated with 5 nm Pt nanocluster shells, a morphology which creates a large amount of boundaries and edges, thus tuning the surface electronic structure as demonstrated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and CO-stripping measurements. This promotes excellent electrocatalytic performance towards the formic acid oxidation reaction in acidic media and the ethanol oxidation reaction in alkaline media, compared to commercial Pt or Au@Pt triangular nanoprisms, in which the Au core is fully coated by a Pt shell. Au@Pt SLNCs have the highest current density within the dehydrogenation potential range, needing the least potential to achieve a certain current density as well as the highest long-term stability. Because of the small amount of Pt usage, very fast synthesis, excellent electrocatalytic activity and durability, the proposed Au@Pt SLNCs have a promising practical application in fuel cells.

A Novel Imaging Method Based on Reweighted Total Variation for an Interferometer Array on Lunar Orbit

Ground-based radio observations below 30 MHz are susceptible to the ionosphere of the Earth and the radio frequency interference.Compared with other space mission concepts,making low frequency observations using an interferometer array on lunar orbit is one of the most feasible ones due to a number of technical and economic advantages.Different from traditional interferometer arrays,the interferometer array on lunar orbit faces some complications such as the three-dimensional distribution of baselines and the changing sky blockage by the Moon.Although the brute-force method based on the linear mapping relationship between the visibilities and the sky temperature can produce satisfactory results in general,there are still large residual errors on account of the loss of the edge information.To obtain the full-sky maps with higher accuracy,in this paper we propose a novel imaging method based on reweighted total variation(RTV)for a lunar orbit interferometer array.Meanwhile,a split Bregman iteration method is introduced to optimize the proposed RTV model so as to decrease the computation time.The simulation results show that,compared with the traditional brute-force method,the RTV regularization method can effectively reduce the reconstruction errors and obtain more accurate sky maps,which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Synergetic lethal energy depletion initiated by cancer cell membrane camouflaged nano-inhibitor for cancer therapy

Mitochondrial bioenergy plays a vital role in the occurrence and development of cancer.Although strategies to impede mitochondrial energy supply have been rapidly developed,the anticancer efficacy is still far from satisfactory,mainly attributed to the hybrid metabolic pathways of mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation(OXPHOS)and glycolysis.Herein,we construct a cancer cell membrane camouflaged nano-inhibitor,mTPPa-Sy nanoparticle(NP),which co-encapsulates OXPHOS inhibitor(mitochondrial-targeting photosensitizers:TPPa)and glycolysis inhibitor(syrosingopine(Sy))for synergistically blocking the two different energy pathways.The mTPPa-Sy NPs exhibit precision tumor-targeting due to the high affinity between the biomimic membrane and the homotypic cancer cells.Under laser irradiation,the mitochondrial-targeting TPPa,which is synthesized by conjugating pyropheophorbide a(PPa)with triphenylphosphin,produces excessive reactive oxygen species(ROS)and further disrupts the OXPHOS.Interestingly,OXPHOS inhibition reduces O_(2) consumption and improves ROS production,further constructing a closed-loop OXPHOS inhibition system.Moreover,TPPa-initiated OXPHOS inhibition in combination with the Sytriggered glycolysis inhibition results in lethal energy depletion,significantly suppressing tumor growth even after a single treatment.Our findings highlight the necessity and effectiveness of synergetic lethal energy depletion,providing a prospective strategy for efficient cancer therapy.

In the interaction between a tumor and the immune system,immune checkpoints play an important role,and in tumor immune escape,co-inhibitory immune checkpoints are important.Immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)can enhance the immune system's killing effect on tumors.To date,impressive progress has been made in a variety of tumor treatments;PD1/PDL1 and CTLA4 inhibitors have been approved for clinical use in some tumors.However,glioblastoma(GBM)still lacks an effective treatment.Recently,a phase III clinical trial using nivolumab to treat recurrent GBM showed no significant improvement in overall survival compared to bevacizumab.Therefore,the use of immune checkpoints in the treatment of GBM still faces many challenges.First,to clarify the mechanism of action,how different immune checkpoints play roles in tumor escape needs to be determined;which biomarkers predict a benefit from ICIs treatment and the therapeutic implications for GBM based on experiences in other tumors also need to be determined.Second,to optimize combination therapies,how different types of immune checkpoints are selected for combined application and whether combinations with targeted agents or other immunotherapies exhibit increased efficacy need to be addressed.All of these concerns require extensive basic research and clinical trials.In this study,we reviewed existing knowledge with respect to the issues mentioned above and the progress made in treatments,summarized the state of ICIs in preclinical studies and clinical trials involving GBM,and speculated on the therapeutic prospects of ICIs in the treatment of GBM.

千岛湖是浙江省第一大水库,近二十年来藻类异常增殖现象频发,正面临着生态脆弱性增加的风险.目前,针对千岛湖初级生产力和藻类群落长期演替缺乏研究,为水库生态环境保护及区域饮用水安全管理带来了一定困难.本研究基于千岛湖东南部沉积物短岩芯,综合分析沉积物年代学、色素及营养盐等地球化学指标,并结合流域社会经济和气候数据,重建了千岛湖建库以来的浮游植物变化历史,并探讨其主要影响因素.结果表明,千岛湖浮游植物色素生产量总体经历了3个主要阶段:1960—1975年的低生产量阶段,1976—2002年的缓慢增长阶段,2003—2021年的快速增长阶段.尽管该水库初级生产力在2003年达到峰值后出现下降趋势,但仍维持在偏离自然基线的较高水平.多元统计分析显示人类活动导致的水体营养富集,以及增温为代表的气候变化,是影响千岛湖初级生产力长期变化的主要因素.水体营养盐的年际及年代际尺度变化对千岛湖浮游植物丰度能够产生显著影响,蓝藻色素生产量主要响应于温度的年代际、年际和季节尺度变化.此外,降水量对浮游植物丰度的季节性变化影响显著,但对长期变化的影响很小.2000年以来基于鲢、鳙鱼的生物操纵技术对千岛湖浮游植物生长起到一定控制作用,但并未根除异常增殖问题,因此有关部门仍需加强对外源营养盐输入的控制.本研究为认识千岛湖水生态环境的长期变化提供了新视角,对水库生态环境保护政策的制定和实施提供了参考.

目的编制护士心理韧性量表,并对其进行信效度检验。方法采用文献回顾和专家咨询法,构建护士心理韧性量表。2019年8-11月,便利抽样法选取广州市某3所三级甲等医院的226名临床护士,对其采用护士心理韧性量表进行调查,并检验护士心理韧性量表的信效度。结果最终形成的护士心理韧性量表共包含3个维度,即护理工作环境、个体内部韧性和韧性重组,共23个条目。该量表的Cronbach’s α系数为0.928,内容效度为0.974,折半信度为0.858,重测信度为0.866。结论护士心理韧性量表具有良好的信效度,适用于我国护士心理韧性水平的测量。
