Software defined networking(SDN) and network function virtualization(NFV) as new technologies have shown great potential in improving the flexibility of resource management for network service provisioning. As traffic dynamics may cause violation of rigid service requirements, especially for ultrareliability and low-latency communication(URLLC) service, it is essential yet challenging to dynamically allocate an appropriate amount of resources(including computation, transmission, and energy) to network functions(NFs) in softwarization-based networks. Meanwhile, with the explosion of high resource-demanding applications, the energy efficiency of communication networks deserves significant attention. In this paper,we investigate the dynamic network function resource allocation(NFRA) problem with aim to minimize longterm energy consumption while guaranteeing the requirements of URLLC services in softwarization-based networks. To cater for efficient on-line NFRA decisions, we design a distributed dynamic NF resource allocation(DDRA) algorithm based on dynamic value iteration(DVI). The convergence of the DDRA algorithm is proved. We conduct simulation experiments based on real-world data traces for performance evaluation.The numerical results demonstrate that the proposed DDRA algorithm achieves around 25% and 20% energy consumption reduction when compared with two benchmark algorithms, respectively.

To meet the requirements for the mechanical and electrochemical performance for carbon fiber-based (CF-based) composites in the structural lithium ion batteries (SLIBs) application, better CF-Based composites are urgently needed. Herein, we report a novel composite metal organic framework (MOF)-derived ZnCo_2 O_4/C@carbon fiber via a facile method and subsequent annealing treatment. In this anode,the nano ZnCo_2 O_4/C coatings wrapped on the surface of CF provide more active sites for electrode reactions and the thin carbon layers give the additional protection. For this material, after 100 cycles, it exhibits excellent cycling stability including high reversible capacity of 463 mAh/g at 50 mA/g, which increases 201% than that of the CF. Thus, this structural anode material exhibits enhanced capacity, high initial columbic efficiency.

Carbon-mediated persulfate advanced oxidation processes(PS-AOPs)are appealing in contaminant remediation.For the first time,S,B-co-doped carbon-based persulfate activators were synthesized through direct carbonization of sodium lignosulfonate and boric acid.By degrading sulfamethoxazole(SMX),CSB-750 obtained 98.7%removal and 81.4%mineralization within 30 min.In comparison with solo S or B doping,S and B co-doped carbon showed the coupling effect for enhanced catalysis.The rate constant(kobs)of 0.1679 min^(-1)was 22.38-and 279.83-fold higher than those of CS-750(0.0075 min^(-1))and CB-750(0.0006 min^(-1)),respectively.The degradation was efficient at strong acidic and weak basic conditions(pH 3-9).Substantial inhibition effect was presented at strong basic condition(pH 10.95)and in presence of CO_(3)^(2-).The CO_(3)^(2-)-caused inhibition was the combined result of the cooperation of pH and quenching O_(2)^(·-).Thiophene sulfur,BC_(3),BC_(2)O,and structural defects were identified as the active sites for PS activation.Radical and nonradical pathways were both involved in the CSB-750/PS/SMX system,where^(1)O_(2)dominated the degradation,SO_(4)^(·-),·OH and direct electron transfer played the subordinate role,and O_(2)^(·-)served as a precursor for the formation of partial^(1)O_(2).The toxicity of degradation system,the effect of real water matrix,and the reusability of carbocatalysts were comprehensively analyzed.Nine possible degradation pathways were proposed.This work focuses on the catalytic performance improvement through the coupling effect of S,B co-doping,and develops an advanced heteroatom doping system to fabricate carbonaceous persulfate activators.

Explicating the Role of Metal Centers in Porphyrin-Based MOFs of PCN-222(M) for Electrochemical Reduction of CO_(2)

The porphyrin-based MOFs formed by combining Zrclusters and porphyrin carboxylic acids with clear M-Nactive centers show unique advantages in electrocatalytic reduction of CO(CORR). However, its conductivity is still the bottleneck that limits its catalytic activity due to the electrical insulation of the Zr cluster. Therefore, the porphyrin-based MOFs of PCN-222(M)(M = Mn, Co, Ni, Zn) with explicit M-Ncoordination were combined with the highly conductive material carbon nanotube(CNT) for discussing the influence of metal centers on the CORR performance based on theoretical calculations and experimental observations. The results show that the PCN-222(Mn)/CNT, PCN-222(Co)/CNT, and PCN-222(Zn)/CNT all exhibit high selectivity to CO(FECO > 80%) in the range of-0.60 to-0.70 V vs. RHE. The FECOmax of PCN-222(Mn)/CNT(-0.60 V vs. RHE), PCN-222(Co)/CNT(-0.65 V vs. RHE), and PCN-222(Zn)/CNT(-0.70 V vs.RHE) are 88.5%, 89.3% and 92.5%, respectively. The high catalytic activity of PCN-222(Mn)/CNT and PCN-222(Co)/CNT comes from the excellent electron mobility of their porphyrin rings and their low ΔG*COOH(0.87 and 0.58 eV). It reveals that the strength of backbonding π of the transition metal and its influence on the electron mobility in the porphyrin ring can affect its CORR activity.

Characterization of ghrelin mRNA expression in fasting Larimichthys crocea juveniles

Larimichthys crocea is a marine fish species cultured in China.Short-term starvation is often applied to improve the quality of cultured L.crocea,and the expression of ghrelin in tissues of stomach,muscle,brain,intestines,liver,and kidney,involved in starvation response,under starvation conditions were studied to understand the effect of starvation on the expression of ghrelin in L.crocea juveniles.The ghrelin expression was tissue-specific,and expression was significantly higher in the stomach compared to other tissues(P<0.01).Additionally,ghrelin expression in different tissues changed along with prolongation of fasting.In the stomach,ghrelin expression levels increased gradually at the beginning of the fast,and then declined after eight days of fasting.Gene expression in the brain and intestines increased at the beginning of the fast,and then decreased with longer fasting time.Interestingly,ghrelin expression declined at the beginning of the fast,then increased with longer fasting in the kidneys and muscles.These results suggest that ghrelin is involved in starvation response in L.crocea juveniles.This study provids insights into ghrelin function and an important reference for the development of reasonable feeding strategies for L.crocea juveniles.

Ba_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)TiO_(3)(BST)/poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF)0–3 nanocomposites with BST nanoparticle contents of 10–40 vol%were prepared by tape casting method.The BST nanoparticles with∼60 nm crystal size and accurate atomic ratio were synthesised by sol–gel method.The effect of the BST nanoparticle contents on the microstructure and dielectric properties of BST/PVDF nanocomposites were investigated.The BST/PVDF nanocomposites system declares that feasibility of applying low contents nanoparticles to form a homogeneous distribution in polymer matrix,higher dense interface connectivity,thereby providing a significant improvement to the dielectric strength and energy storage density;meanwhile,the nanocomposites possess high dielectric tunability.In this study,the maximum dielectric strength∼287.12 kV/mm and energy storage density∼5.15 J/cm^(3)were obtained in 10 vol%BST/PVDF nanocomposites,respectively.Moreover,the nanocomposite possesses high dielectric tunability∼62.6%at 58 kV/mm,which proposed the nanocomposites suitable for tunable microwave devices,supercapacitors and energy storage device applications at high-voltage environment.

Novel high-entropy perovskite-type(Ca_(0.2)Sr_(0.2)Ba_(0.2)La_(0.2)Pb_(0.2))TiO_(3)(CSBLP)ceramics with cubic structure of Pm-3 m space group were successful prepared by solid-state reaction method.Results of XRD,SEM-EDS,HRTEM confirmed a homogeneous distribution and equimolar arrangement of multicomponent cations on the A-site.The high-entropy CSBLP ceramics showed long-range structural order and short-range chemical disorder with widely dispersed nanoscale grains varying sizes of 4-6 nm in the microstructure.Because of increased configurational entropy,the CSBLP ceramic has an enhanced Seebeck coefficient(|S|=272μV/K at 1073 K)and low thermal conductivity(k=1.75 W/m·K at 1073 K)when annealed at1300℃.This work demonstrates the possibility of effectively reducing thermal conductivity and improving the performance of thermoelectric oxides through high-entropy composition design.

Secondary phase Bi_(2)O_(3),which could promote the sintering densification of ceramics,was used to prepare(Ca_(0.85)Ag_(0.1)La_(0.05))_(3)Co_(4)O_(9) thermoelectric ceramics.The mechanism of liquidphase sintering process revealed that the diffusion rate of particles originated from the dissolvedeprecipitated processing for samples and suppressed the coarsening of grain growth.The effects of Bi_(2)O_(3) on the microstructure and thermoelectric properties were investigated.The results showed that the relative density of samples increased from 92.1% to 95.5% through the liquidphase sintering mechanism.The band gaps were tuned and it had the profound impact on the transport of charge carriers.Electrical resistivity decreased while Seebeck coefficient increased from 110 mV/K to 190 mV/K with increasing Bi_(2)O_(3).Furthermore,the peak ZT value of 0.25 for 6 wt% Bi_(2)O_(3) sample at 1073 K was obtained,resulting from low thermal conductivity of 0.92 W/(m·K).It suggests that Bi_(2)O_(3) additive can dramatically improve the thermoelectric properties of Ca_(3)Co_(4)O_(9).
