This paper investigates the navigational performance of Global Positioning System(GPS)using the variational Bayesian(VB)based robust filter with interacting multiple model(IMM)adaptation as the navigation *** performance of the state estimation for GPS navigation processing using the family ofKalman filter(KF)may be degraded due to the fact that in practical situations the statistics of measurement noise might *** the proposed algorithm,the adaptivity is achieved by estimating the timevarying noise covariance matrices based onVB learning using the probabilistic approach,where in each update step,both the system state and time-varying measurement noise were recognized as random variables to be *** estimation is iterated recursively at each time to approximate the real joint posterior distribution of state using the VB *** of the two major classical adaptive Kalman filter(AKF)approaches that have been proposed for tuning the noise covariance matrices is the multiple model adaptive estimate(MMAE).The IMM algorithm uses two or more filters to process in parallel,where each filter corresponds to a different dynamic or measurement *** robust Huber’s M-estimation-based extended Kalman filter(HEKF)algorithm integrates both merits of the Huber M-estimation methodology and *** robustness is enhanced by modifying the filter update based on Huber’s M-estimation method in the filtering *** proposed algorithm,referred to as the interactive multi-model based variational Bayesian HEKF(IMM-VBHEKF),provides an effective way for effectively handling the errors with time-varying and outlying property of non-Gaussian interference errors,such as the multipath *** examples are given to demonstrate the navigation performance enhancement in terms of adaptivity and robustness at the expense of acceptable additional execution time.

Background: Patients commonly develop postoperative pain after total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Acupuncture-related techniques and low-level laser therapy could be beneficial for pain management for older ***: To examine the effect of low-level laser acupuncture(LA) in reducing postoperative pain, painrelated interference in daily life, morphine consumption, and morphine-related side effects in older patients with knee osteoarthritis who underwent ***, setting, participants and intervention: A single-blind randomized placebo-controlled trial was conducted. Patients(N = 82) were recruited and randomly assigned via a computer-generated list to the LA group or a placebo group. The LA group received low-level laser therapy at Sanyinjiao(SP6), Taixi(KI3),Kunlun(BL60), Fengshi(GB31), Futu(ST32) and Neiguan(PC6) after TKA, while the placebo acupuncture group received the same treatment procedure without laser energy *** outcome measures: The primary outcome was postoperative pain intensity, and it was measured at baseline and hours 2, 6, 10, 24, 48 and 72 after TKA. The secondary outcomes, including relative pain,postoperative pain-related interference in daily life and morphine consumption, were measured at hours24, 48 and 72 after ***: Generalized estimating equations revealed significant between-group differences in pain intensity(P = 0.01), and trend differences in pain intensity for the LA group starting at hours 10 to 72(P < 0.05)and morphine consumption at hours 48 and 72(P < 0.05). The changes in pain-related interference in daily life were significant(P < 0.05) at 72 h, with the exception of the parameters for worst pain, mood,and sleep. Nausea and vomiting side effects from morphine had significant between-group differences at hours 10 and 24(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Low-level LA gradually reduced older patients’ postoperative pain intensity and morphine consumption within the first 72 h after their TKA for osteoarthritis. The Growth Value Model(GVM)proposed theoretical closed form formulas consist-ing of Return on Equity(ROE)and the Price-to-Book value ratio(P/B)for fair stock prices and expected rates of *** regression analysis can be employed to verify these theoretical closed form formulas,they cannot be explored by classical quintile or decile sorting approaches with intuition due to the essence of multi-factors and dynamical *** article uses visualization techniques to help intuitively explore *** discerning findings and contributions of this paper is that we put forward the concept of the smart frontier,which can be regarded as the reasonable lower limit of P/B at a specific ROE by exploring fair P/B with ROE-P/B 2D dynamical process *** coefficients in the formula can be determined by the quantile regression analysis with market *** moving paths of the ROE and P/B in the cur-rent quarter and the subsequent quarters show that the portfolios at the lower right of the curve approaches this curve and stagnates here after the portfolios are ***,exploring expected rates of return with ROE-P/B-Return 3D dynamical process visualization,the results show that the data outside of the lower right edge of the“smart frontier”has positive quarterly return rates not only in the t+1 quarter but also in the t+2 *** farther away the data in the t quarter is from the“smart frontier”,the larger the return rates in the t+1 and t+2 quarter.

Uveitis,or inflammation of the uveal tissues(iris,ciliary body and the choroid),and its contiguous structures,can lead to severe visual impairment and is among the leading causes of vision impairment worldwide(1).In clinical practice,specialists in uveitis and ocular immunology are called upon to manage a range of uveitis syndromes-infectious disease,noninfectious autoimmune conditions,and masquerade syndromes such as ***,ophthalmologists of all subspecialties(i.e.,medical and surgical retina,corneal surgeons,orbital/oculoplastic surgeons,and comprehensive ophthalmologists)are called upon to manage uveitis syndromes,emphasizing clear importance to understanding common uveitis syndromes,diagnostic workups,and the state-of-the-art in uveitis and ocular inflammation care.

The switch from methadone to buprenorphine-naloxone for individuals with heroin dependence is associated with several obstacles and *** patients may experience discomfort from discontinuing methadone, precipitated withdrawal symptoms induced by buprenorphine-naloxone,and poor psychosocial adjustments such as anticipatory anxiety regarding severe opioid *** herein describe a 46-year-old man with a history of heroin dependence who underwent Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)-facilitated switching from methadone to buprenorphine-naloxone. No precipitated withdrawal was induced by buprenorphine-naloxone. The drug-switching process was successful and smooth. He maintained abstinence from heroin for the following year. In this case, we applied TCM for enhancement of methadone metabolism and detoxification, analgesic effects, and anxiolytic and hypnotic effects during the drug switch. We observed that TCM effectively facilitated the switch from methadone to buprenorphine-naloxone in our case. Further studies regarding TCM-facilitated treatment for heroin dependence should be conducted.

BACKGROUND We report a case of lorazepam-induced agitated delirium treated with haloperidol,which in turn triggered the onset of neuroleptic malignant syndrome(NMS).The latter condition,a medical emergency,was effectively treated with medical treatment and dexmedetomidine,a versatile and highly selective shortacting alpha-2 adrenergic agonist with sedative-hypnotic and anxiolytic *** SUMMARY A 65-year-old man with a history of bipolar disorder presented to the emergency department with severe abdominal discomfort after binge *** his hospital stay,he received intravenous lorazepam for *** the next day,he became delirious and was thus treated with seven doses(5 mg each)of haloperidol over a 48 h *** of NMS(hyperthermia,rigidity,myoclonus of upper limbs,impaired consciousness,tachypnea,and dark urine)became apparent and haloperidol was immediately suspended and brisk diuresis was *** intensive care unit admission,he was confused,disoriented,and markedly *** infusion was started with the goal of achieving a Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale score of-1 or *** was resolved gradually and the patient stabilized,permitting discontinuation of dexmedetomidine after 3 *** Dexmedetomidine may be clinically helpful for the management of NMS,most likely because of its sympatholytic activity.

The high incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)recurrence negatively impacts outcomes of patients treated with curative intent despite advances in surgical techniques and other locoregional liver-targeting *** the past few decades,the emergence of transcriptome analysis tools,including real-time quantitative reverse transcription PCR,microarrays,and RNA sequencing,has not only largely contributed to our knowledge about the pathogenesis of recurrent HCC but also led to the development of outcome prediction models based on differentially expressed gene *** recent years,the single-cell RNA sequencing technique has revolutionized our ability to study the complicated crosstalk between cancer cells and the immune environment,which may benefit further investigations on the role of different immune cells in HCC recurrence and the identification of potential therapeutic *** the present article,we summarized the major findings yielded with these transcriptome methods within the framework of a causal model consisting of three domains:primary cancer cells;carcinogenic stimuli;and tumor *** provided a comprehensive review of the insights that transcriptome analyses have provided into diagnostics,surveillance,and treatment of HCC recurrence.
