Acute liver failure(ALF)is a life-threatening condition that manifests in an extremely serious manner and progresses *** following study investigated the protective effect of astragaloside IV(AS-IV),a traditional Chinese drug,on ALF,and its underlying mechanisms,focusing on autophagy and inflammation *** were randomly divided into a saline group,a D-galactosamine and lipopolysac-charide(D-GalN/LPS)group and an AS-IV *** analysis,immunohistochemistry,cytometric bead array,high-throughput quantitative PCR,flow cytometry and Western analysis were used to assess inflammation and liver damage 5 hours after D-GalN/LPS *** IV treatment reduced mortality by alleviating D-GalN/LPS–induced hepatic damage and decreasing inflammation(decreasing Ly6c+monocyte levels,reducing inflammatory cytokines and increasing anti-inflammatory factors)as well as upregulating ***,PCR array was used to detect expression of autophagy-related genes,which demonstrated a Log2 fold change in gene expression between the AS-IV and D-GalN/LPS groups ranging from 1.19 to-3.53,with Tnfsf10 showing the largest alteration be-tween the two *** data suggest that AS-IV may alleviate ALF by upregulating autophagy and reducing inflammation,and it may therefore be an interesting drug for alleviating ALF.

Building surface cool materials are novel materials that can reduce urban heat island intensity and decrease building energy *** study investigated the impact of radiative properties of materials,façade orientation,and morphological parameters on energy consumption in six typical residential neighborhoods in Nanjing,*** neighborhood energy consumption of 16 application schemes considering the façade orientation factor is compared to determine the best energy-saving *** and annual energy-saving rates,savings in electricity costs,and the price ceiling for materials per unit area are *** results show that for low-rise buildings,using cool materials only on the roof can reduce the annual energy consumption by 1%.When cool or super cool materials are also used on the building façade,the annual energy saving rate can be up to 3.4%and 4.3%,*** cool materials on the south façade of buildings is not recommended due to significant heat loss in *** savings in electricity costs and the price ceiling for materials per unit area,the price of cool and super cool materials should be less than 3.0 and 3.7 RMB/m2,respectively,assuming a lifespan of eight years in Nanjing.

Aerocapture is one of the key technologies for low-cost transportation, with high demands of autonomy, accuracy, and robustness of guidance and control, due to its high reliability requirements for only one chance of trying.A unified numerical predictor-corrector guidance method based on characteristic models for aerocapture is *** numerical predictor-corrector guidance method is used to achieve autonomy and high accuracy, and the characteristic model control method is introduced to achieve *** the same time, by transforming path constraints, characteristic model equations including apogee deviation and altitude differentiation are *** on the characteristic model equations, a unified guidance law which can satisfy path constraints and guidance objectives simultaneously is *** guidance problems, guidance deviation is not directly obtained from the output of the dynamics at present, but is calculated through integral and algebraic ***, the method of directly discretizing differential equations cannot be used to establish characteristic models, which brings great difficulty to characteristic modeling.A method for characteristic modeling of guidance problems is proposed, and convergence analysis of the proposed guidance law is also ***, a joint numerical simulation of guidance and control considering navigation deviation and various uncertainties is conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed *** proposed unified method can be extended to general aerodynamic entry guidance designs, providing theoretical and methodological support for them.

In this study,we present a novel nodal integration-based particle finite element method(N-PFEM)designed for the dynamic analysis of saturated *** approach incorporates the nodal integration technique into a generalised Hellinger-Reissner(HR)variational principle,creating an implicit PFEM *** mitigate the volumetric locking issue in low-order elements,we employ a node-based strain smoothing *** discretising field variables at the centre of smoothing cells,we achieve nodal integration over cells,eliminating the need for sophisticated mapping operations after re-meshing in the *** express the discretised governing equations as a min-max optimisation problem,which is further reformulated as a standard second-order cone programming(SOCP)***,pore water pressure,and displacements are simultaneously determined using the advanced primal-dual interior point ***,our numerical model offers improved accuracy for stresses and pore water pressure compared to the displacement-based PFEM *** experiments demonstrate that the N-PFEM efficiently captures both transient and long-term hydro-mechanical behaviour of saturated soils with high accuracy,obviating the need for stabilisation or regularisation techniques commonly employed in other nodal integration-based PFEM *** work holds significant implications for the development of robust and accurate numerical tools for studying saturated soil dynamics.

The demand for lightweight,thin electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding film materials with high shielding effectiveness(SE),excellent mechanical properties,and stability in complex environments is particularly pronounced in the realm of flexible and portable electronic ***,we developed an ultra-thin film(CNT@GC)in which the glassy carbon(GC)layer wrapped around and welded carbon nanotubes(CNTs)to form a core-shell network structure,leading to exceptional tensile strength(327.2 MPa)and electrical conductivity(2.87×10^(5) S·m^(−1)).The CNT@GC film achieved EMI SE of 60 dB at a thickness of 2µm after post-acid treatment and high specific SE of 3.49×10^(5) dB·cm^(2)·g^(−1),with comprehensive properties surpassing those of the majority of previous shielding ***,the CNT@GC film exhibited Joule heating capability,reaching a surface temperature of 135℃at 3 V with a fast thermal response of about 0.5 s,enabling anti-icing/de-icing *** work presented a methodology for constructing a robust CNT@GC film with high EMI shielding performance and exceptional Joule heating capability,demonstrating immense potential in wearable devices,defense,and aerospace applications.

The failure types in gear systems vary,with typical ones mainly including pitting,cracking,wear,and broken *** modeling and stiffness calculation methods have been developed for various gear failure types.A unified method for typical gear failure modeling and stiffness calculation is introduced in this study by considering the deviations in the time-varying meshing stiffness(TVMS)of faulty gears resulting from the use of different ***,a gear tooth is discretized into a large number of microelements expressed with a matrix,and unified models of typical gear failures are built by adjusting the values of the matrix *** values and positions of the microelements in the tooth failure model matrix have the same physical meaning as the parameter variables in the potential energy method(PEM),so the matrix-based failure model can be perfectly matched with ***,a unified method for TVMS is *** of healthy and faulty gears with pitting,wear,crack,and broken tooth is performed with the matrix equation,and the corresponding TVMS values are calculated by incorporating the matrix models with *** the basis of the results,the mechanism of typical fault types that affect TVMS is analyzed,and the conclusions are verified through the finite element *** developed unified method is a promising technique for studying the dynamic response characteristics of gear systems with different failure types because of its superiority in eliminating stiffness deviations.

Background The abnormalities of coronary arteries, though rare and sometimes benign, may first present clinically as myocardial infarction or sudden death. Multi-detector computed tomography （MDCT） is a non-invasive test that is highly suitable for detecting these anomalies. The study aimed to review the 64-MDCT appearance of the coronary artery anomalies in 66 patients and to discuss the clinical importance of these *** In 6014 consecutive patients examined over 12 months by 64-MDCT for the study of coronary artery disease, 66 were diagnosed for coronary artery anomalies. All patients were symptomatic for one or more of the following diseases： chest pain, dyspnoea, palpitations, arrhythmia and myocardial infarction. Nine patients had undergone a coronary angiography. All the CT images were evaluated by two radiologists and one cardiologist. The right coronary artery （RCA） and the conus branch arising separately, myocardial bridging and duplication of arteries were not analysed in our *** The incidence of coronary artery anomalies found in our study group was 1.097%. In the selected patients, seven different types of coronary anomalies were found by 64-MDCT examination. The high takeoff, origin of the coronary artery from the opposite or noncoronary sinus with an anomalous course, and coronary artery fistula were the three common forms of anomalies （n=16, 18 and 16, respectively）. Compared with the results of the coronary angiography, the number of the drainage sites of two coronary artery fistula was less in MDCT images （3 small sites in total）. In all cases, coronary artery computed tomography angiography （CTA） technique was able to recognize the origin of the coronary artery, its three-dimensional course and its spatial relationship with the adjacent structures. The phenomenology involved in severe accidents in nuclear reactors is highly ***,integrated analysis programs used for severe accident analysis heavily rely on custom empirical parameters,which introduce considerable ***,in recent years,the field of severe accidents has shifted its focus toward applying uncertainty analysis methods to quantify uncertainty in safety assessment programs,known as“best estimate plus uncertainty(BEPU).”This approach aids in enhancing our comprehension of these programs and their further development and *** study concentrates on a third-generation pressurized water reactor equipped with advanced active and passive mitigation *** an Integrated Severe Accident Analysis Program(ISAA),numerical modeling and uncertainty analysis were conducted on severe accidents resulting from large break loss of coolant *** uncertainty parameters of the ISAA program were meticulously *** Wilks'formula,the developed uncertainty program code,SAUP,was employed to carry out Latin hypercube sampling,while ISAA was employed to execute batch *** analysis was then conducted on two figures of merit,namely hydrogen generation and the release of fission products within the pressure *** calculations revealed that hydrogen production and the fraction of fission product released exhibited a normal distribution,ranging from 182.784 to 330.664 kg and from 15.6 to 84.3%,*** ratio of hydrogen production to reactor thermal power fell within the range of 0.0578–0.105.A sensitivity analysis was performed for uncertain input parameters,revealing significant correlations between the failure temperature of the cladding oxide layer,maximum melt flow rate,size of the particulate debris,and porosity of the debris with both hydrogen generation and the release of fission products.
