To better understand the etiology of begomovirus epidemics in regions under invasion we need to know how indigenous and invasive whitefly vectors respond to virus infection. We investigated both direct and indirect effects of infection with Tomato yellow leaf curl virus （TYLCV） on the performance of the invasive Q biotype and the indigenous Asian ZHJ2 biotype of whitefly Bemisia tabaci. The Q biotype performed better than the ZHJ2 biotype on either uninfected or virus-infected tomato plants. However, virus-infection of host plants did not, or only marginally affected, the performance of either biotype of whiteflies in terms of fecundity, longevity, survival, development and population increase. likewise, association of the vectors with TYLCV did not affect fecundity and longevity of the Q or ZHJ2 biotypes on cotton, a non-host of TYLCV. These results indicate that the alien Q biotype whitefly, but not the indigenous ZHJ2 biotype, is likely to become the major vector of TYLCV in the field and facilitate virus epidemics.

This paper studied the biofilm properties and corrosion behavior of sulfate reducing bacteria （SRB） on stainless steel 316L （SS316L） surface in circulating cooling water system with and without additives including hydroxy ethyl fork phosphonic acid （HEDP）, dodecyl dimethyl benzyl anunonium chlotide （1227） and NaClO. Biochemical technique, electrochemical technology, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） and scanning electron microscope （SEM） were used. The results show that the extracellular polymeric substance （EPS） in biofilm attached on the SS316L surface mainly contain proteins and polysaccharides, the contents are 98 ***-2 and ***-2, respectively. The polysaccharides were cut by 1227 about 80%, while 55% by NaCIO. The proteins were reduced by NaCIO about 53%, while only 30% by 1227. The potentiodynamic polarization shows that the corrosion potential of SS316L was enhanced from -0.495 V to -0.390 V by the chemical additive delaying the occurrence of the corrosion. And the corrosion rate was also reduced from 5.19 × 10^-3 mm·a^-1 to 2.42 × 10^-3 mm＇a . But NaCIO stdl caused pitting corrosion after stenhzmg the bacteria, while 1227 can form a protective film on the surface of SS316L. Though HEDP contribute to the bacteria activity, it can enhance the breakdown potential. XPS results confirmed that 1227 can change the value of C：O in the biofilm attached on metal surface, and NaCIO can eliminate the existence of amidogen. This study would provide some recommendations for the selection of chemical additives in the thermal power plant.

Carbon dots(CDs) have attracted considerable research interest in recent years due to their unique optical properties, chemical inertness, facile synthesis from a wide range of starting materials, and advantages over classic quantum dots and organic *** methods have been developed for preparing the CDs, including chemical oxidation, hydro/solvothermal method,electrochemical method, microwave-assisted synthesis, and direct carbonization method. Importantly, the superior electronic properties of CDs including efficient light harvesting and prominent photoinduced electron transfer have aroused considerable attention in fluorescence(FL) and chemiluminescence(CL) sensing field. In this review, we aim to demonstrate the recent progress of CDs in the synthesis, FL and CL sensing applications. This review gives new insights into how to use different synthetic methods to tune the structure of the CDs, with the major focus on FL and CL sensing.

Optimization of battery life and capacity by setting dense mesopores on the surface of nanosheets used as electrode

Nanosheets with mesopores on the surface have been prepared using molybdenum trioxide(α-MoO3).The effect of mesopores on the performance of the electrode remains *** MoO3 nanosheets obtained in this study exhibited great battery performance, including good capacity, prolonged recycling life cycles, and excellent rate performance;e.g., 780 mAh/g when charged under a super high current-density of 1000 m A/*** nanosheets demonstrated excellent stability, maintaining a capacity of 1189 mAh/g after 20 cycles, and 1075 mAh/g after 50 cycles;thus preventing the capacity to decrease to values under the scanning rate of 100 mA/*** high-purity MoO3 nanosheets are well-ordered and have dense mesopores on the surface;these micropores contribute to the excellent electrode performance of the host electrode materials;the performance parameters include prolonged battery life and *** mesopores or active sites on the electrode surface can be an alternative way to obtain stable electrodes in the future.

Due to the remarkable carrier mobility and nonlinear characteristic, MoS2 is considered to be a powerful competitor as an effective optical modulated material in fiber lasers. In this paper, the MoS2 films are prepared by the chemical vapor deposition method to guarantee the high quality of the crystal lattice and uniform thickness. The transfer of the films to microfiber and the operation of gold plated films ensure there is no heat-resistant damage and anti-oxidation. The modulation depth of the prepared integrated microfiber-MoS2 saturable absorber is 11.07%. When the microfiber-MoS2 saturable absorber is used as a light modulator in the Q-switching fiber laser, the stable pulse train with a pulse duration of 888 ns at 1530.9 nm is obtained. The ultimate output power and pulse energy of output pulses are 18.8 mW and 88 nJ, respectively. The signal-to-noise ratio up to 60 dB indicates the good stability of the laser. This work demonstrates that the MoS2 saturable absorber prepared by the chemical vapor deposition method can serve as an effective nonlinear control device for the Q-switching fiber laser.

Solution-processed chalcopyrite solar cells are widely regarded as a promising alternative method in reducing the cost compared with vacuum-based *** is noted that the absorber layer usually needs to be prepared under a high insert pressure（～1.6 atm） to suppress element loss or under a mild pressure but additional surface etching is needed for fabricating high efficient solar ***,a copper gradient structured precursor is proposed to prepare CuIn（S,Se）2（CISSe） film under a mild pressure（1.1 atm）.The designed gradient Cu not only promotes crystal grain growth and tailors the defects,but also avoids the surface etching of the formed CISSe film for the fabrication of high efficient solar ***,Cu gradient design decreases the conduction band offset of heterojunction,boosting the carriers transport across the p-n ***,a 13,35% efficient CISSe solar cell,comparable to the high efficient CISSe solar cell prepared by this method under high pressure or with film surface etching,is *** work provides a facile pathway to fabricate high efficient solution-processed chalcopyrite solar cell,avoiding high selenization pressure and film etching,and shows huge potential for solutionprocessed copper-based solar cells.

The oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is a crucial process in Zn-air systems,and the catalyst plays a significant role in this ***,reported catalysts often suffer from poor durability and stability during the ORR ***,we synthesized La-Fe bimetallic nanoparticles encapsulated in a N-doped porous carbon dodecahedron(La-Fe/NC)originated from ZIF-8 by a simple direct *** La-Fe/NC catalyst had a numerous mesopores and dendritic outer layer generated by carbon nanotubes(CNTs),forming a high conductivity network that helped to optimize electron transfer and mass transport in the ORR *** effect of different doping transition metals and metal ratios on the ORR activity of Zn-air batteries was *** alkaline media,the La-Fe/NC showed the highest ORR catalytic activity,with a half-wave potential(E_(1/2))of 0.879 V(***,Pt/C 0.845 V).After 5000 cycles,the E_(1/2)of the La-Fe/NC catalyst only decreased by 7 m V,and its performance in stability tests and methanol tolerance tests was superior to Pt/*** used as the air electrode in a Zn-air battery,the La-Fe/NC catalyst demonstrated an excellent specific capacity of 755 m Ah/g and a peak power density of179.8 m W/cm~*** results provide important insights for the development of high-performance Zn-air batteries and new directions for the design of ORR catalysts.
