Lower Earth Orbit(LEO) satellite becomes an important part of complementing terrestrial communication due to its lower orbital altitude and smaller propagation delay than Geostationary satellite. However, the LEO satellite communication system cannot meet the requirements of users when the satellite-terrestrial link is blocked by obstacles. To solve this problem, we introduce Intelligent reflect surface(IRS) for improving the achievable rate of terrestrial users in LEO satellite communication. We investigated joint IRS scheduling, user scheduling, power and bandwidth allocation(JIRPB) optimization algorithm for improving LEO satellite system throughput.The optimization problem of joint user scheduling and resource allocation is formulated as a non-convex optimization problem. To cope with this problem, the nonconvex optimization problem is divided into resource allocation optimization sub-problem and scheduling optimization sub-problem firstly. Second, we optimize the resource allocation sub-problem via alternating direction multiplier method(ADMM) and scheduling sub-problem via Lagrangian dual method repeatedly.Third, we prove that the proposed resource allocation algorithm based ADMM approaches sublinear convergence theoretically. Finally, we demonstrate that the proposed JIRPB optimization algorithm improves the LEO satellite communication system throughput.

The traditional simple random sampling(SRS)design method is inefficient in many cases.Statisticians proposed some new designs to increase efficiency.In this paper,as a variation of moving extremes ranked set sampling(MERSS),double MERSS(DMERSS)is proposed and its properties for estimating the population mean are considered.It turns out that,when the underlying distribution is symmetric,DMERSS gives unbiased estimators of the population mean.Also,it is found that DMERSS is more efficient than the SRS and MERSS methods for usual symmetric distributions(normal and uniform).For asymmetric distributions considered in this study,the DMERSS has a small bias and it is more efficient than SRS for usual asymmetric distribution(exponential)for small sample sizes.

Endothelial cell proliferation plays an important role in angiogenesis and treatment of related diseases.The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of polyethylenimine(PEI)-modified graphene quantum dots(GQDs)gene vectors on endothelial cell prolifera-tion.The GQDs-cationic polymer gene vectors were synthesized by amidation reaction,and used to deliver pzNF580 gene to Human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)for promoting their proliferation.The chemical modification of GQDs can ad-just gene vectors'surface properties and charge distribution,thereby enhancing their interaction with gene molecules,which could effectively compress the pZNF580 gene.The CCK-8 assay showed that the cell viability was higher than 80%at higher vector concentration(40μg/mL),demonstrating that the GQDs-cationic polymer gene vectors and their gene complex nanoparticles(NPs)having low cytotoxicity.The results of the live/dead cell double staining assay were consistent with those of the CCK-8 assay,in which the cell viability of the A-GQDs/pZNF580(94.38±6.39%),C-GQDs-PEI-polylactic acid-co-polyacetic acid(PLGA)/pZNF580(98.65±6.60%)and N-GQDs-PEI-PLGA/pZNF580(90.08±1.60%)groups was significantly higher than that of the Lipofectamine 2000/pzNF580(71.98±3.53%)positive treatment group.The results of transfection and western blot experiments showed that the vector significantly enhanced the delivery of plasmid to HUVECs and increased the expression of pZNF580 in HUVECs.In addition,the gene NPs better promote endothelial cell migration and proliferation.The cell migration rate and proliferation ability of C-GQDs-PEI-PLGA/pZNF580 and N-GQDs-PEI-PLGA/pZNF580 treatment groupS were higher than those of Lipofectamine 2000/pDNA treatment group.Modified GQDs possess the potential to serve as efficient gene carriers.They tightly bind gene molecules through charge and other non-covalent interactions,significantly improving the effciency of gene delivery and ensuring the smooth release of genes within the cell.This innovative strategy provides a

In this work,we focus on the conforming and nonconforming leap-frog virtual element methods for the generalized nonlinear Schrodinger equation,and establish their unconditional stability and optimal error estimates.By constructing a time-discrete system,the error between the solutions of the continuous model and the numerical scheme is separated into the temporal error and the spatial error,which makes the spatial error τ-independent.The inverse inequalities in the existing conforming and new constructed nonconforming virtual element spaces are utilized to derive the L^(∞)-norm uniform boundedness of numerical solutions without any restrictions on time-space step ratio,and then unconditionally optimal error estimates of the numerical schemes are obtained naturally.What needs to be emphasized is that if we use the pre-existing nonconforming virtual elements,there is no way to derive the L^(∞)-norm uniform boundedness of the functions in the nonconforming virtual element spaces so as to be hard to get the corresponding inverse inequalities.Finally,several numerical examples are reported to confirm our theoretical results.

Inspired by the demand of improving the riding comfort and meeting the lightweight design of the vehicle, an inerter-based X-structure nonlinear energy sink(IXNES) is proposed and applied in the half-vehicle system to enhance the dynamic performance. The X-structure is used as a mechanism to realize the nonlinear stiffness characteristic of the NES, which can realize the flexibility, adjustability, high efficiency, and easy operation of nonlinear stiffness, and is convenient to apply in the vehicle suspension, and the inerter is applied to replacing the mass of the NES based on the mass amplification characteristic. The dynamic model of the half-vehicle system coupled with the IX-NES is established with the Lagrange theory, and the harmonic balance method(HBM) and the pseudo-arc-length method(PALM) are used to obtain the dynamic response under road harmonic excitation. The corresponding dynamic performance under road harmonic and random excitation is evaluated by six performance indices, and compared with that of the original half-vehicle system to show the benefits of the IX-NES. Furthermore, the structural parameters of the IX-NES are optimized with the genetic algorithm. The results show that for road harmonic and random excitation, using the IX-NES can greatly reduce the resonance peaks and root mean square(RMS) values of the front and rear suspension deflections and the front and rear dynamic tire loads, while the resonance peaks and RMS values of the vehicle body vertical and pitching accelerations are slightly larger.When the structural parameters of the IX-NES are optimized, the vehicle body vertical and pitching accelerations of the half-vehicle system could reduce by 2.41% and 1.16%,respectively, and the other dynamic performance indices are within the reasonable ranges.Thus, the IX-NES combines the advantages of the inerter, X-structure, and NES, which improves the dynamic performance of the half-vehicle system and provides an effective option for vibration attenuation in the vehicle engineering.

Recent years have seen a significant increase in interest in green manufacturing as a key driver of global carbon-neutral efforts and sustainable development.To find the research hotspots of green manufacturing and reveal future research trends,this study reviewed and analyzed research articles from the Web of Science database on green manufacturing from1991 to 2022 using a bibliometric method.The findings indicate a significant rise in the number of articles related to green manufacturing since the 2010s.Moreover,there has been an increase in the involvement of scholars from developing countries such as China and India in this field.Based on the literature review and bibliometric cluster analysis on green manufacturing,we believed that future research may continue following the lines of intelligent technology integration,adoption of frontier engineering techniques,and industry development in line with carbon reduction targets.A framework for future green manufacturing development is proposed,with a focus on Chinese policies.The framework could provide policy implications for developing countries looking to pursue opportunities for development in green manufacturing.

A survey of decision making in adversarial games

In many practical applications, such as poker, chess, drug interdiction, cybersecurity, and national defense, players often have adversarial stances, i.e., the selfish actions of each player inevitably or intentionally inflict loss or wreak havoc on other players. Therefore, adversarial games are important in realworld applications. However, only special adversarial games, such as Bayesian games, are reviewed in the literature. In this respect, this study aims to provide a systematic survey of three main game models widely employed in adversarial games, i.e., zero-sum normal-form and extensive-form games, Stackelberg(security) games, and zero-sum differential games, from an array of perspectives, including basic knowledge of game models,(approximate) equilibrium concepts, problem classifications, research frontiers,(approximate) optimal strategy-seeking techniques, prevailing algorithms, and practical applications. Finally, promising future research directions are also discussed for relevant adversarial games.

Dear Editor,We report a rare case of endogenous endophthalmitis caused by Candida albicans in a patient with chronic renal failure concomitant hemodialysis.A 71-year-old man with a history of hypertension and 2-year chronic renal failure on hemodialysis via a native arteriovenous fistula(AVF)was presented to the local hospital due to fever 3wk ago.No pathogens were detected through blood culture on admission,and his fever gradually subsided with intravenous ceftriaxone sodium.After a week of fever,he experienced progressive blurred vision in both eyes,accompanied by pain and headaches.Subsequent magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)of the brain revealed sinusitis.He had not undergone any previous eye surgeries or trauma.

In order to meet the requirements of the marine environment for microwave absorption(MA)materials,we put forward the strategy of constructing multi-functional composite materials,which integrate microwave absorption,anti-corrosion,and antibacterial properties.Herein,graphene oxide(GO)was used as a template to induce the growth of zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8),simultaneously as a two-dimensional(2D)nanocontainers to load corrosion inhibitors to achieve pH-responsive and self-healing properties.Finally,quaternary ammonium salt(dimethyl octadecyl(3-trimethoxylsilyl propyl)ammonium chloride(DMAOP))and sodium ascorbate(VCNa)were introduced to achieve synergistic antibacterial activity and the reduction of GO.The 2D strip-like structure of ZIF-8 was due to the confined growth induced by the electrostatic attraction between ZIF-8 and GO sheets.The as-obtained reduced GO(RGO)/ZIF-8/DMAOP5 exhibited excellent microwave absorption(MA)properties,with a minimum reflection loss(RL)value of-47.08 dB at 12.73 GHz when the thickness was 2.8 mm.Moreover,the effective absorption bandwidth reached 6.84 GHz.After soaking in 3.5%NaCl solution for 35 days,the RGO/ZIF-8/DMAOP5-0.7%coating still achieved an impedance value of 4.585×107Ω·cm^(2) and a protective efficiency of 99.994%,providing superior anti-corrosion properties.In addition,fantastic antibacterial activity was obtained,with the antibacterial rates of RGO/ZIF-8/DMAOP_(10) reaching 99.39%and 100%against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.This work could open new avenues towards the development of a new generation of multifunctional MA materials.
