Achieving enhanced energy storage performance and ultra-fast discharge time in tungsten–bronze ceramic

The rapid development of capacitors with high energy density and efficiency has been driven by advanced electronic systems and innovative pulsed power *** this study,we prepared Sr_(4.5−x)Ba_(x)Sm_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(9.5)O_(30)(x=2.5,3,3.5,4,4.5)dielectric ceramics,which exhibited structural distortion due to the co-occupation of Ba^(2+),Sr^(2+),and Sm^(3+)in the A-site and the partial substitution of Nb^(5+)by Zr^(4+)in the *** ordered/disordered distribution due to these distortions thus generated polar nanoregions(PNRs)and induced a relaxation ferroelectric behavior,which was verified by the high-resolution transmission electron *** the use of the Vogel–Fulcher and Maxwell–Boltzmann equations,we found that easy inversion and small dipole sizes are crucial for achieving high energy storage density and *** Sr_(4.5−x)Ba_(x)Sm_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(9.5)O_(30)(x=3.5)dielectric ceramic displayed a ferroelectric/paraelectric transition near room *** ferroelectric testing revealed large energy storage density(Wrec=4.31 J·cm^(−3))and high efficiency(η=93.8%)at 310 kV·cm−***,Sr_(4.5−x)Ba_(x)Sm_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(9.5)O_(30)(x=4.5)exhibited higher breakdown field strength due to its large resistivity and small grain *** led to energy storage density of approximately 5.3 J·cm^(−3)at 460 kV·cm^(−1).Additionally,Sr_(4.5−x)Ba_(x)Sm_(0.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(9.5)O_(30)(x=3.5)demonstrated current density(CD)of approximately 713.38 A·cm^(−2)and power density(PD)of approximately 87.51 MW·cm^(−3),with ultrafast discharge time of 34 ns and excellent discharge energy density(Wdis)of approximately 2.27 J·cm^(−3).Overall,this study presents a promising approach for developing dielectric ceramic materials that hold potential for applications in innovative pulsed power components.

Promoting hybrid twins structure to reduce yield asymmetry of rolled AZ31 plates by combining side-rolling and torsion

In this work,an as-rolled AZ31 square bar with c-axis//ND(normal direction)texture was ***-rolling and reciprocating torsion were performed to treat the *** evolution and tensile-compressive properties were investigated in *** rolled AZ31 bar exhibits a large yield asymmetry along the rolling direction(RD).Reciprocating torsion can generate extension twins to introduce twin boundaries and *** twin structure can reduce yield ***,only limited regions in the rolled AZ31 bar can be twinned during ***-side-rolling along the transverse direction(TD)can generate two texture components(c-axis//TD texture and c-axis//ND texture)by introducing profuse{10–12}*** dual texture components help increase the regions which are favorable for twinning during ***,combining side-rolling and reciprocating torsion generates hybrid{10–12}twins structure on the entire cross-section,resulting in a remarkably low yield *** relevant mechanisms were discussed in detail.

The modification of titanium in mesoporous silica for Co-based Fischer–Tropsch catalysts

Ordered SBA-15 mesoporous silica with incorporated titanium was successfully synthesized via a onepot hydrothermal crystallization *** characterization including powder X-ray diffraction,Brunauer–Emmett–Teller,transmission electron microscope,temperatureprogrammed reduction,temperature-programmed desorption,Fourier transform infrared and ultraviolet-visible-near infrared spectrometer was performed to explore the physical and chemical structures of both the supports and the *** results showed that titanium was successfully incorporated into the mesoporous silica framework with a limited amount of titanium(Si/Ti>20),and the mesoporous structure was ***,the increased titanium content inevitably resulted in the formation of anatase TiO2 particles on the support *** increased incorporated titanium strengthened the interactions between cobalt species and supports,which was favorable for the cobalt species dispersion,despite the limited cobalt oxide *** enhanced metalsupport interactions were beneficial for the CO/H2 ratio at the active cobalt sites,which facilitated the formation of more C5+*** study provides a promising method for support modification with incorporatedheteroatoms for the rational development of Fischer–Tropsch catalysts.

Study on energy release characteristics of reactive material casings under explosive loading

Reactive Materials(RMs),a new material with structural and energy release characteristics under shockinduced chemical reactions,are promising in extensive applications in national defense and military *** can increase the lethality of warheads due to their dual *** paper focuses on the energy release characteristics of RM casings prepared by alloy melting and casting process under explosive *** experiments of RM and conventional 2A12 aluminum alloy casings were conducted in free field to capture the explosive fireballs,temperature distribution,peak overpressure of the air shock wave and the fracture morphology of fragments of reactive material(RM)warhead casings by using high-speed camera,infrared thermal imager temperature and peak overpressure testing and scanning electron *** showed that an increase of both the fireball temperature and air shock wave were observed in all RM casings compared to conventional 2A12 aluminum ally *** RM casings can improve the peak overpressure of the air shock wave under explosion loading,though the results are different with different charge *** to the energy release characteristics of the RM,increasing the thickness of RM casings will increase the peak overpressure of the near-field air shock wave,while reducing the thickness will increase the peak overpressure of the far-field air shock wave.

While originally designed for natural language processing tasks,the self-attention mechanism has recently taken various computer vision areas by ***,the 2D nature of images brings three challenges for applying self-attention in computer vision:(1)treating images as 1D sequences neglects their 2D structures;(2)the quadratic complexity is too expensive for high-resolution images;(3)it only captures spatial adaptability but ignores channel *** this paper,we propose a novel linear attention named large kernel attention(LKA)to enable self-adaptive and long-range correlations in self-attention while avoiding its ***,we present a neural network based on LKA,namely Visual Attention Network(VAN).While extremely simple,VAN achieves comparable results with similar size convolutional neural networks(CNNs)and vision transformers(ViTs)in various tasks,including image classification,object detection,semantic segmentation,panoptic segmentation,pose estimation,*** example,VAN-B6 achieves 87.8%accuracy on ImageNet benchmark,and sets new state-of-the-art performance(58.2%PQ)for panoptic ***,VAN-B2 surpasses Swin-T 4%mloU(50.1%vs.46.1%)for semantic segmentation on ADE20K benchmark,2.6%AP(48.8%vs.46.2%)for object detection on COCO *** provides a novel method and a simple yet strong baseline for the *** code is available at https://***/Visual-Attention-Network.

PpMAPK6 regulates peach bud endodormancy release through interactions with PpDAM6

The MADS-box(DAM)gene PpDAM6,which is related to dormancy,plays a key role in bud endodormancy release,and the expression of PpDAM6 decreases during endodormancy ***,the interaction network that governs its regulation of the endodormancy release of flower buds in peach remains *** this study,we used yeast two-hybrid(Y2H)assays to identify a mitogen-activated protein kinase,PpMAPK6,that interacts with PpDAM6 in a peach dormancy-associated SSHcDNA ***6 is primarily located in the nucleus,and Y2H and bimolecular fluorescence complementation(BiFC)assays verified that PpMAPK6 interacts with PpDAM6 by binding to the MADS-box domain of *** real-time PCR(qRT-PCR)analysis showed that the expression of PpMAPK6 was opposite that of PpDAM6 in the endodormancy release of three cultivars with different chilling requirements(Prunus persica‘Chunjie’,Prunus persica ***‘Zhongyou 5’,Prunus persica‘Qingzhou peach’).In addition,abscisic acid(ABA)inhibited the expression of PpMAPK6 and promoted the expression of PpDAM6 in flower *** results indicated that PpMAPK6 might phosphorylate PpDAM6 to accelerate its degradation by interacting with *** expression of PpMAPK6 increased with decreasing ABA content during endodormancy release in peach flower buds,which in turn decreased the expression of PpDAM6 and promoted endodormancy release.

Effect of hydrophilic silica nanoparticles on hydrate formation during methane gas migration in a simulated wellbore

Natural gas hydrates are mostly formed in low-permeability and fractured muddy sedimentary forma*** suitable nanoparticles to the drilling fluid system can improve its filtrate resistance and fracture plugging,and effectively weaken the invasion of drilling fluid into the ***,it is likely that nanoparticles promote hydrate formation and accumulation in wellbores which will induce ***,this study investigated the effect of hydrophilic silica nanoparticles with particle sizes of 30 nm,60 nm,and 80 nm and concentrations of 0.5e4.0 wt%on hydrate formation during upward migration of methane gas using a dynamic simulation system for hydrate formation in a well*** experimental results show that under the condition of methane gas migration,hydrophilic silica nanoparticles inhibit hydrate *** inhibition effect increased with the growth in the particle size under a constant concentration,whereas it first increased and then decreased with increasing nanoparticle concentration under a constant particle *** strongest inhibition effect was observed at a hydrophilic silica nanoparticle concentration of 2.0 wt%.The influence of hydrophilic silica nanoparticles on hydrate formation may be mainly determined by their hydrophilic properties,heat and mass transfer,and gas migration in the *** research indicates that hydrophilic silica nanoparticles can be added to hydrate drilling fluid systems if their concentration can be properly controlled.

The phenomenon of rutting is one of the most serious problems on asphalt *** the surface temperature of the asphalt pavement is an effective method to solve the rutting problem on asphalt *** this study,a nano-sized-particlesfilled polymer composite was developed as an overlay to reflect solar energy and decrease the surface temperature of asphalt *** overlay was composed of acrylic or epoxy resin filled with nano TiO_(2) or nano TiNO_(2).The solar reflection of the nanoparticle-filled polymers was tested,and the results showed that solar reflection effectiveness of the TiO_(2)/acrylic composite reached the highest *** results of outdoor temperature tests indicate that the solar-reflective overlay could decrease the surface temperature of asphalt pavements by about 10℃ when the pavement temperature is about 60℃.

Initial formation of corrosion products on pure zinc in simulated body fluid

Zinc was recently suggested to be a potential candidate material for degradable coronary artery *** corrosion behavior of pure zinc exposed to r-SBF up to 336 h was investigated by electrochemical measurements and immersion tests. The morphology and chemical composites of the corrosion products were investigated by scanning electron microscope, grazing-incidence X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. The results demonstrate that the initial corrosion products on the pure zinc mainly consist of zinc oxide/hydroxide and zinc/calcium phosphate compounds. The pure Zn encounters uniform corrosion with an estimated corrosion rate of 0.02-0.07 mmy;during the immersion, which suggests the suitability of pure Zn for biomedical applications.
