Univariate imputation method for recovering missing data in wastewater treatment process

High-quality data play a paramount role in monitoring,control,and prediction of wastewater treatment process(WWTP)and can effectively ensure the efficient and stable operation of system.Missing values seriously degrade the accuracy,reliability and completeness of the data quality due to network collapses,connection errors and data transformation failures.In these cases,it is infeasible to recover missing data depending on the correlation with other variables.To tackle this issue,a univariate imputation method(UIM)is proposed for WWTP integrating decomposition method and imputation algorithms.First,the seasonal-trend decomposition based on loess method is utilized to decompose the original time series into the seasonal,trend and remainder components to deal with the nonstationary characteristics of WWTP data.Second,the support vector regression is used to approximate the nonlinearity of the trend and remainder components respectively to provide estimates of its missing values.A self-similarity decomposition is conducted to fill the seasonal component based on its periodic pattern.Third,all the imputed results are merged to obtain the imputation result.Finally,six time series of WWTP are used to evaluate the imputation performance of the proposed UIM by comparing with existing seven methods based on two indicators.The experimental results illustrate that the proposed UIM is effective for WWTP time series under different missing ratios.Therefore,the proposed UIM is a promising method to impute WWTP time series.

Due to sensor malfunctions and communication faults,multiple missing patterns frequently happen in wastewater treatment process(WWTP).Nevertheless,the existing missing data imputation works cannot stand multiple missing patterns because they have not sufficiently utilized of data information.In this article,a double-cycle weighted imputation(DCWI)method is proposed to deal with multiple missing patterns by maximizing the utilization of the available information in variables and instances.The proposed DCWI is comprised of two components:a double-cycle-based imputation sorting and a weighted K nearest neighbor-based imputation estimator.First,the double-cycle mechanism,associated with missing variable sorting and missing instance sorting,is applied to direct the missing values imputation.Second,the weighted K nearest neighbor-based imputation estimator is used to acquire the global similar instances and capture the volatility in the local region.The estimator preserves the original data characteristics as much as possible and enhances the imputation accuracy.Finally,experimental results on simulated and real WWTP datasets with non-stationarity and nonlinearity demonstrate that the proposed DCWI produces more accurate imputation results than comparison methods under different missing patterns and missing ratios.

目的探讨ATP5B对于调控口腔鳞癌细胞生物学行为的影响。方法培养人口腔上皮细胞OEC和两种口腔鳞癌HN4和CAL-27细胞系,采用Western Blotting和实时荧光定量聚合酶链式反应(quantitative real-time PCR,qRT-PCR)检测HN4细胞中ATP5B的表达及qRT-PCR检测HN4与正常细胞中miR-101的表达。通过构建过表达ATP5B的HN4细胞,分别应用细胞划痕和transwell观察各组细胞的迁移和侵袭。结果细胞中ATP5B的表达较正常组明显下调,HN4细胞中miR-101表达较正常组上调,统计学上有明显差异(P<0.05)。转染过表达ATP5B后HN4细胞的迁移和侵袭能力明显下降。结论通过构建ATP5B过表达模型可有效抑制口腔鳞癌细胞的迁移和侵袭。

Electrochemical conversion of CO_(2)to CO is an economically feasible method for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.Among various electrochemical approaches,solid oxide electrolysis cells(SOECs)show high potential for CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)-RR)due to their ability to operate at high temperatures,resulting in fast reaction kinetics and increased efficiency.Considering their main energy loss is still associated with the large overpotential at the fuel electrode,the development of the highly efficient and durable cathode for SOECs has been extensively searched after.Here,we propose an A-site doping strategy to enhance the properties of Sr_(2)Fe_(1.5)Mo_(0.5)O_(6−δ)(SFM),which improve its performance as a cathode in SOECs for CO_(2)-RR,demonstrating favorable activity and durability.The structural and physiochemical characterizations,together with DFT calculations,show that the partial replacement of Sr by Bi in the SFM double perovskite not only improves CO_(2) adsorption capability at the catalyst surface but also enhances oxygen ionic conduction inside the bulk oxide,resulting in enhanced CO_(2)electrocatalysis performance in SOECs.Specifically,a La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)Ga_(0.8)Mg_(0.2)O_(3−δ) (LSGM)electrolyte-supported single cell with the new Bi-doped SFM cathode demonstrates a large current density of 1620 mA cm^(−2) at a cell potential of 1.6 V at 850°C with good operational stability up to 200 h.Bi-doped SFM thus represents a highly promising cathode for ceramic CO_(2)electrolyzers and could accelerate our transition towards a carbon-neutral society.

背景:近年来,由嘌呤代谢紊乱引起的高尿酸血症的发病率不断增加,可诱导炎症反应并导致肾损伤。目的:探讨溶质载体家族2成员12(solute carrier family 2 member 12,SLC2A12)在高尿酸相关肾损伤中的作用和机制。方法:将肾小管细胞(HK2细胞)分为5组:HK2组、HK2+尿酸组、HK2+尿酸+NC组、HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12组、HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12+MK-2206组。用尿酸处理HK2细胞后转染siRNA SLC2A12,再通过MK-2206处理抑制AKT表达。采用CCK-8检测细胞增殖能力,TUNEL检测细胞凋亡情况,qRT-PCR和Western blot检测纤维化因子以及AKT/FOXO3a途径相关因子的表达,酶联免疫吸附实验检测细胞上清液中炎性细胞因子水平。结果与结论:①与HK2组比较,HK2+尿酸组细胞增殖能力降低,细胞凋亡增多,HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12组细胞增殖能力进一步降低,凋亡细胞进一步增多;与HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12组比较,HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12+MK-2206组细胞增殖能力升高,凋亡细胞减少;②与HK2组比较,HK2+尿酸组细胞中结缔组织生长因子、α-平滑肌肌动蛋白、转化生长因子β表达升高,HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12组3种因子表达进一步升高;与HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12组比较,HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12+MK-2206组3种因子表达有所下降;③与HK2组比较,HK2+尿酸组p-AKT、FOXO3a、p-FOXO3a表达升高,HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12组p-AKT表达进一步升高,而FOXO3a、p-FOXO3a表达下降;与HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12组比较,HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12+MK-2206组p-AKT表达下降,FOXO3a、p-FOXO3a表达升高;④与HK2组比较,HK2+尿酸组白细胞介素6、白细胞介素1β、肿瘤坏死因子α分泌水平升高,HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12组白细胞介素6、白细胞介素1β、肿瘤坏死因子α水平进一步升高;与HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12组比较,HK2+尿酸+siSLC2A12+MK-2206组白细胞介素6、白细胞介素1β、肿瘤坏死因子α水平下降;⑤结果表明,SLC2A12可能通过激活FOXO3a途径抵抗尿酸诱导的肾小管纤维化及炎症反应,从而保护高尿酸血症诱导的肾脏损伤。

In this paper,we mainly discuss finite horizon H2/H∞ control for discrete-time time-delay systems with infinite Markov jumps.Firstly,we present a stochastic bounded real lemma,which is crucial to solve mixed H2/H∞ control problem of the considered systems.With the variable substituting method,we transform a discrete system with control delay into a standard non-delay system.Then a sufficient and necessary condition is presented for the H2/H∞ control problem of infinite Markov jump systems.

MiR-430 Can Affect the Mesoderm Formation and Metamorphosis of Paralichthys olivaceus by Targeting lefty Gene

MiR-430 is a non-coding small RNA that participates in early embryonic development by acting on the Nodal signaling pathway.Its functions in Paralichthys olivaceus(P.olivaceus),however,remain unclear.In this study,through biological information technology,we hypothesized lefty was the target gene of miR-430.Lefty is a divergent member of the transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)superfamily,and is involved in regulating left-right patterning as an antagonist of the Nodal signaling pathway.To study the relationship between miR-430 and lefty gene,miR-430 and fluorescent expression vector were transfected into embryo cells.Our results showed that miR-430 has important effects on early embryonic development.It can inhibit the expressions of lefty and other genes related to Nodal signaling pathway.Additionally,the expression of miR-430 was involved in the metamorphosis of P.olivaceus.This study clarifies the function of miR-430 in P.olivaceus,which will be helpful for further research on the interactions between miR-430 and the Nodal signaling pathway.

A novel two-dimensional nanoheterojunction via facilitating electron–hole pairs separation for synergistic tumor phototherapy and immunotherapy

Nanomaterial-mediated phototherapy in tumor treatment has been developed rapidly in the past few years due to its noninvasive character.However,the low energy conversion efficiency and high recombination rate of the photo-triggered electron–hole pairs of single nano-agent limit the phototherapy efficiency.Herein,we constructed a novel two-dimensional nanoheterojunction MoS_(2)-Ti_(3)C_(2)(MT),which allowed a high photothermal conversion efficiency(59.1%)as well as an effective separation of photo-triggered electron–hole pairs for reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation under single 808 nm laser irradiation.Upon the modification of the mitochondrial targeted molecule(3-proxycarboxylic)triphenyl phosphine bromide(TPP)and 4T1 cell membrane,m@MoS_(2)-Ti_(3)C_(2)/TPP(m@MTT)could effectively target to the tumor cell and further locate to the mitochondria to amplify tumor-specific oxidative stress,which not merely effectively inhibits the local tumor growth but also induces tumor immunogenic cell death(ICD)for activating antitumor immune response.Additionally,cytosine guanine dinucleotide(CPG),as a Toll-like receptor 9(TLR9)agonist,was further introduced to the system to boost adaptive immune responses,resulting in improved level of cytotoxic T cells as well as a decrease in the number of regulatory T cells.In vivo antitumor mechanism studies demonstrated that not only the primary and distant tumors in 4T1 bearing-tumor mice model were significantly inhibited,but also the lung metastasis of tumor was effectively suppressed.Therefore,this work revealed the ROS generation mechanism of MT nanoheterojunction and provided a novel strategy to fabricate a biomedically applicable MT nanoheterojunction for tumor treatment.

Ultra-thin metal-organic framework nanoribbons

Structure engineering of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) at the nanometer scale is attracting increasing interest due to their unique properties and new functions that normally cannot be achieved in bulk MOF crystals. Here, we report the preparation of ultra-thin MOF nanoribbons(NRBs) by using metal-hydroxide nanostructures as the precursors. Importantly, this general method can be used to synthesize various kinds of ultra-thin MOF NRBs, such as MBDC(M = Co, Ni; BDC = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate), NiCoBDC,CoTCPP(TCPP = tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin) and MIL-53(Al) NRBs. As a proof-of-concept application, the as-prepared ultra-thin Co BDC NRBs have been successfully used as a fluorescent sensing platform for DNA detection, which exhibited excellent sensitivity and selectivity. The present strategy might open an avenue to prepare MOF nanomaterials with new structures and unique properties for various promising applications.

基于Transformer方法的任意风格迁移策略

目的任意风格迁移是图像处理任务的重要分支,卷积神经网络作为其常用的网络架构,能够协助内容和风格信息的提取与分离,但是受限于卷积操作感受野,只能捕获图像局部关联先验知识;而自然语言处理领域的Transformer网络能够突破距离限制,捕获长距离依赖关系,更好地建模全局信息,但是因为需要学习所有元素间的关联性,其表达能力的提高也带来了计算成本的增加。鉴于风格迁移过程与句子翻译过程的相似性,提出了一种混合网络模型,综合利用卷积神经网络和Transformer网络的优点并抑制其不足。方法首先使用卷积神经网络提取图像高级特征,同时降低图像尺寸。随后将提取的特征送入Transformer中,求取内容特征与风格特征间的关联性,并将内容特征替换为风格特征的加权和,实现风格转换。最后使用卷积神经网络将处理好的特征映射回图像域,生成艺术化图像。结果与5种先进的任意风格迁移方法进行定性和定量比较。在定性方面,进行用户调查,比较各方法生成图像的风格化效果,结果表明本文网络生成的风格化图像渲染效果更受用户喜爱;在定量方面,比较各方法的风格化处理速度,结果表明本文网络风格化速率排名第3,属于可接受范围内。此外,本文与现有的基于Transformer的任意风格迁移方法进行比较,突出二者间差异;对判别网络进行消融实验,表明判别网络的引入能够有效提升图像的光滑度和整洁度;最后,将本文网络应用于多种风格迁移任务,表明本文网络具有灵活性。结论本文提出的混合网络模型,综合了卷积神经网络和Transformer网络的优点,同时引入了判别网络,使生成的风格化图像更加真实和生动。
