Relationship between resistin level in serum and acute coronary syndrome or stable angina pectoris

Objective： To investigate the relationship between serum resistin level and acute coronary syndrome （ACS） or stable angina pectoris （SAP）. Methods： Sixty-five patients, with coronary artery disease, were enrolled and divided into three subgroups： acute myocardial infarction （AMI）, unstable angina pectoris （UAP） and SAP, and 26 healthy people were recruited as controls in the cross-sectional study. Serum resistin levels were determined by ELISA （enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay）, and WBC （white blood cell count）, hsCRP （high sensitive C-reaction protein）, CKmax （maximum of creatinkinase）, CK-MBmax （maximum of isozyme of creatinkinase） and cTnImax （maximum of troponin） were measured by standard laboratory methods. Results： The serum resistin levels were 4 folds higher in AMI patients, 2.43 folds in UAP patients and I. 12 folds in SAP patients than in the healthy controls （P〈0.05）. The resistin levels were also significantly different between AMI [（8.16±0.79） ng/ml], UAP [（5.59±0.75） ng/ml] and SAP [（3.45±0.56） ng/ml] groups （P〈0.01）; WBC, hsCRP, CK CK-MBmax and cTnlmax were significantly increased in AMI patients over UAP and SAP patients. Spearman analysis showed that serum resistin levels were positively correlated with WBC （r=0.412, P=0.046）, hsCRP （r=0.427,p=0.037）, CK CK-MBmax and cTnImax （r=0.731, 0.678, 0.656; P〈0.01）. Conclusion： Serum resistin levels increased with inflammatory factors and myocardial impairment. The results suggest that human resistin might play an important role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and AMI as an inflammatory factor.

In this study, a protocol was developed to identify the sex of earlier embryos of chicken （♂）-quail （♀） hybrids and successfully tested the sex proportion of each period （66-120 h）. We acquired cross bred eggs by artificial insemination, hatched them in the same batch according to the standard hatching condition of chicken, and collected earlier living embryos at 66, 72, 78, 84, 90, 96, 102, 108, 114, and 120 h randomly. We adopted RT-PCR protocol and multiple PCR, made the known sex quail as the external control, employed fl-actin as the internal control, and used primers that were designed according to conservative area of gene Wpkci of quail to identify the sex of earlier hybrid embryos. The results indicated that the primer of Wpkci can be used to identify the sex of hybrid embryos accurately; there were more male than female in earlier embryos, the sex proportion of earlier embryos compared with academic numerical value was significantly different （P〈0.01）, and there was no difference between different periods （P〉0.05）. In the present study, we concluded that a simple, fast, credible and stable protocol to identify the sex of earlier hybrids embryos had been established by using primer of Wpkci; in earlier embryos, the death rate of female was higher than that of male and there was no fluctuant peak.

aiM： To investigate the expression of fragile histidine triad （FHIT） protein in 64 patients with ulcerative colitis （UC） and Crohn＇s disease （CD）, and its relation with clinicopathological data. METHODS： Rabbit-anti-FHIT antibody was used to detect FHIT protein expression in 64 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue specimens of inflammatory bowel disease （IBD） by citrate-microwave-streptavidin （SP）-HRP immunohistochemical method. RESULTS： The positive FHIT protein expression was 22.79% ± 16.16%, 42.14% ± 16.82% in active and remittent phases of UC, 36.07% ± 19.23% in CD, and 57.05% ±8.86% in normal colon mucosa. Statistically significant differences in FHIT protein expression were observed between the active and remittent phases of UC, between the active phase of UC and normal colon mucosa, as well as between the remittent phase of UC and normal colon mucosa, and between CD and normal colon mucosa. CONCLUSION： Our results show that FHIT protein expression is completely absent or reduced in IBD, suggesting that the FHIT gene might be associated with the oncogenesis and progression of IBD, an early event from inflammatory conditions to carcinoma in IBD.

Coalbed methane is an unconventional gas resource and its special storage andmigration laws need a series of evaluations and predictions. By analyzing the flowingcharacteristics of coalbed methane reservoir and using the known results for the dynamic predictionof natural gas reservoir, a three-dimensional mathematical model for the two-phase flow in coalbedmethane reservoir was established. In this model the Langmuir isothermal adsorption law, the firstFick law and the second Fick law were applied to consider the absorption and diffusion of coalbedmethane. The governing equations were discrctized in a finite-difference form, and a full-implicitsimulator (CBM- GW3D) for three-dimensional two-phase flow was developed. The field data of coalbedmethane wells located at Liupanshui, Guizhou was used to verify the reliability of this model. Thispaper also presented the result of the sensitivity analysis for some factors. And this result provedthe reliability and validity of this model.

Solid-state sources of single-photon emitters are highly desired for scalable quantum photonic applications, such as quantum communication, optical quantum information processing, and metrology. In the past year, great strides have been made in the characterization of single defects in wide-bandgap materials, such as silicon carbide and diamond, as well as single molecules, quantum dots, and carbon nanotubes. More recently, single-photon emitters in layered van der Waals materials attracted tremendous attention, because the two-dimensional(2 D)lattice allows for high photon extraction efficiency and easy integration into photonic circuits. In this review, we discuss recent advances in mastering single-photon emitters in 2 D materials, electrical generation pathways,detuning, and resonator coupling towards use as quantum light sources. Finally, we discuss the remaining challenges and the outlooks for layered material-based quantum photonic sources.

Mammalian testis exhibits remarkably high transcriptome complexity,and spermatogenesis undergoes two periods of transcriptional *** make the RNA-binding proteins(RBPs)the utmost importance during male germ cell *** nuclear ribonucleoproteins(hnRNPs)are a large family of RBPs implicated in many steps of RNA processing;however,their roles in spermatogenesis are largely ***,we investigated the expression pattern of 12 hnRNP family members in mouse testes and found that most detected members are highly expressed in the ***,we found that most of the detected hnRNP proteins(hnRNPD,hnRNPK,hnRNPQ,hnRNPU,and hnRNPUL1)display the highest signals in the nuclei of pachytene spermatocytes,round spermatids,and Sertoli cells,whereas hnRNPE1 exclusively concentrates in the manchette of elongating *** expression of these hnRNP proteins showed both similarities and specificity,suggesting their diverse roles in spermatogenesis.
