Anti-inflammatory effects of acupuncture in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Numerous randomised controlled trials have suggested the positive effects of acupuncture on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).However,the underlying therapeutic mechanisms of acupuncture for COPD have not been clearly summarized *** is central to the development of *** this review,we elucidate the effects and underlying mechanisms of acupuncture from an antiinflammatory perspective based on animal *** smoke combined with lipopolysaccharide is often used to establish animal models of *** can be an effective intervention to improve inflammation in COPD,and Feishu(BL13)and Zusanli(ST36)can be used as basic acupoints in COPD animal *** acupuncture types can regulate different types of inflammatory cytokines;meanwhile,different acupuncture types and acupoint options have similar effects on modulating the level of inflammatory *** particular,acupuncture exerts anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the release of inflammatory cells,inflammasomes and inflammatory *** main underlying mechanism through which acupuncture improves inflammation in COPD is the modulation of relevant signalling pathways:nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)(e.g.,myeloid differentiation primary response 88/NF-κB,toll-like receptor-4/NF-κB,silent information regulator transcript-1/NF-κB),mitogen-activated protein kinase signalling pathways(extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2,p38 and c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase),cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway,and dopamine D2 receptor *** current synthesis will be beneficial for further research on the effect of acupuncture on COPD inflammation.

Promoted hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol over single-atom Cu sites with Na+-decorated microenvironment

Although single-atom Cu sites exhibit high efficiency in CO2hydrogenation to methanol,they are prone to forming Cu nanoparticles due to reduction and aggregation under reaction conditions,especially at high ***,single-atom Cu sites stabilized by adjacent Na+ions have been successfully constructed within a metal-organic framework（MOF）-based catalyst,namely *** is found that the electrostatic interaction between the Na+and Hδ-species plays a pivotal role in upholding the atomic dispersion of Cu in MOF-808-NaCu during CO2hydrogenation,even at temperatures of up to 275℃.This exceptional stabilization effect endows the catalyst with excellent activity(306 g·kgcat-1·h-1),high selectivity to methanol（93%） and long-term stability at elevated reaction temperatures,far surpassing the counterpart in the absence of Na+（denoted as MOF-808-Cu）.This work develops an effective strategy for the fabrication of stable single-atom sites for advanced catalysis by creating an alkali-decorated microenvironment in close proximity.

CAEFusion: A New Convolutional Autoencoder-Based Infrared and Visible Light Image Fusion Algorithm

To address the issues of incomplete information,blurred details,loss of details,and insufficient contrast in infrared and visible image fusion,an image fusion algorithm based on a convolutional autoencoder is *** region attention module is meant to extract the background feature map based on the distinct properties of the background feature map and the detail feature map.A multi-scale convolution attention module is suggested to enhance the communication of feature *** the same time,the feature transformation module is introduced to learn more robust feature representations,aiming to preserve the integrity of image *** study uses three available datasets from TNO,FLIR,and NIR to perform thorough quantitative and qualitative trials with five additional *** methods are assessed based on four indicators:information entropy(EN),standard deviation(SD),spatial frequency(SF),and average gradient(AG).Object detection experiments were done on the M3FD dataset to further verify the algorithm’s performance in comparison with five other *** algorithm’s accuracy was evaluated using the mean average precision at a threshold of 0.5(mAP@0.5)*** experimental findings show that CAEFusion performs well in subjective visual and objective evaluation criteria and has promising potential in downstream object detection tasks.

Analysis of the role of dihydromyricetin derived from vine tea(Ampelopsis grossedentata)on multiple myeloma by activating STAT1/RIG-I axis

Multiple myeloma(MM)is a plasma cell malignancy and remains incurable as it lacks effective curative approaches;thus,novel therapeutic strategies are desperately *** study aimed to explore the therapeutic role of dihydromyricetin(DHM)in MM and explore its *** MM and normal plasma samples,human MM cell lines,and normal plasma cells were used for in vitro *** counting kit-8(CCK-8),flow cytometry,and trans-well assays were performed for the assessment of cell viability,apoptosis,migration,and invasion,*** real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)was employed to assess the mRNA expression of signal transducer and activator of transcription 1(STAT1)and retinoic acid-inducible gene I(RIG-I).Western blotting was employed to assess E-cadherin,N-cadherin,signal transducer,STAT1,p-STAT1,and RIG-I protein expression.A tumor xenograft model was used for in vivo ***,dihydromyricetin(DHM)dose-dependently restrained viability,apoptosis,migration,and invasion,and facilitated apoptosis of U266 *** DHM treatment,the Ecadherin level was increased and the N-cadherin level was decreased in U266 and RPMI-8226 cells,suggesting the inhibitory effects of DHM on epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)in ***,the levels of p-STAT1/STAT1 and RIG-I were down-regulated in ***,the STAT1 inhibitor fludarabine undid the suppressive effect of DMH on the malignant characteristics of U266 ***,DHM inhibited MM tumor growth and EMT,and activated STAT1/RIG-I pathway in ***,this study first revealed that DHM can restrain EMT and tumor growth in MM by activating STAT1/RIG-I signaling,which provides a novel drug for the treatment of MM.

Optimal AP Deployment in Cell-Free Massive MIMO Systems with LoS/NLoS Transmissions:A Stochastic Geometry Approach

Cell-free massive multiple-input multipleoutput(MIMO)is a promising technology for future wireless communications,where a large number of distributed access points(APs)simultaneously serve all users over the same time-frequency *** users and APs may locate close to each other,the line-of-sight(Lo S)transmission occurs more frequently in cell-free massive MIMO ***,in this paper,we investigate the cell-free massive MIMO system with Lo S and non-line-of-sight(NLo S)transmissions,where APs and users are both distributed according to Poisson point *** tools from stochastic geometry,we derive a tight lower bound for the user downlink achievable rate and we further obtain the energy efficiency(EE)by considering the power consumption on downlink payload transmissions and circuitry *** on the analysis,the optimal AP density and AP antenna number that maximize the EE are *** is found that compared with the previous work that only considers NLo S transmissions,the actual optimal AP density should be much smaller,and the maximized EE is actually much higher.

An overview and perspective of identifying lunar craters

The spatiotemporal evolution of lunar impact craters is crucial for investigating lunar interior structure,internal and external dynamic processes,and interplanetary impact *** in lunar crater identification are reviewed based on topography and gravity data,and the features and mechanisms of topographic or buried craters are analyzed regarding morphology,gravity anomalies,gravity gradients,and the underlying crust-mantle interface *** on the compiled crater catalog,the early lunar impact flux and thermal evolution are further discussed according to the basin ages and their interior *** some ancient impact basins,the crater size-frequency distribution measurements revealed age discrepancies from previous studies,suggesting that the lunar late heavy bombardment event started at~3.95 *** degraded bulge structures of the crust-mantle interface beneath mare basins reveal that these basins formed on the lunar crust surface under high-temperature conditions and underwent prolonged relaxation compared to highland ***,we reveal that the up-to-date identification of lunar buried craters remains inaccurate and incomplete,preventing us from accurately reconstructing lunar and interplanetary impact ***,we propose that a gravity model constructed using localized orthogonal basis functions can be useful for identifying lunar craters.

We construct new black-to-white hole solutions which connect the geometry of spacetime at some gluing surface inside the *** continuity of the metric can be guaranteed up to the arbitrary order which is controlled by the power factor *** sort of black-to-white holes is characterized by the sub-Planckian scalar curvature,independent of the mass of black-to-white *** importantly,we show that the energy condition is only violated within a small region near the gluing *** geodesics of particles within the region from black hole to white hole is also *** turns out that the matter falling into the black hole may pass through the center without singularity and come out from the white *** scenario provides novel ideas for understanding the information loss paradox in traditional black hole physics.

Online Pareto optimal control of mean-field stochastic multi-player systems using policy iteration

In this study, the Pareto optimal strategy problem was investigated for multi-player mean-field stochastic systems governed by It? differential equations using the reinforcement learning(RL) method.A partially model-free solution for Pareto-optimal control was derived. First, by applying the convexity of cost functions, the Pareto optimal control problem was solved using a weighted-sum optimal control problem. Subsequently, using on-policy RL, we present a novel policy iteration(PI) algorithm based on the Hrepresentation technique. In particular, by alternating between the policy evaluation and policy update steps,the Pareto optimal control policy is obtained when no further improvement occurs in system performance,which eliminates directly solving complicated cross-coupled generalized algebraic Riccati equations(GAREs).Practical numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Multiscale Characteristics and Connection Mechanisms of Attraction Networks:A Trajectory Data Mining Approach Leveraging Geotagged Data

Urban tourism is considered a complex system,and multiscale exploration of the organizational patterns of attraction networks has become a topical issue in urban tourism,so exploring the multiscale characteristics and connection mechanisms of attraction networks is important for understanding the linkages between attractions and even the future destination *** paper uses geotagging data to compare the links between attractions in Beijing,China during four different periods:the pre-Olympic period(2004–2007),the Olympic Games and subsequent‘heat period’(2008–2013),the post-Olympic period(2014–2019),and the COVID-19(Corona Virus Disease 2019)pandemic period(2020–2021).The aim is to better understand the evolution and patterns of attraction networks at different scales in Beijing and to provide insights for tourism planning in the *** results show that the macro,meso-,and microscales network characteristics of attraction networks have inherent logical relationships that can explain the commonalities and differences in the development process of tourism *** macroscale attraction network degree Matthew effect is significant in the four different periods and exhibits a morphological monocentric structure,suggesting that new entrants are more likely to be associated with attractions that already have high *** mesoscale links attractions according to the common purpose of tourists,and the results of the community segmentation of the attraction networks in the four different periods suggest that the functional polycentric structure describes their clustering effect,and the weak links between clusters result from attractions bound by incomplete information and distance,and the functional polycentric structure with a generally more efficient network of *** pattern structure at the microscale reveals the topological transformation relationship of the regional collaboration pattern,and the attraction network structure in the four diff

Natural convection in nanofluid enclosure under magnetic field:Entropy generation and economic analysis

This study investigates the unsteady natural convection and entropy generation under the effects of magnetic field and baffles inside a nanofluid filled E-shaped *** nanofluid flow is driven by time-varying sidewall temperature and is partitioned by *** factors are discussed,including the enclosure aspect ratio(0.2≤AR≤0.7),nanofluid volume fractions(0≤φ≤0.1),Hartmann numbers(0≤Ha≤80),frequency of time-varying side wall temperature(0.01≤ω≤0.1),baffle locations(0≤d≤0.4)and length(0≤l≤0.4).An economic analysis is conducted to show the nanofluid cost of enhancing thermal transfer and reducing entropy *** modelling results show that increasing aspect ratio and nanofluid volume fraction enhance the thermal transfer behavior,while the magnetic field suppresses the nanofluid natural *** entropy generation monotonically decreases with the increasing nanofluid volume fraction and Hartmann *** baffles into horizontal walls can boost the thermal transfer behavior and decrease the total entropy generation.
