Preoperative blood markers and intra-abdominal infection after colorectal cancer resection

Coherent optical emission of free induction decay (FiD) excited by the multiple-photon resonance has been recently observed in nitrogen ions produced by intense femtosecond laser *** we report that orbit angular momentum (OAM) of the pump laser pulses can be transferred to the much longer pulsed free induction decay emission with the OAM *** was found that when the pump laser frequency approaches the fraction of the 391.4 nm emission (ν_(0)/5),an FiD emission is emitted whereas its topological charge was identified to be 5 times of the pump *** to the reduced laser intensity with a vortex pump compared to the conventional Gaussian beam,the resonant pump laser wavelength presents a redshift,and the FiD signal is significantly weaker.

BACKGROUND Pulmonary fibrosis(PF)is a chronic interstitial lung disease characterized by fibroblast proliferation and extracellular matrix formation,causing structural damage and lung *** cell therapy and mesenchymal stem cells-extracellular vesicles(MSC-EVs)offer new hope for PF *** To investigate the therapeutic potential of MSC-EVs in alleviating fibrosis,oxidative stress,and immune inflammation in A549 cells and bleomycin(BLM)-induced mouse *** The effect of MSC-EVs on A549 cells was assessed by fibrosis markers[collagen i andα-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA),oxidative stress regulators[nuclear factor E2-related factor 2(Nrf2)and heme oxygenase-1(HO-1),and inflammatory regu-lators[nuclear factor-kappaB(NF-κB)p65,interleukin(iL)-1β,and iL-2].Similarly,they were assessed in the lungs of mice where PF was induced by BLM after MSC-EV ***-EVs ion PF mice were detected by pathological staining and western ***-cell RNA sequencing was performed to investigate the effects of the MSC-EVs on gene expression profiles of macrophages after modeling in *** Transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1 enhanced fibrosis in A549 cells,significantly increasing collagen i andα-SMA ***,treatment with MSC-EVs demonstrated a remarkable alleviation of these ***,the expression of oxidative stress regulators,such as Nrf2 and HO-1,along with inflammatory regulators,including NF-κB p65 and iL-1β,were mitigated by MSC-EV ***,in a parallel manner,MSC-EVs exhibited a downregulatory impact on collagen deposition,oxidative stress injuries,and inflammatory-related cytokines in the lungs of mice with ***,the mRNA sequencing results suggested that BLM may induce PF in mice by upregulating pulmonary collagen fiber deposition and triggering an immune inflammatory *** findings collectively highlight the potential therapeutic efficacy of MSC-EVs in ameliorating fibrotic processes,oxidative stres

Transdermal treatment for malignant melanoma by aptamer-modified tetrahedral framework nucleic acid delivery of vemurafenib

Melanoma is one of the most malignant skin tumors, whose high invasion is generally associated with BRAF gene mutation. Although new chemotherapeutic drugs, such as vemurafenib, have been developed to inhibit the growth of melanoma, these drugs are usually administered intravenously or orally, resulting in toxic side effects on major tissues and organs. Tetrahedral framework nucleic acids(tFNAs) are a novel type of DNA nanostructures with excellent biocompatibility and versatility which have been proven to penetrate through skin barrier with ease. in this study, we prepared t FNAs with vemurafenib and connected DNA aptamer AS1411 at the apex of t FNAs(AS1411-tFNAs/vemurafenib). On one hand, AS1411-tFNAs/vemurafenib could kill melanoma cells by blocking the mutated BRAF gene in vitro. Compared with free vemurafenib, AS1411-tFNAs/vemurafenib had no obvious toxicity to normal cells. On the other hand,AS1411-tFNAs could transfer vemurafenib to cross through the skin barrier and permeate into tumor tissues. in vivo, transdermal delivery of AS1411-t FNAs/vemurafenib could inhibit the growth of human A375melanoma, whose inhibiting effect was stronger than intravenous administration of vemurafenib. These results demonstrated the application prospects of tFNAs combined with chemotherapeutic drugs in skin tumors.
