Hydrocarbon expulsion occurs only when pore fluid pressure due to hydrocarbon generation in source rock exceeds the force against migration in the adjacent carrier *** the Middle-Upper Ordovician carbonate source rock of Tarim Basin in China as an example,this paper proposes a method that identifies effective carbonate source rock based on the principles of mass *** from the Well YW2 indicate that the Middle Ordovician Yijianfang Formation contains effective carbonate source rocks with low present-day *** and geochemical analysis suggests that the hydrocarbons in the carbonate interval are likely self-generated and *** steranes from GC-MS analysis of oil extracts in this interval display similar features to those of the crude oil samples in Tabei area,indicating that the crude oil probably was migrated from the effective source *** applying to other wells in the basin,the identified effective carbonate source rocks and non-source rock carbonates can be effectively identified and consistent with the actual exploration results,validating the *** the contribution from the identified effective source rocks with low present-day TOC(TOC_(pd))is considered,the long-standing puzzle between the proved 3 P oil reserves and estimated resources in the basin can be reasonably explained.

On the Riemann–Hilbert problem for the reverse space-time nonlocal Hirota equation with step-like initial data

In this paper, we use the Riemann–Hilbert(RH) method to investigate the Cauchy problem of the reverse space-time nonlocal Hirota equation with step-like initial data: q(z, 0) = o(1) as z →-∞ and q(z, 0) = δ + o(1) as z → ∞, where δ is an arbitrary positive constant. We show that the solution of the Cauchy problem can be determined by the solution of the corresponding matrix RH problem established on the plane of complex spectral parameter λ. As an example, we construct an exact solution of the reverse space-time nonlocal Hirota equation in a special case via this RH problem.

Global interest in lithium-sulfur batteries as one of the most promising energy storage technologies has been sparked by their low sulfur cathode cost,high gravimetric,volumetric energy densities,abundant resources,and environmental ***,their practical application is significantly impeded by several serious issues that arise at the cathode-electrolyte interface,such as interface structure degradation including the uneven deposition of Li_(2)S,unstable cathode-electrolyte interphase(CEI)layer and intermediate polysulfide shuttle ***,an optimized cathode-electrolyte interface along with optimized electrodes is required for overall ***,we comprehensively outline the challenges and corresponding strategies,including electrolyte optimization to create a dense CEI layer,regulating the Li_(2)S deposition pattern,and inhibiting the shuttle effect with regard to the solid-liquid-solid pathway,the transformation from solid-liquid-solid to solid-solid pathway,and solid-solid pathway at the cathode-electrolyte *** order to spur more perceptive research and hasten the widespread use of lithium-sulfur batteries,viewpoints on designing a stable interface with a deep comprehension are also put forth.

AIM:To analyze whether alterations of voxel mirror homology connectivity(VMHC)values,as determined by resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rsfMRI),occur in cerebral regions of patients with hypertensive retinopathy(HR)and to determine the relationship between VMHC values and clinical characteristics in patients with ***:Twenty-one patients with HR and 21 agematched healthy controls(HCs)were assessed by rsfMRI *** functional connectivity between the hemispheres of the cerebrum was assessed by measuring VMHC,with the ability of VMHC to distinguish between the HR and HC groups assessed using receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve *** in the demographic and clinical characteristics of the HR and HC groups were analyzed by independent sample *** relationship between average VMHC in several brain areas of HR patients and clinical features was determined using Pearson correlation ***:Mean VMHC values of the bilateral cuneus gyrus(BA19),bilateral middle orbitofrontal gyrus(BA47),bilateral middle temporal gyrus(BA39)and bilateral superior medial frontal gyrus(BA9)were lower in the HR than in the HC ***:VMHC values can predict the development of early HR,prevent the transformation of hypertensive microangiopathy,and provide useful information explaining the changes in neural mechanism associated with HR.

AIM:To assess the possibility of using different large language models(LLMs)in ocular surface diseases by selecting five different LLMS to test their accuracy in answering specialized questions related to ocular surface diseases:ChatGPT-4,ChatGPT-3.5,Claude 2,PaLM2,and ***:A group of experienced ophthalmology professors were asked to develop a 100-question singlechoice question on ocular surface diseases designed to assess the performance of LLMs and human participants in answering ophthalmology specialty exam *** exam includes questions on the following topics:keratitis disease(20 questions),keratoconus,keratomalaciac,corneal dystrophy,corneal degeneration,erosive corneal ulcers,and corneal lesions associated with systemic diseases(20 questions),conjunctivitis disease(20 questions),trachoma,pterygoid and conjunctival tumor diseases(20 questions),and dry eye disease(20 questions).Then the total score of each LLMs and compared their mean score,mean correlation,variance,and confidence were ***:GPT-4 exhibited the highest performance in terms of *** the average scores of the LLMs group with the four human groups,chief physician,attending physician,regular trainee,and graduate student,it was found that except for ChatGPT-4,the total score of the rest of the LLMs is lower than that of the graduate student group,which had the lowest score in the human *** ChatGPT-4 and PaLM2 were more likely to give exact and correct answers,giving very little chance of an incorrect ***-4 showed higher credibility when answering questions,with a success rate of 59%,but gave the wrong answer to the question 28% of the ***:GPT-4 model exhibits excellent performance in both answer relevance and ***2 shows a positive correlation(up to 0.8)in terms of answer accuracy during the *** terms of answer confidence,PaLM2 is second only to GPT4 and surpasses Claude 2,SenseNova,and *** the fact t

The comprehensive assessment of epigenetics changes during skin development

Epigenetic regulation is critical to multiple physiological and pathological processes. However, little is known regarding the epigenetic changes during neonatal skin development and skin aging, and in response to ultraviolet (UV) exposure. The transcriptomes of human skin samples from different ages or irradiated with different types and doses of UV light were analyzed using R (version 4.0.3) software. The epigenetic landscape of the skin, including histone modifications, genetic imprinting and m6A modification, which are mainly involved in collagen formation, extracellular matrix organization, immune function and keratinization, underwent significant changes during neonatal to adult development. Epigenetic effectors such as IGF2BP2, GATA2, GATA3, CPA4 and CDK1 were significantly correlated with extracellular matrix organization, and VEGFA, CDK1 and PRKCB with skin immune function. The m6A readers such as IGF2BP2, IGF2BP3, HNRNPA2B1 and EIF3G showed significant correlation with extracellular matrix organization, metabolism, or antigen processing and presentation. Small doses of UV exposure only induced changes in the expression levels of some epigenetic effectors, without any significant effect on the overall epigenetic landscape. However, the minimal erythema dose of UV exposure altered multiple epigenetic effectors regulating extracellular matrix organization, cell-matrix adhesion, innate immune response, mitochondrial function and mRNA processing. In addition, epigenetic changes following UV exposure were more pronounced in the elderly skin compared to the younger skin. In conclusion, histone modifications, genetic imprinting and m6A modification play critical roles during skin development, and a large dose of UV exposure can significantly change the expression of multiple epigenetic effectors. © 2022
