Spectrum projection with a bandgap-gradient perovskite cell for colour perception

Optoelectronic devices for light or spectral signal detection are desired for use in a wide range of applications,including sensing,imaging,optical communications,and in situ ***,existing photodetectors indicate only light intensities,whereas multiphotosensor spectrometers require at least a chip-level assembly and can generate redundant signals for applications that do not need detailed spectral *** by human visual and psychological light perceptions,the compression of spectral information into representative intensities and colours may simplify spectrum processing at the device ***,we propose a concept of spectrum projection using a bandgap-gradient semiconductor cell for intensity and colour ***-gradient perovskites,prepared by a halide-exchanging method via dipping in a solution,are developed as the photoactive layer of the *** fabricated cell produces two output signals:one shows linear responses to both photon energy and flux,while the other depends on only photon ***,by combining the two signals,the single device can project the monochromatic and broadband spectra into the total photon fluxes and average photon energies(i.e.,intensities and hues),which are in good agreement with those obtained from a commercial photodetector and *** changing illumination in real time,the prepared device can instantaneously provide intensity and hue *** addition,the flexibility and chemical/bio-sensing of the device via colour comparison are ***,this work shows a human visual-like method of spectrum projection and colour perception based on a single device,providing a paradigm for high-efficiency spectrum-processing applications.

Energy-efficiency maximization for fixed-wing UAV-enabled relay network with circular trajectory

With the development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs), the applications of UAVs have been extensively explored. In the field of wireless communications, the relay nodes are often used to extend network coverage. However, traditional fixed ground relays cannot be flexibly deployed due to their low heights and fixed locations. Hence, deploying UAV as relay node is a promising solution and has become a research hotspot. In this paper, we consider an UAVenabled relaying network in which a fixed-wing UAV is deployed between the Base Station(BS)and Ground Users(GUs). We study the energy-efficiency gap between the link “BS-UAV-GUs”and the link “BS-GUs”, and jointly optimize UAV relay transmission power and flight radius to achieve the highest energy-efficiency. Firstly, the UAV/BS-GUs channels models and the UAV energy consumption model are built. Secondly, the optimization objective function is formulated to maximize the energy-efficiency gap. Then, the solution of the optimization problem is divided into a two-step iteration process, in which the UAV relay transmission power and flight radius are adjusted to maximize the energy-efficiency gap. Finally, the experimental results under different simulation scenarios(such as cities, forests, deserts, oceans, etc.) are shown to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The results show that the proposed algorithm can always find the optimal UAV relay transmission power and flight radius settings, and achieve the largest energy-efficiency gap. The convergency speed of the proposed algorithm is fast, and can obtain the optimal solution within only a few iterations.

Image Classification with Superpixels and Feature Fusion Method

This paper presents an effective image classification algorithm based on superpixels and feature *** from classical image classification algorithms that extract feature descriptors directly from the original image,the proposed method first segments the input image into superpixels and,then,several different types of features are calculated according to these *** increase classification accuracy,the dimensions of these features are reduced using the principal component analysis(PCA)algorithm followed by a weighted serial feature fusion *** constructing a coding dictionary using the nonnegative matrix factorization(NMF)algorithm,the input image is recognized by a support vector machine(SVM)*** effectiveness of the proposed method was tested on the public Scene-15,Caltech-101,and Caltech-256 datasets,and the experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can effectively improve image classification accuracy.

Hydrogel scaffolds have numerous potential applications in the tissue engineering ***,tough hydrogel scaffolds implanted in vivo are seldom reported because it is difficult to balance biocompatibility and high mechanical *** by Chinese ramen,we propose a universal fabricating method(printing-P,training-T,cross-linking-C,PTC&PCT)for tough hydrogel scaffolds to fill this ***,3D printing fabricates a hydrogel scaffold with desired structures(P).Then,the scaffold could have extraordinarily high mechanical properties and functional surface structure by cycle mechanical training with salting-out assistance(T).Finally,the training results are fixed by photo-cross-linking processing(C).The tough gelatin hydrogel scaffolds exhibit excellent tensile strength of 6.66 MPa(622-fold untreated)and have excellent ***,this scaffold possesses functional surface structures from nanometer to micron to millimeter,which can efficiently induce directional cell ***,this strategy can produce bionic human tissue with mechanical properties of 10 kPa-10 MPa by changing the type of salt,and many hydrogels,such as gelatin and silk,could be improved with PTC or PCT *** experiments show that this scaffold can effectively promote the new generation of muscle fibers,blood vessels,and nerves within 4 weeks,prompting the rapid regeneration of large-volume muscle loss injuries.

Gaseous compounds are usually on-line detectable on sensors. The limitations of conventional sensors are suffering from incapability for exactly identifying multiple components as well as incompatibility to possible toxicants in every odor sample. Herein, we discuss an inlet modification to the laboratory standard mass spectrometer, inspired by the sensitive olfactory systems of animals, for direct sniffing,established by connecting a mini pump to the nebulizer gas tubing. The modified mass spectrometry method—sniffing-mass spectrometry(sniffing-MS)—can acquire detailed fingerprint spectra of mixed odors and shows high tolerance to toxicants. Furthermore, the method has a low limit of detection in the order of parts per trillion and is a ‘sampling-free' technique for analyzing various gaseous compounds simultaneously, thus offering versatility for smelling daily commodities, tracking diffusion, and locating position of odors. Sniffing-MS can mimic or even surpass the olfaction of animals and is applicable for analyzing gaseous/volatile compounds, especially those polar compounds, in a simple manner depending on the intrinsic molecular mass-to-charge ratio.

Quantum Mechanical Analysis of Sodium Alginate Effects on the Konjac Glucomannan Stability

Konjac glucomannan （KGM） and sodium alginate were chosen as the research objects, and the hydrogen bond conformation of compound system was studied with the molecular dynamics simulation, which simulated the energy variety in composite process. Combining with Hamiltonian in quantum mechanics calculation, the mechanism of hydrogen bond in KGM and sodium alginate compound system stability was analyzed from a micro angle. The results showed that, the hydrogen bonds occurring between the molecule of KGM and sodium alginate are in large number, and they mainly appeared between the -OH on C（6）, C（3） in the mannose residues of KGM and C（2）, C（3） of sodium alginate. The formation of hydrogen bonds results in the energy expectation value of the Hamiltonian thermal density matrix of the compound system to be negative, the energy of the system to decrease, and the compounds tending to form stable conformations.
