The fruits of Amomum tsao-ko(Cao-Guo)were documented in Chinese Pharmacopoeia for the treatment of abdominal pain,vomiting,and plague.In our previous study,a series of diarylheptanes and flavonoids withα-glucosidase and protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B(PTP1B)inhibitory activity have been reported from the middle-polarity part of A.tsao-ko,whereas the antidiabetic potency of the low-polarity constituents is still unclear.In this study,three new hydroxytetradecenals,(2E,4E,8Z,11Z)-6R-hydroxytetradeca-2,4,8,11-tetraenal(1),(2E,4E,8Z)-6R-hydroxytetradeca-2,4,8-trienal(2)and(2E,4E)-6R-hydroxytetradeca-2,4-dienal(3)were obtained from the volatile oils of A.tsao-ko.The structures of compounds 1–3 were determined using spectroscopic data involving 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),high-resolution mass spectra(HRMS),and specific rotation([α]D).Their hypoglycemic activity was evaluated against glycogen phosphorylase(GPa)and PTP1B.Compounds 1 and 2 displayed moderate activity against PTP1B with inhibition rates of 33.8%−50.3%at 100 and 200μM.Moreover,compound 1 exhibited an obvious inhibitory effect on GPa(IC50=31.7μM),whereas compound 2 was inactive.This study demonstrates hydroxytetradecenals as the characteristic components of A.tsao-ko with therapeutic potential in diabetes.

Skeletal stem/progenitor cell(SSPC)senescence is a major cause of decreased bone regenerative potential with aging,but the causes of SSPC senescence remain unclear.In this study,we revealed that macrophages in calluses secrete prosenescent factors,including grancalcin(GCA),during aging,which triggers SSPC senescence and impairs fracture healing.Local injection of human rGCA in young mice induced SSPC senescence and delayed fracture repair.Genetic deletion of Gca in monocytes/macrophages was sufficient to rejuvenate fracture repair in aged mice and alleviate SSPC senescence.Mechanistically,GCA binds to the plexin-B2 receptor and activates Arg2-mediated mitochondrial dysfunction,resulting in cellular senescence.Depletion of Plxnb2 in SSPCs impaired fracture healing.Administration of GCA-neutralizing antibody enhanced fracture healing in aged mice.Thus,our study revealed that senescent macrophages within calluses secrete GCA to trigger SSPC secondary senescence,and GCA neutralization represents a promising therapy for nonunion or delayed union in elderly individuals.

Lower back pain(LBP)has a relatively high incidence across various age groups,characterized by discomfort in the lumbosacral and iliosacral regions above the gluteal striatum and within the region below the costal margins.Some patients also experience varying degrees of leg pain,with many experiencing prolonged and recurrent symptoms.International consensus confirms that exercise intervention is an effective treatment method for lower back pain,offering safe and efficient physical therapy.Extensive practical experience suggests that Pilates exercises can effectively regulate the strength of muscle tissue in the peripheral region of the spine,improve muscle endurance,and alleviate low back pain caused by muscular factors.This study analyzes the effects of exercise intervention on the function and pain of patients with lower back pain.It explores various exercise modalities,utilizes SPSS26 statistics to gather data,and draws conclusions with the aim of providing theoretical references for exercise interventions in patients with lower back pain.

Background The co-occurrence of depression and anxiety among adolescents is typically associated with suicide ideation.Aims The study aimed to investigate the symptom-level relationship between suicide ideation and the comorbidity of depression and anxiety.Methods 1501 adolescents aged 12-19 years were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire(PHQ-9)and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale,and 716 adolescents who scored≥5 on both scales were selected as participants.Network analysis was used to identify the network structure of depressive symptoms and anxiety symptoms.Participants were categorised into either the suicide ideation or non-suicide ideation groups based on their scoring on the suicide-related item in PHQ-9.A comparison was made between the depression-anxiety symptom networks of the two groups.Results‘Restlessness’,‘sad mood’and‘trouble relaxing’were the most prominent central symptoms in the depression-anxiety symptom network,and‘restlessness’,‘nervousness’and‘reduced movement’were the bridge symptoms in this network.‘Sad mood’was found to be directly related to‘suicide ideation’with the highest variance.The network structure was significantly different in properties between the suicide ideation group and the non-suicide ideation group,with‘restlessness’and‘sad mood’exhibiting significantly higher influence in the network of the suicide ideation group than that in the non-suicide ideation group.Conclusion Restlessness and sad mood could be targeted for the intervention of depression-anxiety symptoms among adolescents with suicide ideation.

The pulsar timing array(PTA)collaborations have recently reported compelling evidence for a stochastic signal consistent with a gravitational-wave background.In this paper,we combine the latest data sets from NANOGrav,PPTA,and EPTA to explore cosmological interpretations for the PTA signal from first-order phase transitions,domain walls,and cosmic strings,respectively.We find that the domain wall model is strongly disfavored with the Bayes factors compared with the first-order phase transitions and cosmic strings being 1/90 and 1/189,respectively,breaking the degeneracy among these models in individual data set.We also find that:(1)a strong phase transition at temperatures below the electroweak scale is favored,and the bubble collisions make the dominant contribution to the energy density spectrum;(2)a small reconnection probability p<1.55×10^(-1)allowed by strings in(super)string theory is favored at the 95%confidence level,and ground-based detectors can further constrain the parameter space.

Feature Matching via Topology-Aware Graph Interaction Model

Feature matching plays a key role in computer vision. However, due to the limitations of the descriptors, the putative matches are inevitably contaminated by massive outliers.This paper attempts to tackle the outlier filtering problem from two aspects. First, a robust and efficient graph interaction model,is proposed, with the assumption that matches are correlated with each other rather than independently distributed. To this end, we construct a graph based on the local relationships of matches and formulate the outlier filtering task as a binary labeling energy minimization problem, where the pairwise term encodes the interaction between matches. We further show that this formulation can be solved globally by graph cut algorithm. Our new formulation always improves the performance of previous localitybased method without noticeable deterioration in processing time,adding a few milliseconds. Second, to construct a better graph structure, a robust and geometrically meaningful topology-aware relationship is developed to capture the topology relationship between matches. The two components in sum lead to topology interaction matching(TIM), an effective and efficient method for outlier filtering. Extensive experiments on several large and diverse datasets for multiple vision tasks including general feature matching, as well as relative pose estimation, homography and fundamental matrix estimation, loop-closure detection, and multi-modal image matching, demonstrate that our TIM is more competitive than current state-of-the-art methods, in terms of generality, efficiency, and effectiveness. BACKGROUND The relation between orthodontic treatment and temporomandibular disorders(TMDs)is under debate;the management of TMD during orthodontic treatment has always been a challenge.If TMD symptoms occur during orthodontic treatment,an immediate pause of orthodontic adjustments is recommended;the treatment can resume when the symptoms are managed and stabilized.CASE SUMMARY This case report presents a patient(26-year-old,female)with angle class I,skeletal class II and TMDs.The treatment was a hybrid of clear aligners,fixed appliances and temporary anchorage devices(TADs).After 3 mo resting and treatment on her TMD,the patient’s TMD symptom alleviated,but her anterior occlusion displayed deep overbite.Therefore,the fixed appliances with TAD were used to correct the anterior deep-bite and level maxillary and mandibular deep curves.After the levelling,the patient showed dual bite with centric relation and maximum intercuspation discrepancy on her occlusion.After careful examination of temporomandibular joints(TMJ)position,the stable bite splint and Invisible Mandibular Advancement appliance were used to reconstruct her occlusion.Eventually,the improved facial appearance and relatively stable occlusion were achieved.The 1-year follow-up records showed there was no obvious change in TMJ morphology,and her occlusion was stable.CONCLUSION TMD screening and monitoring is of great clinical importance in the TMD susceptible patients.Hybrid treatment with clear aligners and fixed appliances and TADs is an effective treatment modality for the complex cases.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of manual acupuncture on endometrial blood flow parameters by three-dimensional(3D) power Doppler ultrasound in women undergoing in vitro fertilization embryo transfer(IVF-ET). Methods: Seventy patients undergoing IVF-ET were equally randomized into traditional or sham acupuncture treatment group for totally 4 days(from the day of oocyte aspiration to the day of embryo transfer) of treatment by random envelope method at the Reproductive Medicine Center and Outpatient Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medicine College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from January 2013 to December 2015. Patients in the traditional acupuncture group accepted traditional acupuncture methods with manual acupuncture, and Zhongji(CV3), Qihai(CV 6), Sanyinjiao(SP6), Taichong(LR 3), Tianshu(ST 25), Guilai(ST 29) and Zusanli(ST 36) were chosen. Patients at the sham acupuncture group accepted shallow acupuncture methods at 4 non-meridian points at each shoulder and upper arm. Outcome measures included endometrial ultrasonic indices such as vascularization index(VI), flow index(FI) and vascularization flow index(VFI), endometrial thickness and volume, subendometrial VI(sVI), subendometrial FI(sFI), subendometrial VFI(sVFI), implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate, abortion rate, live birth rate and number of live births. Results: Finally, 34 patients in the traditional acupuncture group and 35 in the sham acupuncture group completed this trial. VI, FI and VFI of the traditional acupuncture group were significantly higher than those in the sham acupuncture group(P0.05). Conclusions: Manual acupuncture performed after oocyte aspiration and before transplantation improved the endometrial blood flow parametersVI, RI and VFI in women

TiO_(2)nanoparticles doped with different concentrations of Rb were prepared by sol–gel method.The crystal structures of samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).It was confirmed by the Rietveld refinement method that the as-prepared samples crystallize in anatase phase and Rb doping induces expansion and distortion of the crystal lattice.Compared with the pure TiO_(2),the Rb-doped nanoparticles have smaller crystal size and better dispersibility.Degradation rate of methylene blue was used to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of Rb–TiO_(2).It indicated that doping Rb into TiO_(2)can effectively improve the photocatalytic activity of TiO_(2)and the mechanisms were discussed in detail.When using the sample doped with 0.20%Rb,methylene blue degraded with the fastest rate(97%within 60 min).

NH_(3)-SCR was one of the most promising de NO_x technologies and it has been widely applied in industrial NO_x reduction.However,with the further development of energy transformation in power generation sector,the development of NH_(3)-SCR catalysts is facing some new challenges.It is becoming an urgent problem to solve low catalytic activity and stability of NH_(3)-SCR catalysts at the working condition of ultra-low temperature(≤200℃)and high concentrations of H_(2)O+SO_(2) due to the gradual deployment of new energy power plants.Furthermore,the traditional coal-fired power plants would need flexible operation with the increasing share of renewable energy generation.The NH_(3)-SCR catalysts which were applied in coal-fired power industry would be requested to work in a wide temperature window from 200℃ to 500℃ in the near future.Therefore,in this review,we summarized the progress of NH_(3)-SCR catalysts in solving these different industrial problems in recent years.And the research directions which were deserved to be focused on the development of NH_(3)-SCR catalysts for the energy transition of power generation sector are proposed.
