The energy density and lifespan of prototype li-S batteries under high sulfur loading and lean electrolyte have been mainly restricted by the incomplete interconversion between insulating S8 and *** introduction of an electrocatalyst has been preserved as an effective way to breakthrough the bottleneck of the interconversion ***,we demonstrate a novel bidirectional redox mediator,insoluble dithiobisphthalimide(DTpI),as the electrocatalyst for both S8 reduction and li2S *** to the dual-functional role of both electron/li^(+)donor and acceptor,DTpI can efficiently accelerate the redox reactions during charge/discharge and significantly alleviate the incomplete conversion of sulfur ***,the li-S batteries with DTpI deliver superior specific capacity and cycling stability in comparison with those without ***,the redox mediator is scalable for synthesis and the DTpI-based 5 A·h pouch cell delivers a specific discharge capacity of around 870 mA·h·g^(−1) at 0.1 C(1 C=1675 mA/g)without capacity fading over 80 *** bidirectional catalysis mechanism has been studied through theoretical calculation and ex-situ characterization of the cathode *** work approves the effectiveness of bidirectional organic redox mediator in the construction of practical li-S batteries.

The solving of dynamic matrix square root(DMSR)problems is frequently encountered in many scientific and engineering *** the original zeroing neural network is powerful for solving the DMSR,it cannot vanish the influence of the noise perturbations,and its constant-coefficient design scheme cannot accelerate the convergence ***,a noise-tolerate and adaptive coefficient zeroing neural network(NTACZNN)is raised to enhance the robust noise immunity performance and accelerate the conver-gence speed ***,the global convergence and robustness of the pro-posed NTACZNN are theoretically analysed under an ideal environment and noise-perturbed ***,some illustrative simulation examples are designed and performed in order to substantiate the efficacy and advantage of the NTACZNN for the DMSR problem *** with some existing ZNNs,the proposed NTACZNN possesses advanced performance in terms of noise tolerance,solution accuracy,and convergence rate.

A novel electrochemical multicomponent cascade reaction of indole-tethered alkenes with CF_(3)SO_(2)Na and n-BuaNI has been developed,which enables the rapid assembly of spiropyrrolidinyl-oxindoles in good *** experimental results and DFT calculations suggest that this reaction proceeds through the oxidation of CF_(3)SO_(2)Na,radical coupling with alkene,spirocyclization,oxidation of sulfinate,iodide substitution,and water *** strategy features mild reaction conditions,easy-to-handle reactants,and good chemical *** finding not only enriches the research contents of indole-tethered alkenes but also provides a green strategy for the construction of spiropyrrolidinyl-oxindoles compared with the existing methodologies.

It is known that different relationships exist between the strength and displacement of the stratospheric polar vortex(SpV),and the surface air temperature(SAT)patterns in Eurasia and North America,but the mechanisms behind these relationships remain unclear,especially on an interannual *** on empirical orthogonal function(EOF)analysis using NCEp reanalysis data over 1958–2018,this study attempts to ascertain the relationship between the SpV intensity and displacement over the Arctic and the SATs in the midlatitudes of the Northern *** results indicate that a strengthened SpV corresponds to an SAT increase in Eurasia and a decrease in eastern North America and *** the SpV is shifted towards Eurasia,however,a corresponding SAT increase occurs in both North America and Eurasia,with a larger increase in North America than in ***,a strengthened SpV tends to correspond to a positive North Atlantic Oscillation-like circulation in the troposphere with negative geopotential height(GH)anomalies in Greenland and eastern North American continent and positive GH anomalies to the north of 45°N in Eurasia,which corresponds to lower SATs in North America than in ***,when the SpV shifted towards Eurasia,it was accompanied by a positive pacific/North American-like pattern with a deepened Aleutian low,which corresponds to the increasing SATs in North *** tropospheric circulation changes are related to the response of tropospheric planetary wave activity to the SpV.A strengthened SpV corresponds to the weakening of tropospheric planetary wave-1 waves,which is accompanied by a negative GH in North America but a positive GH in *** the SpV shifted towards Eurasia,the tropospheric planetary wave-1(-2)waves strengthened(weakened),and the combined effects of the planetary wave-1 and wave-2 waves would cause positive GH anomalies in both Eurasia and North America.

Regulation of aluminum distribution in zeolite framework is an effective method for improving its catalytic performance for propane ***,we found that recrystallization and post-realuminization of ZSM-5 cannot only create hollow structures to enhance the diffusion ability,but also adjust the content and position of paired aluminum species in its *** characterizations results confirmed that increase of paired aluminum content and inducement of more aluminum atoms sited in the intersection cavity are beneficial to the formation of aromatic products in propane *** a result,the hollow-structured ZSM-5 zeolite with more paired aluminum(H-200-hollow)showed higher propane conversion and aromatics selectivity than other samples at the same *** catalytic performance of H-200-hollow can be further improved by ion-exchanging with a small amount of Ga(III)*** propane conversion and aromatics selectivity of Ga-200-hollow reached as high as 95%and 70%,respectively,at 540°C and 1 atm.
