Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory vascular disease driven by traditional and nontraditional risk factors.Genome-wide association combined with clonal lineage tracing and clinical trials have demonstrated that innate and adaptive immune responses can promote or quell atherosclerosis.Several signaling pathways,that are associated with the inflammatory response,have been implicated within atherosclerosis such as NLRP3 inflammasome,toll-like receptors,proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9.

Objective:To assess the quality of systematic reviews assessing the effects of traditional Chinese exercises on controlling blood indices,anthropometric indices,psychological indices,and quality of life in patients with diabetes.Methods:Systematic studies/meta-analyses of intervention with traditional Chinese exercises on diabetes mellitus were searched in the Pub Med,Web of Science,the China National Knowledge Infrastructure Databases(CNKI),Wan Fang Database,and Chinese Scientific Journal Database(VIP).Two researchers independently screened the studies and extracted the data.The methodology and quality of evidence of the included studies were assessed using A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews2(AMSTAR-2)and Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development and Evaluation(GRADE)criteria,respectively.Results:A total of 32 systematic reviews/meta-analyses were included in the present study.Of them,the methodological quality of 4 studies was graded as low,while that of the other 28 was graded as extremely low.The most common quality flaws in key items included a lack of preliminary proposals for systematic reviews,failure to explain the reasons for the inclusion criteria,failure to provide a list of excluded studies and reasons for exclusion,failure to report potential conflicts of interest,and inadequate assessment of publication bias.The quality of evidence for most of the 18 outcomes was subsequently graded as medium or low.Overall,the results of these studies indicated that Tai Chi,health qigong,and other traditional Chinese exercises lowered fasting blood glucose(FBG),2-h postprandial blood glucose(2hPBG),hemoglobin A_(1c)(HbA_(1c)),and body mass index,and relieved anxiety and depression in patients with diabetes.Conclusion:Our findings indicate that the methodological quality of systematic reviews related to traditional Chinese exercises in the diabetic population is generally low,and the quality of evidence is also relatively poor.Therefore,we suggest that the quality of systematic reviews and meta

BACKGROUND Umbilical cord(UC)mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)transplantation is a potential therapeutic intervention for atherosclerotic vascular disease.Integrin beta 3(ITGB3)promotes cell migration in several cell types.However,whether ITGBmodified MSCs can migrate to plaque sites in vivo and play an anti-atherosclerotic role remains unclear.AIM To investigate whether ITGB3-overexpressing MSCs(MSCs^(ITGB3))would exhibit improved homing efficacy in atherosclerosis.METHODS UC MSCs were isolated and expanded.Lentiviral vectors encoding ITGB3 or green fluorescent protein(GFP)as control were transfected into MSCs.Sixty male apolipoprotein E-/-mice were acquired from Beijing Vital River Lab Animal Technology Co.,Ltd and fed with a high-fat diet(HFD)for 12 wk to induce the formation of atherosclerotic lesions.These HFD-fed mice were randomly separated into three clusters.GFP-labeled MSCs(MSCs^(GFP))or MSCs^(ITGB3)were transplanted into the mice intravenously via the tail vein.Immunofluorescence staining,Oil red O staining,histological analyses,western blotting,enzymelinked immunosorbent assay,and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction were used for the analyses.RESULTS ITGB3 modified MSCs successfully differentiated into the“osteocyte”and“adipocyte”phenotypes and were characterized by positive expression(>91.3%)of CD29,CD73,and CD105 and negative expression(han MSCsGFP.ITGB3 overexpression had no effects on MSC viability,differentiation,and secretion.Immunofluorescence staining revealed that ITGB3 overexpression substantially enhanced the homing of MSCs to plaque sites.Oil red O staining and histological analyses further confirmed the therapeutic effects of MSCs^(ITGB3),significantly reducing the plaque area.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction revealed that MSC^(ITGB3)transplantation considerably decreased the inflammatory response in pathological

Background:The molecular mechanism underlying the involvement of the Transferrin receptor(TFRC)in cervical cancer remains poorly understood.This study aims to elucidate the role of TFRC in cervical cancer by analyzing data from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)and Genotype-Tissue Expression(GTEx)databases.Methods:TFRC protein expression was obtained from Human Protein Altas(HPA).All datas were collected from TCGA and GTEx.In this study,we analyzed the expression of TFRC in cervical cancer and its clinical significance.Through Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)and Gene set enrichment analyses(GSEA),investigated the related molecular pathways of TFRC.The relationship between TFRC and immune infiltration was then examined.The prognosis of different immune cell subsets was then analyzed after dividing cervical cancer patients into high and low expression of TFRC groups.Results:TFRC is highly expressed in various tumor tissues compared to control normal tissues,including cervical cancer.An increased expression of TFRC was associated with higher Tumor(T)and Node(N)stage,as well as a higher clinical stage.Kaplan–meier(KM)survival analysis investigated that higher TFRC expression patients have a poor overall survival(OS),disease specific survival(DSS)and progress free interval(PFI).Both KEGG and GSEA enriched signaling pathway by high TFRC and low TFRC groups.There was a significant negative linear correlation between TFRC expression and immune infiltration.TFRC affects the prognosis of cervical cancer patients through immune pathway.Conclusions:Cervical cancer patients with TFRC expression may have a worse prognosis.

Background:CD8 positive T lymphocytes and natural killer(NK)cells in the peripheral blood of cervical cancer patients exhibit varying sensitivities to radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Methods:A total of 50 healthy peoples and 60 cervical cancer patients were recruited.The patients with cervical cancer were separated into two groups:radiation and chemotherapy,and blood sample were collected before and after treatment.Data on the proportion of CD8 positive T lymphocytes and NK cells were gathered for analytical evaluation.Results:Compared to healthy individuals,patients with cervical cancer exhibit a reduced proportion of CD8 positive T cells within their peripheral blood.And for patients with cervical cancer,radiation therapy has been found to be more effective than chemotherapy in increasing the proportion of CD8 positive T lymphocytes and NK cells.Conclusions:These results suggest that radiation therapy increases the levels of CD8 positive T lymphocytes and NK cells within the peripheral blood of patients with cervical cancer.The study hypothesis that the changes in the percentage of CD8 positive T lymphocytes may serve as a potential indicator for predicting treatment efficacy.

The accomplishment of nanowelding typically requires the input of high energy,possibly causing appreciable damages to the brittle nanomaterial.Herein,we report an external field(EF,i.e.,light,direct current(DC),and alternating current(AC))-strengthened Ostwald nanowelding(ONW)strategy to enable low-temperature nanowelding of Au nanoparticles(NPs)with nanoscale spacing in solution and propose an electron localization mechanism to understand it.We reveal that the EF-derived local electrons not only greatly strengthen the dissolution of surface atoms and the reduction of Au3+ions dissolved,but also confine(together with ordered water molecules)the transport of Au^(3+)ions within the nanogap.Consequently,the electrochemical Ostwald ripening(OR)process of the Au NPs is actively strengthened,which,along with the local electron-strengthened surface atom diffusion(as a result of the strong electrostatic repulsion created),enables feasible ONW for solution processing of interdigital electrodes(IDEs)from Au NPs and high-performance transparent conductor(TC)from Ag nanowires(NWs).Our low-temperature nanowelding strategy offers an efficient interconnection technique for the processing of functional nanodevices from individual nanomaterials.

Determination of total sulfur in geothermal water by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry

Sulfur speciation and concentration in geothermal water are of great significance for the research and utilization of the water resources.In most situations,it is necessary to determine the total sulfur in geothermal water.In this study,the method was established for the determination of determining total sulfur content-the inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES),with the wavelength of 182.034 nm selected in spectral line of sulfur.It was identified that the optimal working conditions of the ICP-AES instrument were 1200 W for high frequency generator power 9 mm for vertical observation height,0.30 MPa atomizer pressure,and 50 r/min analytical pump speed.The matrix interference of the method was eliminated by the matrix matching method.Using this method,sulfur detection limit and minimum quantitative detection limit were 0.028 mg/L and 0.110 mg/L,respectively,whilst the linear range was 0.0-100.0 mg/L.The recovery rate of sample was between 90.67%and 108.7%,and the relative standard deviation(RSD)was between 0.36%and 2.14%.The method was used to analyze the actual samples and the results were basically consistent with the industry standard method.With high analysis efficiency,the method has low detection limit and minimum quantitative detection limit,wide linear range,good precision and accuracy,and provides an important detection method for the determination of total sulfur in geothermal water.

Objective:To explore the protective effect and potential mechanisms of danshen root(Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.,S.miltiorrhiza) and its extracts for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods:Preclinical studies of S.miltiorrhiza and its extracts on DN were systematically searched in nine databases.The primary outcomes were blood glucose,kidney function,proteinuria,and renal histopathology.The secondary outcomes included the related mechanisms.The methodological quality of animal studies was assessed based on the risk of bias tool of the Systematic Review Centre for Laboratory Animal Experimentation(SYRCLE) for animal studies.Meta-analysis was performed using R software(version 4.1.2).Results:Twenty-nine animal experimental studies that met the eligibility criteria were included in this study.Compared to the control group,S.miltiorrhiza reduced the serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen,24-h urine protein,24-h urine albumin,blood glucose,and kidney index(kidney weight/body weight),and alleviated renal pathological damage.In terms of the mechanism of action,compared to the control group,S.miltiorrhiza reduced the levels of transforming growth factor β1,collagen Ⅳ,malondialdehyde,tumor necrosis factor α,interleukin-6,and monocyte/macrophage(ED-1),and increased the levels of superoxide dismutase,glutathione peroxidase,nuclear factor E2-related factor 2,and heme oxygenase-1.Conclusion:The existing evidence shows that S.miltiorrhiza has beneficial effects on the animal model of DN,and its mechanism is mainly related to improving kidney fibrosis,oxidative stress,and inflammatory response.

Based on the theory of ecological organization,this paper analyzes the operation mechanism of chemical industry park(CIP)ecosystem by means of dynamic simulation.The research shows that the CIP ecosystem is a complex ecological system whose operation mechanism includes two levels,namely individual enterprises and ecosystem.At the level of individual enterprise,there are competition,symbiosis,invasion and other interactions between enterprises in the CIP ecosystem.Through the pre-determined judgment of the competition effect coefficient and the symbiosis effect coefficient,we calculate how the enterprises influence each other,and then generate their respective operation paths,andfinally realize the long-term balance of the system.At the level of ecosystem,the CIP ecosystem makes self-organizing and self-adaptive adjustments and changes due to the changes of the exter-nal environment in policy,manpower,technology,capital,market,etc.,thus reaching the equilibrium state of coordinated operation and stable symbiosis with the external environment.
