Evaluation of the effects of health education interventions for hypertensive patients based on the health belief model

BACKGROUND Hypertension is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease and stroke,and its prevalence is increasing *** education interventions based on the health belief model(HBM)can improve the knowledge,attitudes,and behaviors of patients with hypertension and help them control their blood *** To evaluate the effects of health education interventions based on the HBM in patients with hypertension in *** Between 2021 and 2023,140 patients with hypertension were randomly assigned to either the intervention or control *** intervention group received health education based on the HBM,including lectures,brochures,videos,and counseling sessions,whereas the control group received routine *** were measured at baseline,three months,and six months after the intervention and included blood pressure,medication adherence,self-efficacy,and perceived benefits,barriers,susceptibility,and *** The intervention group had significantly lower systolic blood pressure[mean difference(MD):-8.2 mmHg,P<0.001]and diastolic blood pressure(MD:-5.1 mmHg,P=0.002)compared to the control group at six *** intervention group also had higher medication adherence(MD:1.8,P<0.001),self-efficacy(MD:12.4,P<0.001),perceived benefits(MD:3.2,P<0.001),lower perceived barriers(MD:-2.6,P=0.001),higher perceived susceptibility(MD:2.8,P=0.002),and higher perceived severity(MD:3.1,P<0.001)than the control group at six *** Health education interventions based on the HBM effectively improve blood pressure control and health beliefs in patients with hypertension and should be implemented in clinical practice and community settings.

Pyrene Derivate Functionalized with Acetylene for Organic Field Effect Transistors

A new X-shaped compound (SiPy) functionalized with acetylene bonds in the 1-, 3-, 6-, and 8-positions of the pyrene core has been synthesized by Sonogashira coupling reactions. Its photophysical, thermal, and organic field effect transistor (OFET) properties as well as the film morphologies have been investigated. SiPy exhibits high stability which is evidenced by thermal gravimetric analysis. The atomic force microscopy images reveal that the morphology of thin films depends on the substrate temperature. The film OFET devices based on SiPy were constructed and exhibited p-type performances.

Laparoscopic liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma complicated with significant portal hypertension:A propensity score-matched survival analysis

Background: Significant portal hypertension(SPH) is a relative contraindication for patients with resectable hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). However, increasing evidence indicates that liver resection is feasible for HCC patients with SPH. Methods: HCC patients with cirrhosis who underwent laparoscopic liver resection(LLR) in two centers from January 2013 to April 2018 were included. Surgical and survival outcomes were analyzed to explore potential prognostic factors. Propensity score matching(PSM) analysis was performed to minimize bias. Results: A total of 165 patients were divided into two groups based on the presence(SPH, n = 76) or absence(non-SPH, n = 89) of SPH. Patients in the SPH group had longer operative time, more blood loss, and more advanced TNM stage than patients in the non-SPH group( P 0.05). After PSM, alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) ≥ 400 μg/L [hazard ratio(HR) = 4.71, 95% confidence interval(CI): 2.69-8.25], ascites(HR = 2.18, 95% CI: 1.30-3.66), American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA) classification(Ⅲ vs. Ⅱ)(HR = 2.13, 95% CI: 1.11-4.07) and tumor diameter > 5 cm(HR = 3.91, 95% CI: 2.02-7.56) independently predicted worse OS. Conclusions: LLR for patients with HCC complicated with SPH appears feasible at the price of increasing operative time and blood loss. A series of novel organic compounds named as CSPI, DPASPI, PSPI DEASPI and HEASPI respectively, with large two-photon absorption has been synthesized and their structures have been determined by (HNMR)-H-1 and elemental analysis. The highest two-photon pumped (TPP) output /input efficiency is as high as 13.4% for PSPI in DMF with d(0) = 0.03 mol/L and the effective two-photon absorption cross section is 8.8x10(-48) cm(4).s/photon for DPASPI in DMF with d(0) = 0.05 mol/L.

A versatile and effective method for incorporating functional groups on the pore wall of three-dimensionally ordered macroporous cross-linked polystyrene（3DOM CLPS） by hydrophilic spacer arm has been *** 3DOM CLPS with pore size 865 nm was prepared by sacrifice template *** hydrophilic spacer arm（polyethylene glycol,molecular weight is 600） was grafted to the 3DOM CLPS via nucleophilic substitution *** other side of active hydroxyl can be further converted into a lot of other functional *** this report,the chelating ligand 2-mercaptobenzothiazole（MBZ） group was introduced on the end of the PGE chain to evidence the versatile functionalization *** functionalized ordered macroporous materials were characterized by FT-IR,element analyzer,*** results reveal that the pores were successfully bonded with 2-mercaptobenzothiazole groups via hydrophilic spacer arms and the original morphology of ordered macroporous materials were remained after *** MBZ group density is 0.052 mmol/m^*** functionalized 3DOM CLPS are expected to application as heavy metal ions adsorbent.

Polyclonal antiharpinxoo rabbit antibody has been prepared successfully using purified harpinxoo protein as an immunogen. The ELISA titer of the antiserum against harpinxoo was about 1：2 000. Western blot analysis showed that the antiserum could bind to the expression harpinxoo protein in particular, hrfl, encoding harpinxoo, is an expression in transgenic rice, detected by antiharpinxoo rabbit antibody. The rabbit antibody against harpinxoo can be used to study further about the biological function, harpinxoo localization, and hrfl gene expression in other plants.

Impact of formation water on the generation of H2S in condensate reservoirs： a case study from the deep Ordovician in the Tazhong Uplift of the Tarim Basin, NW China

A number of condensate reservoirs with high concentrations of H2S have been discovered in the deep dolomite reservoirs of the lower Ordovician Yingshan Formation（O1y） in the Tazhong Uplift, where the formation water has a high p H value. In the O1y reservoir, the concentrations of Mg^2＋ and SO4^2-in the formation water are higher than those in the upper Ordovician *** concentration of H2 S in the condensate reservoirs and the concentration of Mg^2＋in the formation water correlate well in the O1y reservoirs of the Tazhong Uplift, which indicates a presumed thermochemical sulfate reduction（TSR） origin of H2S according to the oxidation theory of contact ion-pairs（CIPs）. Besides, the p H values of the formation water are positively correlated with the concentration of H2S in the condensate reservoirs, which may indicate that high p H might be another factor to promote and maintain TSR. Oil–source correlation of biomarkers in the sulfuretted condensates indicates the Cambrian source rocks could be the origin of condensates. The formation water in the condensate reservoirs of O1y is similar to that in the Cambrian; therefore, the TSR of sulfate-CIPs likelyoccurred in the Cambrian. High H2S-bearing condensates are mainly located near the No. 1 Fault and NE-SW strikeslip faults, which are the major migration pathway of deep fluids in the Tazhong Uplift. The redox between sulfateCIPs and hydrocarbons is the generation mechanism of H2S in the deep dolomite condensate reservoirs of the Tazhong Uplift. This finding should be helpful to predict the fluid properties of deep dolomite reservoirs.
