Hydrophilic polymeric membrane supported on silver nanoparticle surface decorated polyester textile:Toward enhancement of water flux and dye removal

A novel mixed matrix nanofiltration membrane was constructed by coating a casting solution containing polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF),polyethylene glycol(PEG)as hydrophilic agent,zeolitic like framework-67(ZIF-67),ethylenediamine as cross-linking agent on Ag-nanoparticle-decorated polyester textile(PT)support(PT/AgNPs/PVDF-PEG/ZIF-67).PT/Ag-NPs/PVDF-PEG/ZIF-67 morphology,crystalline structure,surface chemical composition and hydrophilicity of PT/Ag-NPs/PVDF-PEG/ZIF-67 were fully characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and water contact angle technique,***/Ag-NPs/PVDF-PEG/ZIF-67 was applied in cross module set-up for removal of contaminated water containing rose bengal(RB)*** effect of operational parameters such as dye concentration,solution pH and flow rate on performance of PT/Ag-NPs/PVDF-PEG/ZIF-67 were investigated and optimized by central composite design(CCD).Casting solution containing 0.5 wt.%ZIF-67 as optimum value showed the good wettability,high pure water flux(PWF;35.8 L·m-2·h-1),flux recovery ratio(FRR;90%),dye removal efficiency(96.41%).The selectivity factor of 12.72 and 14.42 was found to be for RB in the presence of amido black and methylene blue as interferent dyes,respectively,which showed a good selective recognition ability for RB dye.

Magnetic metal organic framework for pre-concentration of ampicillin from cow milk samples

The aim of this study is a present of a simple solvothermal synthesis approach to preparation of Cu-based magnetic metal organic framework(MMOF)and subsequently its application as sorbent for ultrasound assisted magnetic solid phase extraction(UAMSPE)of ampicillin(AMP)from cow milk samples prior to high performance liquid chromatography-Ultraviolet(HPLC-UV)*** of prepared MMOF were fully investigated by different techniques which showed the exclusive properties of proposed sorbent in terms of proper functionality,desirable magnetic property and also high specific surface *** influential factors on extraction recovery including sorbent dosage,ultrasonic time,washing solvent volume and eluent solvent volume were assessed using central composite design(CCD)based response surface methodology(RSM)as an operative and powerful optimization *** is the first report for determination of AMP using *** proposed method addressed some drawbacks of other methods and sorbents for determination of *** presented method decreases the extraction time(4 min)and also enhances adsorption capacity(250 mg/g).Moreover,the magnetic property of presented sorbent(15 emu/g)accelerates the extraction process which does not need filtration,centrifuge and precipitation *** the optimized conditions,the proposed method is applicable for linear range of 1.0-5000.0 μg/L with detection limit of 0.29 μg/L,satisfactory recoveries(≥95.0%)and acceptable repeatability(RSD less than 4.0%).The present study indicates highly promising perspectives of MMOF for highly effective analysis of AMP in complicated matrices.

A New Approach for the Determination of Metronidazole Using Switchable Solvent Coupled with Au-MWCNTs-Modified Electrochemical Sensor

In this work,a new liquid-phase microextraction method coupled with an electrochemical technique using a switchable solvent was proposed for the determination of *** extraction solvent used was dipropylamine(DPA),which exhibited switchable *** means that it can become miscible or immiscible when in contact with carboxylic acids in the aqueous *** metronidazole was then measured using a glassy carbon electrode that was modified with Au-multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs).The eff ect of diff erent parameters such as the type and amount of trigger,the addition of salt,and the volume of extraction solvent on the e fficiency of switchable hydrophilic solvent-based liquid-phase microextraction(SHS-LPME)was investigated using the one-factor-at-a-time *** optimizing the conditions,the linear calibration curve was obtained in the concentration range of 0.005–250μmol/***,the limit of quantification(LOQ)of 0.005μmol/L and the limit of detection(LOD)of 0.0015μmol/L were obtained,respectively.

Preconcentration/separation of Co（II）, Fe（III）, Pb（II）, Cr（IIl）, Cu（II） and Cd（II） ions using bis（5-bromo- 2-hydroxy-benzaldehyde）-2-methy1-1,5-pentane diimine （BBHBPDI） on SDS coated alumina has been reported. The influences of the analytical parameters including pH, ligand and SDS amount, type and concentration of eluent and sample volume on metal ions recoveries were investigated. At optimum values of all variables the relative standard deviation are between 2.5-2.7 and preconcentration factor was 375, while recoveries for all understudy metal ions are higher than 95%, determination limits are between 1.5-2.7. The method has been successfully applied to determination of Co（II）, Fe（III）, Pb（II）, Cr（III）, Cu（II） and Cd（II） ions content in some real samples.

Dispersive micro-solid phase extraction coupled with spectrophotometric using(MgFe CLDH)/GO magnetically separable sorbent for pre-concentration of anionic food dyes in water samples

In the present study,a method was described for the extraction of Sunset Yellow(SY)and Tartrazine(TZ)as anionic food dyes in actual samples by using magnetic calcined layered double hydroxide onto gra-phene oxide(MgFe CLDH)/GO(called MgO/MgFe_(2)O_(4)/GO)*** analytes were accumulated on MgO/MgFe_(2)O_(4)/GO-NCs with more detail recognized by XRD,FESEM,EDS element mapping,VSM and FTIR *** prepared nanocomposite(NC)was employed as an extractive phase for dispersive micro-solid phase extraction(D-m-SPE)of SY and TA from actual ***,the extracted SY and TZ dyes were analyzed by UVevis *** variables related to the extraction process including pH,nano composite mass,sonication and vortex time and eluent volume were optimized by central composite design(CCD).The optimum conditions obtained for pH,nano composite mass,soni-cation and vortex time and eluent volume were 6.0,0.02 g,16 s and 6.40 min,and 500 mL,*** extraction recovery equal to 96.31%and 97.66%for SY and TZ,respectively obtained from the predicted model,was in agreement with the experimental data(95.32±2.33%and 96.89±1.84%).In addition,under the optimal conditions,the calibration curve was found out to be linear over the con-centration range of 0.5e2.50 mg L^(-1)with R^(2)>*** LODs ranged from 0.14 to 0.16 mgL^(-1).Furthermore,the enrichment factors(EF)were achieved in the range of 20.65e36.66 with pre-concentration factor(PF)of *** the meantime,the obtained assay accuracy in the analysis of medi-cal extract of Miranda Drink,Saffron and water samples fell within the range of 93.00%-107.00%,whilst the precision expressed RSD lower than 3.50%.
