Magnesium(Mg)stands out in temporary biomaterial applications due to its biocompatibility,biodegradability,and low Young’s ***,controlling its corrosion through next-generation polymer-based functional coatings is crucial due to the rapid degradation behavior of *** this study,the function of 2D lamellar Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(MXene)in Hydroxyapatite(HA)and Halloysite nanotube(HNT)hybrid coatings in biodegradable poly-(lactic acid)(PLA)was *** morphological and structural characterizations of the coatings on Mg were revealed through HRTEM,XPS,SEM-EDX,XRD,FTIR,and contact angle analyses/*** in vitro corrosion tests(OCP,PDS,and EIS-Nyquist)were conducted for evaluate corrosion resistance under simulated body fluid(SBF)*** bioactivity of the coatings in SBF have been revealed in accordance with the ISO 23,317 ***,antibacterial disk diffusion tests were conducted to investigate the functional effect of MXene in *** has been determined that the presence of MXene in the coating increased not only surface wettability(131°,85°,77°,and 74°for uncoated,pH,PHH,and PHH/MXene coatings,respectively)but also increased corrosion resistance(1857.850,42.357,1.593,and 0.085×10^(-6),A/cm^(2) for uncoated,pH,PHH,and PHH/MXene coatings,respectively).It has been proven that the in vitro bioactivity of PLA-HA coatings is further enhanced by adding HNT and MXene,along with SEM morphologies after ***,2D lamellar MXene-filled coating exhibits antibacterial behavior against both *** and *** bacteria.

AIM：To assess the impact of macular surgery on the functional and anatomic outcomes of the patients in different grades of epiretinal membrane（ERM）.METHODS：Seventy-one eyes of 71 patients who underwent 23-gauge transconjunctival sutureless pars plana vitrectomy for primary isolated ERM were evaluated in this ***：There were 38 females（53.5%） and 33 males（46.5%）.The average age of the patients was 68.1 y（range 42-89 y）.Mean follow up period was 14 mo（range 6-26 mo）.The cases were divided into two subgroups of cellophane maculopathy（CM） and macular pucker（MP）.An improvement was observed in the postoperative best-corrected visual acuity（BCVA）,as well as a decrement in central foveal thickness（CFT） in both groups（both of these being statistically significant;P=0.001）.In comparison between two groups,it was found that there was a significant improvement on BCVA and CFT in CM group than MP group（P=0.01）.Furthermore,the postoperative fundus findings regarding RPE alterations and macular edema were significantly higher in MP group when compared to the CM group（P=0.01）.CONCLUSION：ERM and internal limiting membrane peeling surgery can lead to a significant reduction of CFT and visual improvements in idiopathic ERM.A long-term ERM persistence will cause unrecoverable retinal damage and visual loss.

In this study,our aim was to examine the diagnostic and prognostic significance of lymphocyte/C-reactiveprotein ratio(LCR),neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and D-dimer parameters in COVID-19 *** LCR,NLR,neutrophil count,mean platelet volume(MPV),C-reactive protein(CRP),and D-dimer parameters wereevaluated *** was a retrospective cohort study with 1000 COVID-19 positive and 1000 healthycontrol groups,all over the age of 18 *** ratio(OR)and 95%confidence interval(CI)values were calculatedfor each parameter found to be statistically significant in the univariate and multivariate logistic regression ***,127(12.7%)of the COVID-19^(+)patients,whose data was included in this study,*** neutrophil,MPV,CRP,D-dimer,and NLR values were higher in the COVID-19^(+)/deceased group than in the COVID-19^(+)/alive andcontrol groups(p<0.001,p<0.001,p<0.001,p<0.001,p<0.001).The lymphocyte and LCR values were lower inthe COVID-19^(+)/deceased group than in the COVID-19^(+)/alive and control groups(p<0.001,p<0.001).Variableswith statistically significance in predicting COVID-19 infection were lymphocyte,LCR,D-dimer,NLR,CRP,MPV,PLT,and neutrophil *** significant variables in predicting mortality due to COVID-19 were LCR,CRP,NLR,lymphocyte,D-dimer,neutrophil,and MPV values.A low LCR and high NLR are associated with thepresence,prognosis,and mortality due to *** and NLR parameters can thus be used in clinicalmonitoring to reduce morbidity and mortality rates.

For more than 20 years,the concept of near-fault pulse-like ground motion has been a topic of great interest due to its distinct characteristics,particularly due to directivity or fling effects,which are hugely influenced by the rupture *** unexpected characteristics,along with their effective frequency,energy rate,and damage indices,create a near-fault,pulse-like ground motion capable of causing severe damage to *** of the most common approaches for identifying these ground motions is done by conducting wavelet decomposition of the ground motion time history to extract a pulse signal and eventually categorize an earthquake by comparing the original signal to the residual ***,to overcome the intensive calculations required in this approach,this study proposes using artificial neural networks to identify pulse-like ground motions through classification to predict their pulse period by means of regression ***,the study is intended to evaluate the reliability and accuracy of various artificial neural networks in identifying pulse-like ground motions and predicting their pulse *** general,the results of the study have shown that the artificial neural network can identify pulse-like earthquakes and reliably predict their pulse period.

A pandemic is not a new event encountered in the history of humanity because mankind has faced various pandemics in history. The common point of pandemics is their serious negative effects on the global economy. Considering the food supply chain, one of the most important sectors of the economy, it has been seen that COVID-19 has an impact on the whole process from the field to the consumer. In the light of recent challenges in food supply chain, there is now considerable concern about food production, processing, distribution, and demand. COVID-19 resulted in the movement restrictions of workers, changes in demand of consumers, closure of food production facilities, restricted food trade policies, and financial pressures in food supply chain. Therefore, governments should facilitate the movement of workers and agri-food products. In addition, small farmers or vulnerable people should be supported financially. Facilities should change the working conditions and maintain the health and safety of employees by altering safety measures. Food protectionist policies should be avoided to prevent an increase in food prices. In conclusion, each country must realize the severity of the situation and sometimes should tighten or loosen the measures according to the spread of the pandemic. The supply chain also should be flexible enough to respond to the challenges in the food supply chain. The purpose of this review is to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on the agriculture and food sector and to summarize the recommendations required to reduce and control the effect of the pandemic.

AIM： To evaluate the impact of liver steatosis upon response to given therapy in chronic hepatitis B （CriB） ***： 84 consecutive Crib patients treated with 48-wk PEGylated interferon （PEG-IFN） therapy were enrolled. Baseline characteristics and sustained viral re- sponse （SVR） to PEG-IFN therapy were ***： Mean body mass index （BMI） was 27.36 ±4.4 kg/m2. Six （7.1%） had hypertension and three （3.5%） had diabetes mellitus. Steatosis was present in 22.6% （19/84） of liver biopsy samples. Age, BMI, and triglyceride levels of the patients with hepatic steatosis were significantly higher than those without hepatic steatosis （P 〈 0.05）. SVR to PEG-IFN therapy was 21.4% （18/84）. Sixteen of these 18 CriB patients with SVR （88.9%） did not have any histopathologically determined steatosis. On the other hand, only two of the 19 CriB patients with hepatic steatosis had SVR （10.5%）. Although the SVR rate observed in patients without steatosis （16/65, 24.6%） was higher compared to those with steatosis （2/19, 10.5%）, the difference was not statistically significant （P 〉 0.05）.CONCLUSION： Occurrence of hepatic steatosis is significantly high in CHB patients and this association leads to a trend of decreased, but statistically insignificant, SVR rates to PEG-IFN treatment,

AIM： To determine the factors affecting mortality in pa- tients who developed graft-versus-host disease （GvHD） after liver transplantation （LT）. METHODS： We performed a review of studies of GvHD following LT published in the English literature and ac- cessed the PubMed, Medline, EBSCO, EMBASE, and Google Scholar databases. Using relevant search phras- es, 88 articles were identified. Of these, 62 articles con- raining most of the study parameters were considered eligible for the study. Risk factors were first examined using a univariate Kaplan-Meier model, and variables with a significant association （P 〈 0.05） were then sub- jected to multivariate analyses using a Cox proportional- hazards model. RESULTS： The 61 articles reported 87 patients, 58 male and 29 female, mean age, 40.4 ± 15.5 years （range： 8 mo to 74 years）, who met the inclusion criteria for the present study. Deaths occurred in 59 （67.8%） patients, whereas 28 （32.2%） survived after a mean follow-up period of 280.8 ± 316.2 d （range： 27-2285 d）. Among the most frequent symptoms were rash （94.2%）, fever （66.6%）, diarrhea （54%）, and pancytopenia （54%）. The average time period between LT and first symptom on- set was 60.6 ± 190.1 d （range： 2-1865 d）. The Kaplan- Meier analysis revealed that pancytopenia （42.8% vs 59.3%, P = 0.03）, diarrhea （39.2% vs 61.0%, P = 0.04）, age difference between the recipient and the donor （14.6 ± 3.1 years vs 22.6 ± 2.7 years, P 〈 0.0001）, and time From first symptom occurrence to diagnosis or treatment （13.3 ± 2.6 mo vs 15.0 ± 2.3 mo, P 〈 0.0001） were significant factors affecting mortality, whereas age, sex, presence of rash and fever, use of immunosuppressive agents, acute rejection before GvHD, etiological causes, time of onset, and donor type were not associated with mortality risk. Balo's concentric sclerosis(BCS) is a rare monophasic demyelinating disease known as multiple sclerosis subtype and seen as a round lesion with variable hyper and hypodetoxification layers. Characteristic appearance can be seen as "bulb eye" or "onion bulb". The initial terminology for this neurological disorder was leukoencephalitis periaxialis concentrica; this is defined as a disease in which the white matter of the brain is destroyed in concentric layers in such a way as to leave the axial cylinders intact. This report presents a case of BCS with spontaneous healing of the patient and a mass lesion with concentric rings adjacent to the left lateral ventricle and the posterior portion of the corpus callosum with peripheral vasogenic edema. The neurological lesion of the patient was similar to the magnetic resonance imaging and clinical findings of the BCS.
