FedTC:A Personalized Federated LearningMethod with Two Classifiers

Centralized training of deep learning models poses privacy risks that hinder their *** learning(FL)has emerged as a solution to address these risks,allowing multiple clients to train deep learning models collaborativelywithout sharing ***,FL is vulnerable to the impact of heterogeneous distributed data,which weakens convergence stability and suboptimal performance of the trained model on local *** is due to the discarding of the old local model at each round of training,which results in the loss of personalized information in the model critical for maintaining model accuracy and ensuring *** this paper,we propose FedTC,a personalized federated learning method with two classifiers that can retain personalized information in the local model and improve the model’s performance on local *** divides the model into two parts,namely,the extractor and the classifier,where the classifier is the last layer of the model,and the extractor consists of other *** classifier in the local model is always retained to ensure that the personalized information is not *** receiving the global model,the local extractor is overwritten by the globalmodel’s extractor,and the classifier of the globalmodel serves as anadditional classifier of the localmodel toguide local *** FedTCintroduces a two-classifier training strategy to coordinate the two classifiers for local model *** results on Cifar10 and Cifar100 datasets demonstrate that FedTC performs better on heterogeneous data than current studies,such as FedAvg,FedPer,and local training,achieving a maximum improvement of 27.95%in model classification test accuracy compared to FedAvg.

Software-Defined Networking(SDN)represents a significant paradigm shift in network architecture,separating network logic from the underlying forwarding devices to enhance flexibility and centralize ***-rently,the Internet of Things(IoT)connects numerous devices to the Internet,enabling autonomous interactions with minimal human ***,implementing and managing an SDN-IoT system is inherently complex,particularly for those with limited resources,as the dynamic and distributed nature of IoT infrastructures creates security and privacy challenges during SDN *** findings of this study underscore the primary security and privacy challenges across application,control,and data planes.A comprehensive review evaluates the root causes of these challenges and the defense techniques employed in prior works to establish sufficient secrecy and privacy *** investigations have explored cutting-edge methods,such as leveraging blockchain for transaction recording to enhance security and privacy,along with applying machine learning and deep learning approaches to identify and mitigate the impacts of Denial of Service(DoS)and Distributed DoS(DDoS)***,the analysis indicates that encryption and hashing techniques are prevalent in the data plane,whereas access control and certificate authorization are prominently considered in the control plane,and authentication is commonly employed within the application ***,this paper outlines future directions,offering insights into potential strategies and technological advancements aimed at fostering a more secure and privacy-conscious SDN-based IoT ecosystem.

Effects of dietary fiber and threonine on performance,intestinal morphology and immune responses in broiler chickens

The present experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of fiber and threonine(Thr)on growth performance,intestinal morphology and immune responses of broiler chickens.A total of 420 one-dayold mixed sex broiler chicks(Ross 308)were randomly divided into 6 experimental diets and 5 replicates of 14 chicks based on a factorial arrangement(2 × 3)from 1 to 42 d of *** factors included dietary supplemental fiber type(no supplemental fiber[NSF],30 g/kg sugar beet pulp[SBP]or 30 g/kg rice hull[RH])and Thr inclusion level(100% or 110% of Thr requirement recommended by breeder company[Ross 308]).Growth performance of broilers was assayed at different periods of the *** morphometric features were measured at 21 d of *** titer against sheep red blood cells(SRBC),Newcastle and influenza disease viruses were measured on d 30 of *** inclusion of SBP and RH significantly decreased feed intake and weight gain during the entire rearing period(P<0.05).Interaction of fiber and Thr had no beneficial effects on the performance of chickens across the entire rearing *** supplementation of 110% Thr required level improved jejunal morphometric features(P<0.05),whereas its inclusion with fibrous materials failed to show the same *** supplemental Thr together with SBP significantly increased antibody production against SRBC(P<0.05).In conclusion,although supplemental 30 g/kg fibrous materials impaired growth performance,inclusion of SBP along with 110% Thr level improved the humoral immunity in broiler chickens.

Numerical Investigation of a UCN Source Based on Solid Deuterium by Combining a Simulation Code with an Analytical Approach

At thermal ultra-cold neutron (UCN) sources (neutrons in thermal equilibrium with the moderator) only a very small fraction of neutrons have velocities ~6 m/s. Therefore, the UCN production rate cannot be substantially increased by simply lowering the temperature of the moderator. The new approach is to use the super-thermal principle, i.e., neutrons not in thermal equilibrium with the converter. We want to investigate scattering kernels for a super-thermal UCN source based on a two-layer arrangement of D2O and solid D2. The solid D2 (sD2) at temperature 8 K is kept in close contact with D2O moderator at room temperature. Using the MCNP code, the fast neutron flux on the spallation target, the thermal flux in the D2O near the sD2, and the cold flux in the sD2 are simulated. For a given cold flux, neutron transport equations are calculated. In order to obtain precise neutron scattering kernels, and consequently UCN flux and density, 330 neutron energy groups have been taken. The coupled energy dependent transport equations have been solved by combining MCNPX code with an analytical approach and using implicit method in MATLAB. We have obtained an optimal dimension for the UCN source. A suitable space step has been taken for the numerical stability.

Effect of cold rolling on the microstructural, magnetic, mechanical, and corrosion properties of AISI 316L austenitic stainless steel

This study has evaluated the effect of different levels of cold rolling（from 0 to 50%）on the microstructural,magnetic,and mechanical properties and the corrosion behavior of 316L austenitic stainless steel in Na Cl（1 mol/L）＋H_2SO_4（0.5 mol/L）*** examinations using optical microscopy revealed the development of a morphological texture from coaxial to elongated grains during the cold-rolling *** analysis carried out on the basis of X-ray diffraction confirmed the formation of the ferromagneticα′-martensite phase under the stresses applied during cold *** finding is in agreement with magnetic measurements using a vibrating sample *** properties determined by tensile and Vickers microhardness tests demonstrated an upward trend in the hardness-to-yield strength ratio with increasing cold-rolling percentage,representing a reduction in the material’s work-hardening *** and localized corrosion parameters were estimated via potentiodynamic polarization corrosion tests and electrochemical impedance *** contrast to the uniform corrosion,wherein the corrosion current density increased with increasing cold-working degree because of the high density of microstructural defects,the passive potential range and breakdown potential increased by cold working,showing greater resistance to pit *** pits were formed,the cold-rolled material repassivation tendency decreased because of the broader hysteresis anodic loop,as confirmed experimentally by observation of the microscopic features after electrochemical cyclic polarization evaluations.

A Study on Flame Forming of Bowl Shaped Surface with Various Spiral Irradiating Schemes

In this paper, various strategies of spiral irradiating scheme for the flame forming of a bowl shaped surface are investigated experimentally and numerically. Experimental work is performed using a flame torch integrated with a 2-axis CNC workstation. The ABAQUS implicit solver is used in the numerical simulation. Three different strategies of the spiral irradiating scheme are investigated for the flame forming of a bowl shaped surface. The first strategy is the Simple spi- ral irradiating scheme, the second is the Rotational spiral irradiating scheme, and the third is the Symmetrical-Rotational spiral irradiating scheme. The results show that using the Symmetrical- Rotational spiral irradiating scheme, a bowl shaped surface with the maximum deformation can be produced, followed by using the Rotational scheme, and the Simple spiral scheme. It is also concluded from the results that the spiral irradiating scheme with Symmetrical-Rotational, Rota- tional and Simple spiral schemes lead to the maximum symmetries in the produced bowl shaped surface, respectively. All the numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental ob- servations.

BLUNT CRACK-TIP ELASTOPLASTIC ZONE OF MIXED MODE FRACTURE

This article discusses the characterization of fracture process zone at the tip of a blunt crack in elastoplastic materials under mixed mode loading. The analysis includes the description of elastoplastic zone geometry around the blunt crack tip for predicting crack growth direction. The deformed zone appearing at the crack front is described by presenting a criterion based on the subloading surface concept falling within the framework of unconventional plasticity. The mixed mode crack propagates along the minimum value of the elastoplastic region. The present solutions are reduced to those previously reported in literature, when the elastic perfectly plastic material is considered.
