Methionine sources and genotype affect embryonic intestinal development,antioxidants,tight junctions,and growth-related gene expression in chickens

Methionine(Met)is an essential and first limiting amino acid in the poultry diet that plays a significant role in chicken embryonic development and *** present study examined the effect of in ovo injection of DL-Met and L-Met sources and genotypes on chicken embryonic-intestinal development and *** eggs of the two genotypes,TETRA-SL layer hybrid(TSL)—commercial layer hybrid and Hungarian Partridge colored hen breed(HPC)—a native genotype,were randomly distributed into four treatments for each *** treatment groups include the following:1)control non-injected eggs(NoIn);2)saline-injected(SaIn);3)DL-Met injected(DLM);and 4)L-Met injected(LM).The in ovo injection was carried out on 17.5 d of embryonic development;after hatching,eight chicks per group were sacrificed,and the jejunum was extracted for *** results showed that both DLM and LM groups had enhanced intestinal development as evidenced by increased villus width,villus height,and villus area(Ptathione(GSH)content,glutathione S-transferase 3 alpha(GST3),occludin(OCLN)gene expression and increased villus height to crypt depth ratio in the TSL genotype than the LM group(Pmd2),occludin(OCLN),superoxide dismutase 1(SOD1),and GST3 genes than the TSL genotype(P<0.05).In conclusion,these findings showed that in ovo injection of Met enhanced intestinal development,and function,with genotypes responding differently under normal *** also influenced the expression of intestinal antioxidants,tight junction,and growth-related genes.

The rapid development of molecular dynamics(md)simulations,as well as classical and reactive atomic potentials,has enabled tribologists to gain new insights into lubrication performance at the fundamental ***,the impact of adopted potentials on the rheological properties and tribological performance of hydrocarbons has not been researched *** extensive study analyzed the effects of surface structure,applied load,and force field(FF)on the thin film lubrication of *** lubricant film became more solid‐like as the applied load *** particular,with increasing applied load,there was an increase in the velocity slip,shear viscosity,and *** degree of ordering structure also changed with the applied load but rather *** was also significantly dependent on the surface *** chosen FFs significantly influenced the lubrication performance,rheological properties,and molecular *** adaptive intermolecular reactive empirical bond order(AIREBO)potential resulted in more significant liquid‐like behaviors,and the smallest velocity slip,degree of ordering structure,and shear stress were compared using the optimized potential for liquid simulations of united atoms(OPLS‐UAs),condensed‐phase optimized molecular potential for atomic simulation studies(COMPASS),and ***,classical potentials,such as OPLS‐UA and COMPASS,exhibit more solid‐like behavior than reactive potentials ***,owing to the solid‐like behavior,the lubricant temperatures obtained from OPLS‐UA and COMPASS were much lower than those obtained from AIREBO and *** increase in shear stress,as well as the decrease in velocity slip with an increase in the surface potential parameterζ,remained conserved for all chosen FFs,thus indicating that the proposed surface potential parameterζfor the COMPASS FF can be verified for a wide range of atomic models.

In this study,we investigated how Oroxylum indicum leaf and fruit extracts affect the viability and migration of MCF-7 breast cancer cells and the mechanisms of action responsible for these ***-7 cells treated with the extracts were examined using the sulforhodamine B,colony formation and caspase 3 activity assays,and by Western *** extracts were found to inhibit MCF-7 cell growth in a concentration-and time-dependent manner,with 48 h IC50 values of 57.02±2.85μg/mL and 131.3±19.2μg/mL for leaf and fruit extracts,***,the *** leaf extract caused a reduction in MCF-7 cell viability,induction of MCF-7 cell apoptosis and ROS formation,and an increase in caspase 3 ***,the two extracts inhibited MCF-7 cell migration and reduced both MMP 9 and ICAMP1 gene expression and MMP9 protein ***,*** extracts greatly reduced expression of the cell cycle regulatory protein Rac1 in the mevalonate *** summary,*** leaf and fruit extracts reduce breast cancer cell growth,cell viability and cell *** constituents could,therefore,be useful for augmenting the activity of chemotherapeutic drugs employed to treat breast cancer.

In this work Gd/La@ZnO nanoflower photocatalyst was successfully synthesized by a co-precipitation method and applied for rhodamine B(Rh B) and tetracycline(TCN) degradation under direct sunlight *** doping of rare earth elements extends the optical absorption wavelength of ZnO from UV region(390 nm) to visible-light region(401 nm).In addition,the co-doped ZnO nanoflower exhibits a lower charge recombination efficiency which was confirmed by photoluminescence emission ***,the co-doped ZnO nanoflower exhibits the maximum degradation efficiency of 91% for Rh B and 74% for TCN under sunlight *** calculated synergistic index of co-doped ZnO is higher than that of the pure *** radicals’ production was confirmed by terephthalic acid(ta) and nitro-blue tetrazolium(NBT) *** holes and hydroxyl(·OH) radicals play the major role in degradation reaction and it was confirmed by scavenger’s ***,the recycling test confirms the stability of the photocatalyst.

Numerous studies using a combination of confocal microscopic-and pharmacological-based approaches have demonstrated that the actin cytoskeleton dynamically responds to pathogen ***,we observed that phalloidin treatment induced actin nucleation,resulting in enhanced resistance of wheat against the stripe rust pathogen Puccinia striiformis ***(Pst).To define the mechanism underpinning this process,we characterized a family of conserved actin-binding proteins,the actin related protein(ARP)family,which controls actin ***,we identified and characterized a wheat ARPC gene(ta ARPC5),which encodes a 136-amino acid protein containing a P16-Arc domain,the smallest subunit of the ARP2/3 *** ARPC5 m RNA accumulation was induced following the infection of plants with the avirulent Pst strain,and following the elicitation with flagellin(e.g.,flg22)as *** localization analysis revealed that ta ARPC5 is primarily localized to the cortical actin cytoskeleton,and its precise cellular localizations suggest the proximity to processes correlated with the actin-organelle *** treatment with virulent Pst,ta ARPC5-knockdown plants exhibited a significant reduction in the expression of PTI-specific m ***,we observed enhanced induction of reactive oxygen species(ROS)accumulation and a decrease in ta CAT1 expression following infection with an incompatible Pst *** with yeast complementation assays,the current study demonstrates a role for ta ARPC5 in resistance signaling in wheat against Pst infection by regulating the host actin cytoskeleton.

Reproductive stage frost poses a major constraint for wheat production in countries such as ***,little progress has been made in identifying key genes to overcome the *** the present study,a severe frost event hit two large-scale field trials consisting of six doubled haploid(DH)wheat populations at reproductive stage(young microspore stage)in Western Australia,leading to the identification of 30 robust frost QTL on 17 *** major 18 QTL with the phenotype variation over 9.5%were located on 13 chromosomes including 2 A,2 B,2 D,3 A,4 A,4 B,4 D,5 A,5 D,6 D,7 A,7 B and7 *** frost QTL were closely linked to the QTL of anthesis,maturity,Zadok stages as well as linked to anthesis related *** of those,six QTL were repetitively detected on the homologous regions on 2 B,4 B,4 D,5 A,5 D,7 A in more than two *** showed that the frost damage is associated with alleles of Vrn-A1 a,Vrn-D1 a,Rht-B1 b,Rht-D1 b,and the high copy number of ***,anthesis QTL and anthesis related genes of Vrn-B1 a and ta FT3-1 B on chromosomes 5 B and 1 B did not lead to frost damage,indicating that these early-flowering phenotype related genes are compatible with frost tolerance and thus can be utilised in *** results also indicate that wild-type alleles Rht-B1 a and Rht-D1 a can be used when breeding for frost-tolerant varieties without delaying flowering time.

Dimensioning Urban Drainage Systems in Housing Subdivisions in the Amazon Using Different Hydrological Models

Hydrological studies for sizing urban drainage systems in the Amazon have often been neglected and little investigated for rainwater projects. This research evaluated alternative hydrological models used in sizing urban drainage network projects in subdivisions with subsidized houses in the Amazonian region in Brazil. Statistical tests of these models were performed for both original and alternative scenarios. The methodological steps we conducted as follows: 1) evaluate the dimensioning of infrastructure project networks, considering two case studies contemplated by the Calha Norte Program (CNP) in the state of Amapá;2) test the statistical significance of the dimensioning of network diameters (α md or M1) approved by the Ministry of Defense;b) determination of concentration time (Ct) and rainfall intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) relationships, as well as estimating diameters using alternative models. The results indicated a significant influence on the diameters of the projected rainfall networks (p t parameter significantly impacts dimensioning estimates in rainwater projects in these Amazonian municipalities. This suggests that underestimated parameters in md may cause inefficiency in the stormwater system projects in future similar scenarios.

The frequency dependent dielectric properties of barium magnesium tantalate （BMT）, Ba（Mgl/3ta2/3）03 and barium zinc tantalate （BZT）, Ba（Znl/3ta2/3）03 synthesized by solid state reaction technique have been investigated at various temperatures by impedance spectroscopy. BMT and BZT possess cubic structure with lattice parameter a = 0.708 and 0.451 nm, respectively. The resonance peaks due to dielectric relaxation processes are observed in the loss tangent of these oxides. The relaxation in the samples is polydispersive in nature. The temperature dependence of dc conductivity, the most probable relaxation frequency （corn） obtained from tanδ vs logo） plots and ωm obtained from imaginary parts of the complex electrical modulus vs Iogω plots follow the Arrhenius behavior. According to these Arrhenius plots the activation energies of BMT and BZT are about 0.54 and 0.40 eV, respectively. Thus the results indicate that samples are semiconducting in nature. The frequency-dependent electrical data are analyzed in the framework of conductivity and electric modulus formalisms. Both these formalisms show qualitative similarities in relaxation time. Our study points that for complex perovskite oxides with general formula A（B＇B＇）03, the dielectric properties significantly depend on the atomic radii of both A and B type cations. BMT and BZT exhibit enhancement in dielectric property compared to their niobate counterparts. They may find several technological applications such as in capacitors, resonators and filters owing to their high dielectric constant and low loss tangent.
