Morphological characters of Botia lohachata

Objective:To provide complete and informative description on morphometric characters i.e.,relationships between length-weight(LWRs)and length-length and meristic characters of Botia lohachata from the Ganges River,Northwestern ***:Samples were collected occasionally using different fishing gears from July 2015 to June *** each individual,total 15 lengths were taken using digital slide calipers and body weight was measured using an electronic balance with 0.01 cm and 0.01 g accuracy,*** LWRs was estimated using the formula:W=a×L^(b),where W was the body weight(g);L was the length(cm)and,a and b were LWRs *** meristic data were counted using magnifying ***:A sum of 110 individuals of Botia lohachata were hardly *** length was varied from 3.70-6.80 cm and body weight was ranged from 0.55 to 2.80 *** LWRs were highly correlated(P<0.001)with r^(2)values greater than *** calculated overall allometric coefficient(b)indicated negative allometric growth pattern(b<3.00,P<0.001).In addition,all length-length relationships were highly significant(P<0.001)and most of the r^(2)values were greater than *** fin formula was-dorsal,D.10-11(2-3/8);pectoral,P_(c).8-10(4-6/4);pelvic,P_(v).8(2-3/5-6);anal,A_(n).6-7(2/4-5);and caudal,C_(a).20-22(6-8/14-16).Conclusions:The findings of the present study will keep a crucial contribution to fisheries scientist in favor of identification of this fish,stock assessment and sustainable conservation in the Ganges River of Bangladesh and adjoining ***,these results will impart valuable information for the FishBase,as well as provide an important baseline for further studies.

Fractional order prey-predator model incorporating immigration on prey:Complexity analysis and its control

In this paper,the Caputo fractional derivative is assumed to be the prey-predator *** order to create Caputo fractional differential equations for the prey-predator model,a discretization process is first *** fixed points of the model are categorized *** identify requirements for the fixed points of the suggested prey-predator model's local asymptotic *** demonstrate analytically that,under specific parametric conditions,a fractional order prey-predator model supports both a Neimark-Sacker(NS)bifurcation and a Flip *** present evidence for NS and Flip bifurcations using central manifold and bifurcation *** parameter values and the initial conditions have been found to have a profound impact on the dynamical behavior of the fractional order prey-predator *** the bifurcation parameter is increased,the system displays chaotic *** simulations are shown to demonstrate chaotic behaviors like bifurcations,phase portraits,invariant closed cycles,and attractive chaotic sets in addition to validating analytical *** suggested prey-predator dynamical system's chaotic behavior will be controlled by the OGY and hybrid control methodology,which will also visualize the chaotic state for various biological parameters.

Hybrid Effects on MHD Mixed Convective Boundary Layer Flow through a Sloped Plate in Existence of Nanofluid-Saturated Porous Medium

This study examines the effects of heat, mass, and boundary layer assumptions-based nanoparticle characteristics on the hybrid effects of using MHD in conjunction with mixed convective flow through a sloped vertical pore plate in the existence of medium of porous. Physical characteristics such as thermo-diffusion, injection-suction, and viscous dissipation are taken into consideration, in addition to an equally distributed magnetic force utilized as well in the completely opposite path of the flow. By means of several non-dimensional transformations, the momentum, energy, concentration, and nanoparticle volume fraction equations under investigation are converted in terms of nonlinear boundary layer equations and computationally resolved by utilizing the sixth-order Runge-Kutta strategy in combination together with the iteration of Nachtsheim-Swigert shooting procedure. By contrasting the findings produced for a few particular examples with those found in the published literature, the correctness of the numerical result is verified, and a rather good agreement is found. Utilizing various ranges of pertinent factors, computing findings are determined not only regarding velocity, temperature, and concentration as well as nanoparticle fraction of volume but also concerning with local skin-friction coefficient, local Nusselt and general Sherwood numbers associated with nanoparticle Sherwood number. The findings of the study demonstrate that increasing the fluid suction parameter decreases the velocity and temperature of the flow field in conjunction with concentration and has a variable impact on the nanoparticle fraction of volume, despite an increasing behavior in the local skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt as well as general Sherwood numbers and an increasing behavior in the local nanoparticle Sherwood number. Treating stroke or restoring brain function after stroke remains challenging for clinicians[1,2].Researchers have largely focused on developing neuroprotective strategies and translating these discoveries from rodent experiments to the clinical setting;however,these have been typified by several failures[2].It is known that astrocytes play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke[3,4].They are activated in response to stimuli arising from injury,characterized by drastic changes to their morphology and function-associated gene *** astrocytes exacerbate secondary neurodegeneration(repair of nervous tissue by the generation of new neurons,glial cells,axons,myelin,or synapses)[5]as well as provide neuroprotection during CNS pathologies[6].It is worth noting that myelin-related neurite growth inhibitors induce the suppression of axon regeneration after stroke[7].

Application of Polygonum minus Extract in Enhancing Drought Tolerance in Maize by Regulating Osmotic and Antioxidant System

Drought stress is a major factor affecting plant growth and crop yield *** extracts as natural biostimulants hold great potential to strengthen plants to overcome drought *** explore the effect of Polygonum minus extract(PME)in enhancing drought tolerance in plants,a study was set up in a glasshouse environment using 10 different treatment *** foliar application were designed in CRD and effects were closely observed related to the growth,physiology,and antioxidant system changes in maize(Zea mays L.)under well-watered and drought *** seaweed extract(SWE)was used as a *** subjected to drought stress exhibited a significant reduction in fresh weight,dry weight,relative water content(RWC),and soluble sugar,but they stimulated the phenolic,flavonoid,proline,glutathione(GSH),malondialdehyde(mdA)and antioxidant enzyme(catalase,CAT;peroxidase,POD;superoxide dismutase,SOD)*** application of PME improved fresh and dry weight(FW:33.1%~41.4%;DW:48.0%~43.1%),chlorophyll content(Chl b:87.9%~100.76%),soluble sugar(23.6%~49.3%),and soluble protein(48.6%~56.9%)as well as antioxidant enzyme activities(CAT and POD)compared to CK under drought *** decreasing the level of ***,the mitigating effect of PME application with high concentration was more effective than those of *** study reveals that PME could alleviate drought stress by regulating osmoprotectant content and antioxidant defense system and can be used as an economical and environmentally friendly biostimulants for promoting maize growth under drought stress.

Hybrid nanofluids are remarkable functioning liquids that are intended to reduce the energy loss while maximizing the heat *** the involvement of suction and nonlinear thermal radiation effects,this study attempted to explore the energy transmission features of the inclined magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)stagnation flow of CNTs-hybrid nanofluid across the nonlinear permeable stretching or shrinking *** work also included some noteworthy features like chemical reactions,variable molecular diffusivity,quadratic convection,viscous dissipation,velocity slip and heat omission *** appropriate similarity components,the model equations were modified to ODEs and computed by using the HAM *** impact of various relevant flow characteristics on movement,heat and concentration profiles was investigated and plotted on a *** various model factors,the significance of drag friction,heat and mass transfer rate were also computed in tabular and graphical *** leads to the conclusion that such factors have a considerable impact on the dynamics of fluid as well as other engineering measurements of ***,viscous forces are dominated by increasing the values ofλ_(p),δ_(m)andδ_(q),and as a result,F(ξ)accelerates while the opposite trend is observed for M andφ.The drag friction is boosted by the augmentation M,λ_(p)andφ,but the rate of heat transfer *** to our findings,hybrid nanoliquid effects dominate that of ordinary nanofluid in terms of F(ξ),Θ(ξ)andφ(ξ)*** HAM and the numerical technique(shooting method)were found to be in good agreement.
