Effects of Tinospora tuberculata leaf methanol extract on seedling growth of rice and associated weed species in hydroponic culture

The study was conducted to evaluate the responses of rice and rice weed seedlings （barnyardgrass and weedy rice） at the three-leaf stage toTinospora tuberculata leaf methanol extract （3.12, 6.25 and 12.5 g L–1） under hydroponic culture. It shows that the leaf methanol extract had various degrees effects depending on target plant species and each tested index （biomass, root length, shoot length, transpiration volume, chlorophyla, chlorophylb and carotenoid contents）. The effec-tive concentration of the leaf extract capable of reducing 50% of rice growth was higher than those of target weed species. Moreover, the root length was more tolerant to leaf methanol extract in comparison to the other plant parameters measured. A greater reduction was observed in chlorophyla content compared to chlorophylb and carotenoid. The results revealed that the reduction of transpiration volume closely coincided with the magnitude of growth inhibition of tested plants. Ultra-fast liquid chromatography analysis revealed 11 of 32 peaks in chemical proifle, including benzoic acid, caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, isoorientin, isovitexin, orientin,p-anisic acid, syringic acid,trans-cinnamic acid,trans-ferulic acid, and vitexin have the same retention time with those peaks of the extract. The amount of compounds was present in the range of between 4817 and 115.5 mg kg–1 dry weight （DW）. The concentration-response bioassay of al 11 individual compounds and their equimolar mixture against the seeds of barnyardgrass revealed their contribution in the alelopahic activity ofT. tuberculata leaf extract. The examined compounds and their combination exhibited various degrees of growth inhibitory effects on the early growth of barnyardgrass. Therefore, the speciifc number, concentration, combination and inhibitory activity of bioactive compounds leads to alelopathy activity ofT. tuberculata leaves which could be employable directly as a natural herbicide and its growth inhibitor compounds can be used

Solving Multi-Objective Linear Programming Problem by Statistical Averaging Method with the Help of Fuzzy Programming Method

A multi-objective linear programming problem is made from fuzzy linear programming problem. It is due the fact that it is used fuzzy programming method during the solution. The Multi objective linear programming problem can be converted into the single objective function by various methods as Chandra Sen’s method, weighted sum method, ranking function method, statistical averaging method. In this paper, Chandra Sen’s method and statistical averaging method both are used here for making single objective function from multi-objective function. Two multi-objective programming problems are solved to verify the result. One is numerical example and the other is real life example. Then the problems are solved by ordinary simplex method and fuzzy programming method. It can be seen that fuzzy programming method gives better optimal values than the ordinary simplex method.

Solving Fuzzy Multi-Objective Linear Programming Problem by Applying Statistical Method

In this paper, the statistical averaging method and the new statistical averaging methods have been used to solve the fuzzy multi-objective linear programming problems. These methods have been applied to form a single objective function from the fuzzy multi-objective linear programming problems. At first, a numerical example of solving fuzzy multi-objective linear programming problem has been provided to validate the maximum risk reduction by the proposed method. The proposed method has been applied to assess the risk of damage due to natural calamities like flood, cyclone, sidor, and storms at the coastal areas in Bangladesh. The proposed method of solving the fuzzy multi-objective linear programming problems by the statistical method has been compared with the Chandra Sen’s method. The numerical results show that the proposed method maximizes the risk reduction capacity better than Chandra Sen’s method.

Bright, periodic, compacton and bell-shape soliton solutions of the extended QZK and (3+1)-dimensional ZK equations

The(3+1)-dimensional Zakharov–Kuznetsov(ZK) and the new extended quantum ZK equations are functional to decipher the dense quantum plasma, ion-acoustic waves, electron thermal energy,ion plasma, quantum acoustic waves, and quantum Langmuir waves. The enhanced modified simple equation(EMSE) method is a substantial approach to determine competent solutions and in this article, we have constructed standard, illustrative, rich structured and further comprehensive soliton solutions via this method. The solutions are ascertained as the integration of exponential, hyperbolic,trigonometric and rational functions and formulate the bright solitons, periodic, compacton, bellshape, parabolic shape, singular periodic, plane shape and some new type of solitons. It is worth noting that the wave profile varies as the physical and subsidiary parameters change. The standard and advanced soliton solutions may be useful to assist in describing the physical phenomena previously mentioned. To open out the inward structure of the tangible incidents, we have portrayed the three-dimensional, contour plot, and two-dimensional graphs for different parametric values. The attained results demonstrate the EMSE technique for extracting soliton solutions to nonlinear evolution equations is efficient, compatible and reliable in nonlinear science and engineering.

对孟加拉国丘陵地带Mro部落经营的桔园与灌木林35%和55%两种坡地土壤物理性质进行了比较与评价。每一块用地内挖掘3个土壤剖面采集不同深度(0-5cm,5-15cm and 15-30cm)的土壤样品,测定土壤水分、有机质含量和土壤密度。最大持水量、田间持水量、干或湿土壤容重和土壤孔隙度的测定仅限于表层土壤。两种坡地桔园3个深度的土壤水分含量均显著高于灌木林地相同深度的土壤水分。桔园在55%坡地内土壤有机质含量低于林地含量值,而在35%坡地内的含量值则高于林地值。两块样地内上述两项测定值均在表层土壤中最高,且随土层深度的增加而降低。与灌木林地比较,桔园地表层土壤最大持水量、孔隙度和3个不同深度的土壤密度均较低。两块用地内不同坡地的表层土田间持水量有所差异,且桔园地干或湿表层土壤容重高于林地内的数值。表5参23。

Engineered chitosan for improved 3D tissue growth through Paxillin-FAK-ERK activation

Scaffold engineering has attracted significant attention for three-dimensional(3D)growth,prolifer-ation and differentiation of stem cells in *** available scaffolds suffer from issues such as poor ability for cell adhesion,migration and *** paper addresses these issues with 3D porous chitosan scaffold,fabricated and functionalized with cysteine-terminated Arg-Gly-Asp(Cys-RGD)tri-peptide on their *** study reveals that the compressive moduli of the scaffold is independent to RGD functionalization but shows dependence on the applied freezing temperature(TM)during the fabrication *** low freezing TM(-80℃)produces scaffold with high compressive moduli(14.64±1.38 kPa)and high TM(-30℃)produces scaffold with low compressive moduli(5.6±0.38 kPa).The Cys-RGD functionalized scaffolds lead to significant improvements in adhesion(150%)and proliferation(300%)of human mesenchymal stem cell(hMSC).The RGD-integrin coupling activates the focal adhesion signaling(Paxillin-FAK ERK)path-ways,as confirmed by the expression of p-Paxillin,p-FAK and p-ERK protein,and results in the observed improvement of cell adhesion and *** proliferation of hMSC on RGD func-tionalized surface was evaluated with scanning electron microscopy imaging and distribution though pore was confirmed by histochemistry of transversely sectioned *** hMSC adhe-sion and proliferation in scaffold with high compressive moduli showed a constant enhancement(with a slope value 9.97)of compressive strength throughout the experimental period of 28 *** improved cell adhesion and proliferation with RGD functionalized chitosan scaffold,together with their mechanical stability,will enable new interesting avenues for 3D cell growth and differen-tiation in numerous applications including regenerative tissue implants.

Photocatalytic Degradation of Oxytetracycline Dihydrate from Aqueous Solution Using Nano ZnO and ***3 (x = 3%, 18%, 33% and 48%)

Traditional wastewater mostly contains pharmaceutical ingredients. Therefore, the wastewater must be completely free from antibiotics before its release into the environment. In the present study, photocatalytic degradation was done to investigate the removal efficiency of Oxytetracycline Dihydrate (OTC) using ZnO, ZnO/3%BaTiO3 (3 BZ), ZnO/18%BaTiO3 (18 BZ), ZnO/ 33%BaTiO3 (33 BZ) and ZnO/48%BaTiO3 (48 BZ) under UV light. After the exposure time of 420 min, about 99.57% and 97.87% of OTC was degraded using ZnO and 3 BZ respectively. Further, increasing the amount of BaTiO3 in ZnO prolongs the degradation time. Therefore, faster efficiency was found using ZnO nanoparticles. The observed reaction rate constant using ZnO was 0.00933 min-1 which decreased to 0.00532 min-1 using 48 BZ, indicating the decrease of reaction rate for increasing the amount of BaTiO3. Hence, the use of ZnO photocatalyst is anticipated to be a promising technique for the photocatalytic degradation of contaminated wastewater with oxytetracycline antibiotics using UV light.

Optimized Design and Analysis of Single-Phase and Three-Phase Inverters for Efficient Power Conversion: A Comparative Study

A large amount of switching loss occurs in the inverter. From this point of view, an inverter design should be optimized for which size and cost will be minimum along with increasing efficiency. The main aim of this paper is the analysis and development of single-phase and three-phase inverter to design with MOSFET and IGBT as power elements by sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) technique using MATLAB Simulink software and compare their difference with the practical inverter. This work proposes different multilevel stages for the cascaded H-Bridge inverter to enhance the output voltages. Then compare their performance, harmonic distortion, and frequency spectrum. The hardware of an inverter circuit has been developed using the SG3524 microcontroller. The main goal of this design is to generate a sine wave with fewer harmonics, while keeping the cost and complexity of the circuit low. The designed inverter has undergone testing with different AC loads and is primarily intended for low-power applications, as lamps, fans, and chargers. This design aims to provide a reliable and efficient inverter solution for these specific applications.

The tensile properties of Sn-9Zn-xAg-ySb;{(x, y) = (0.2, 0.6), (0.2, 0.8), (0.6, 0.2), (0.8, 0.2)} lead-free solders were investigated. All the test samples were annealed at 150°C for 1 hour. The tests are carried out at room temperature at the strain rate of 4.17 × 10-3 s-1, 20.85 × 10-3 s-1, and 208.5 × 10-3 s-1. It is seen that the tensile strength increases and the ductility decrease with increasing the strain rate over the investigated range. From the strain rate change test results, the strain sensitivity values are found in the range of 0.0831 to 0.1455 due to the addition of different alloying elements.

The Potential for Homestead Pond Polyculture of Tilapia and Carps in Coastal Bangladesh

A fishers’women-led Participatory Action Research(PAR)was conducted in 30 homestead ponds to assess the potential for polyculture of Tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus)and major carps Rohu(Labeo rohita)and Catla(Catla catla)in two coastal fishing villages of *** treatments,namely T1(Tilapia 200 fish per decimal;1 decimal=40 m^2),T2(Tilapia 200+Rohu 32+Catla 8 fish per decimal)and T3(Tilapia 200+Rohu 8+Catla 32 fish per decimal),each with 5 replicates,were tried in Hossainpur and Anipara *** commercial Mega-feed was applied to the ponds twice daily at an initial rate of 10%body weight(bw)/day of Tilapia down to 4%bw/day throughout the culture *** water quality parameters of ponds including transparency,salinity and dissolved oxygen significantly varied among treatments except temperature and pH and remained within optimum range for carp polyculture except *** survival rate,harvesting weight and yield of Tilapia were significantly highest in T1(85.63±05%,258.59±18.76 g&11073±805 kg/ha,respectively)in Anipara and lowest in T3(75.63±0.37%,136.97±10.63 g&5180±406 kg/ha,respectively)in *** gross fish production was the significantly highest in T1(11354±806 kg/ha)of Anipara and lowest in T1(6325±227 kg/ha)of ***,the highest net return(866,627±84874 BDT/ha)was found in T1 of Anipara and lowest in T3(279,389±46104 BDT/ha)of Hossainpur with a significantly higher benefit-cost ratio(BCR)obtained in T1(3.26±0.20)for Tilapia and lower in T3(1.58±0.10)for polyculture Tilapia and carp of ***,it may be concluded that Tilapia production in small homestead coastal ponds has a higher potential than its mix with carps in polyculture for generating food and supplemental income opportunity for coastal fishers’women in Bangladesh.
