This research investigated the water qualities and distribution of heavy metals concentration in rain, river, ground and supply waters, providing a baseline in Dhaka Urban, Bangladesh, against which future changes can be assessed. The water sample was collected in the Dhaka central zone, from a site located in the center of the Bengal Delta plain between 23䓨'N - 23䓶'N latitude and 90䓔'E - 90䓟'E longitude which is affected by environmental pollution for high traffic, industrialization and because of its rapid urbanization. The water samples were analyzed for heavy metals by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass-Spectrometry (ICP-MS), major ions by Ion-Chromatography (IC), water tracer (δ18O and δD) by Mass-Spectrometry (MS), following the standard techniques. Elevated EC and chloride (Cl-) are the markers of wastewater, providing an indication of impacts in the Buriganga River water. The relative concentrations of major ions were presented in the form of Piper and Stiff Diagram. The color maps were constructed to present ions distribution over the areas. The stream reaches directly in Buriganga River from leather industries which may reflect the naturally low dissolved oxygen (DO) 0.3 - 3.5 (mg/L), where aquatic life can’t survive. Uranium contents U238 (0.1 - 2.7 μg/L) are not exceeding the WHO guideline level of 30 μg·L-1. Significant portion of Cs133 (0.05 - 0.32 μg/L), Se (0.03 - 0.12 μg/L), B (50 - 2986 μg/L) and Cr (0.55 - 18.59 μg/L), could be increased in Buriganga River areas by the effect of local sources like leather industry. Zn (10 - 1466 μg/L) in the Dhaka Rain and Pb (4 - 6 μg/L) in Dhaka Water occur mainly in industrial and the high traffic areas, respectively. The isotopic (δ18O/δD) distributions have been evaluated for understanding of contaminant sources in groundwater and wastewater recharge from Buriganga River to adjacent depleted groundwater system. An integrated framework for assessing renewable-energy supply chains using multicriteria decision-making:a study on Bangladesh

The depletion in non-renewable energy sources and a fast-growing population in Bangladesh are exacerbating the already existing energy scarcity,highlighting the need for an efficient and robust renewable-energy supply *** primary goal of this study is to evaluate the most optimized renewable-energy supply chain based on natural resource availability and government policies of *** the present study,four renewable energy resources,including solar,biomass,wind and hydropower,are studied and nine subcriteria are defined under four primary criteria for each supply *** for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)and VIseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje(VIKOR)are multicriteria decision-making approaches used in this study to compare and choose the best renewable-energy supply *** relative significance of four supply-chain criteria for primary renewable energy in this study,namely energy procurement,production,operations and maintenance costs,and social and environmental impact,is gathered via a *** results of this research,supported by a comprehensive sensitivity analysis,indicate that hydropower is the best renewable-energy supply chain,followed by wind as a compromise solution,biomass and *** study also demonstrates that no energy source can satisfy all supply-chain criteria alone;each resource is better for a specific criterion-solar is better for procurement,hydropower is significant for production and wind is remarkable for operations and social ***,to maximize output,renewable energy sources must be *** Bangladesh’s perspective,for the first time,by using TOPSIS and VIKOR together,this study offers significant insights to establish an efficient and sustainable renewable-energy supply chain for practitioners,academics and policymakers.

背景在这项研究中,我们试图确定Ortho-Bridge System（OBS）髓内钉固定术在治疗前臂骨折中的疗效。这项技术已被证明成功地治疗了身体长骨的骨折:胫骨、腓骨、股骨和肱骨。它在治疗前臂骨折方面的功效仍然存在争议,因为更多的骨科医生倾向于使用钉板系统治疗尺桡骨骨折方法我们调查了一组42名患有桡骨或尺骨骨折的患者。他们使用髓内钉技术进行治疗,并随访直至愈合。然后使用Cooney评分标准评估愈合情况。结果手术时间25-76分钟,平均51分钟。所有病例均随访10～16个月,平均随访13个月。在所有病例受试者中都有显著的骨愈合,在4到8个月之间变化,平均愈合时间为6个月。根据Cooney评分前臂疗效标准评价这些结果,我们可以推断结果38例为优,3例为良。结论Ortho-bridge System髓内钉固定技术已被证明在治疗前臂桡骨和尺骨骨折方面具有很高的疗效。

Design of a High-Gain 2 × 1 Array Antenna for S-Band Applications

Antennas are an indispensable element in wireless networks. For long-distance wireless communication, antenna gains need to be very strong (highly directive) because the signal from the antenna loses a lot of strength as it travels over long distances. This is true in the military with missile, radar, and satellite systems, etc. Antenna arrays are commonly employed to focus electromagnetic waves in a certain direction that cannot be achieved perfectly with a single-element antenna. The goal of this study is to design a rectangular microstrip high-gain 2 × 1 array antenna using ADS Momentum. This microstrip patch array design makes use of the RT-DUROID 5880 as a substrate with a dielectric constant of 2.2, substrate height of 1.588 mm, and tangent loss of 0.001. To achieve efficient gain and return loss characteristics for the proposed array antenna, RT-Duroid is a good choice of dielectric material. The designed array antenna is made up of two rectangular patches, which have a resonance frequency of 3.3 GHz. These rectangular patches are excited by microstrip feed lines with 13 mm lengths and 4.8 mm widths. The impedance of the patches is perfectly matched by these transmission lines, which helps to get better antenna characteristics. At a resonance frequency of 3.3 GHz, the suggested antenna array has a directivity of 10.50 dB and a maximum gain of 9.90 dB in the S-band. The S parameters, 3D radiation pattern, directivity, gain, and efficiency of the constructed array antenna are all available in ADS Momentum.

Measuring the Association of Overweight and Obesity with Human Disease and Other Factors in Bangladesh

Overweight and obesity in people are epidemic in North America and internationally. In the United States, the number of overweight children and adolescents has doubled in the last two to three decades, and similar increasing rates are being observed worldwide, including developing countries as Bangladesh where an increase in Westernization of behavioral and dietary lifestyles is evident. Human diseases associated with overweight and obesity are similar in children as in the adult population. The main purpose of this study was to examine the association between overweight and obesity with human disease and other factors in Bangladesh. We have attempted to estimate the relationship between associated variables by using the Pearson Chi-Square test. It also showed how important an individual variable is by itself. The study also employed a statistical technique namely, logistic regression analysis which has been used to find out the association of overweight and obesity with human disease and other factors. Drilling mud is a major concerning element due to its high operational and economic impact on the drilling *** additives are introduced to enhance the efficiency of drilling fluid,but none of them could perfectly achieve their proposed efficacy in drilling *** conceived several nanoparticles(NPs)in drilling fluid to dissolve this *** a singular instance,commercial tin oxide(SnO_(2))nanoparticles were utilized to analyze the influence of NPs on the rheological and filtration properties of inorganic KCl salt-based drilling ***,the effect of SnO_(2) NPs on mud lubricity characteristics is not studied ***,due to the hazardous behavior of KCl,its use is very ***,we consider a KCl-free bentonite water-based mud to avoid any environmental damages from drilling *** also use SnO_(2) NPs that is synthesized in our laboratory by co-precipitation *** addition to rheological and filtration properties,we also investigate the effect of NPs on mud's lubricity that was not considered in the previous *** fluid properties are measured at five different NPs concentrations of 0.10,0.25,0.50,0.75&1.0 wt%,and at six different temperatures of 30,40,50,60,70,and 80°C,while filtration properties are measured using API low-pressure low temperature(LPLT)*** addition of 0.1 wt%SnO_(2) NPs increases plastic viscosity,yield point,10 s gel strength,and 10 min gel strength by 10%,63%,20%,and 14%,*** maximum reduction in lubricity coefficient is found to be 14%at NPs concentration of 1.0 wt%.The NPs concentration of 0.5 wt%yielded a reduction in fluid loss and mud cake thickness by 8.1%and 34%,*** study suggests that SnO_(2) NPs can be employed as an additive to improve the rheology,lubricity,and filtration properties of KCl-free bentonite water-based drilling mud.

Smart grid constrained optimal control is a complex issue due to the constant growth of grid complexity and the large volume of data available as input to smart device *** this context,traditional centralized control paradigms may suffer in terms of the timeliness of optimization results due to the volume of data to be processed and the delayed asynchronous nature of the data *** address these limits of centralized control,this paper presents a coordinated,distributed algorithm based on distributed,local controllers and a central coordinator for exchanging summarized global state *** proposed model for exchanging global state information is resistant to fluctuations caused by the inherent interdependence between local controllers,and is robust to delays in information *** addition,the algorithm features iterative refinement of local state estimations that is able to improve local controller ability to operate within network *** of the proposed coordinated,distributed algorithm through simulation shows its effectiveness in optimizing a global goal within a complex distribution system operating under constraints,while ensuring network operation stability under varying levels of information exchange delay,and with a range of network sizes.
