Effect of river plume on phytoplankton community structure in Zhujiang River estuary

To examine the phytoplankton assemblages and the effect of diluted waters on them,a research cruise was conducted from July 19 to August 7,2015 in the Zhujiang(Pearl)River estuary in the northern South China Sea(21°N–23.5°N,111°E–117°E).Samples were collected from 65 stations including one for time-series sampling.A total of 212 phytoplankton taxa were identified from 61 genera belonging to 4 *** them,122 species identified from 42 genera of Bacillariophyta and 83 species from 15 genera of ***-forming diatoms dominated the phytoplankton community where Pseudonitzschia delicatissima,Guinardia striata,Thalassionema nitzschioides,and *** comprised about 52%of the total ***,higher cell abundances concentrated on both sides of the estuary,because of low salinity and high nutrients brought by diluted *** addition,Canonical Correspondence Analysis revealed that salinity and dissolved inorganic nitrogen shaped the species composition in the study ***,the Jaccard similarity index showed prevailing high similarity in the distribution of species in low-salinity diluted waters,and the Bray-Curtis similarity depicted distinguished grouping for phytoplankton assemblages along the salinity ***,phytoplankton diel vertical cycles showed maximum abundance occurred at 2:00 am,which was mainly contributed by benthic phytoplankton species Pseudo-nitzschia *** ***.

The secondary structure of a protein is critical for establishing a link between the protein primary and tertiary *** this reason,it is important to design methods for accurate protein secondary structure *** of the existing computational techniques for protein structural and functional prediction are based onmachine learning with *** deep learning architectures have already been applied to tackle protein secondary structure prediction *** this study,deep learning based models,i.e.,convolutional neural network and long short-term memory for protein secondary structure prediction were *** input to proposed models is amino acid sequences which were derived from CulledPDB *** tuning with cross validation was employed to attain best parameters for the proposed *** proposed models enables effective processing of amino acids and attain approximately 87.05%and 87.47%Q3 accuracy of protein secondary structure prediction for convolutional neural network and long short-term memory models,respectively.

Composition of Human Atheroma Collected from Coronary Arteries during Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery

Coronary arteries supply blood and nutrients to the heart. Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) develops by narrowing of the arteries. Once the inner walls of the arteries are damaged, fatty deposits made of cells, connective tissue elements, lipids and debris decrease their lumens which block blood flow to distal tissues. This process is called arteriosclerosis. This study intends to detect the composition of human coronary atheroma collected from the arteries during bypass surgeries in Bangladesh. It shows that all lesions are present in the advanced types, namely, type 4, 5 and 6. Infrequently thrombotic materials and necrotic debris were found in type 6 plaque. The mean length of plaque was 3.36 ± 1.71 cm and mean weight was 0.13 ± 0.12 gm. Insufficient lipid was obtained from each atheroma. Few raised areas were lipid laden whereas most of the strands were fibrous. Biochemical assessment was formidable. The cholesterol composition of coronary plaque ranged between 0.20% - 9.83% with mean 3.06% ± 2.09% and total fatty acids ranged between 0.47% - 3.04% with mean 1.31% ± 0.63%. The most abundant fatty acid was oleic acid (unsaturated) closely followed by palmitic acid (saturated). The mean calcium content was 41,180.20 ± 34,918.59 ppm and ranged from 1148.00 - 140,311.00 ppm or, 0.115% - 14.031%. This study was undertaken to detect the composition of human coronary atheroma in Bangladesh which revealed that it depended upon the type of lesion.

The(2+1)-dimensional interaction of a Riemann wave propagating along the y-axis with a long wave along the x-axis is described by the space-time fractional Calogero-Degasperis(CD)and fractional poten-tial Kadomstev-Petviashvili(PKP)*** can be modeled according to the Hamiltonian structure,the lax pair with the non-isospectral problem,and the pain level *** proposed equations are widely used in beachfront ocean and coastal engineering to describe the propagation of shallow-water waves,demonstrate the propagation of waves in dissipative and nonlinear media,and reveal the propagation of waves in dissipative and nonlinear *** this paper,we have established further exact solutions to the nonlinear fractional partial differential equation(NLFPDEs),namely the space-time fractional CD and fractional PKP equations using the modified Rieman-Liouville fractional derivative of Jumarie through the two variable(G/G,1/G)-expansion *** far as trigonometric,hyperbolic,and rational function so-lutions containing parameters are concerned,solutions are acquired when unique characteristics are as-signed to the ***,the solitary wave solutions are generated from the solutions of the traveling *** is important to observe that this method is a realistic,convenient,well-organized,and ground-breaking strategy for solving various types of NLFPDEs.

A Critical Analysis of Machine Learning and Deep Learning Methods for Cervical Cancer Screening

Cervical cancer is a serious public health issue worldwide, and early identification is crucial for better patient outcomes. Recent study has investigated how ML and DL approaches may be used to increase the accuracy of vagina tests. In this piece, we conducted a thorough review of 50 research studies that applied these techniques. Our investigation compared the outcomes to well-known screening techniques and concentrated on the datasets used and performance measurements reported. According to the research, convolutional neural networks and other deep learning approaches have potential for lowering false positives and boosting screening precision. Although several research used small sample sizes or constrained datasets, this raises questions about how applicable the findings are. This paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the articles that were chosen, as well as prospective topics for future research, to further the application of ml and dl in cervical cancer screening. The development of cervical cancer screening technologies that are more precise, accessible, and can lead to better public health outcomes is significantly affected by these findings.

Hydro-geochemical evaluation of groundwater with studies on water quality index and suitability for drinking in Sagardari,Jashore

Sagardari union is facing groundwater crisis because of contaminations from agriculture and urban sewage,which bring a considerable change in water *** view of this,hydro-chemical analyses were undertaken on 35 groundwater samples and the following hydro-geochemical parameters,pH,total dissolved solids(TDS),total hardness(TH),electrical conductivity(EC),cations and anions,were *** the analytical results,it is found that pH value was lower than WHO drinking water standard and the middledownstream portions of the investigation region show higher *** piper plot indicates that the groundwater in Sagardari falls in the categories of NaClHCO3 hydro-chemical *** TH in groundwater was detected,but still in an acceptable *** addition,salinity and arsenic ratio are higher and moderately higher,*** spatial distribution of Groundwater Quality Index(GWQI)was determined by geo-statistical modelling of Sagardari *** study provides information and supports the administration which to make better groundwater utilization and quality control in the Sagardari union.

The use of bilateral internal thoracic arteries to treat coronary artery disease is very less despite of improved long-term survival. In this case report, a patient presented with TVD has been managed with anaortic off-pump complete arterial revascularization (OPCABG) by using composite LIMA RIMA Y Sequential 5 grafts to achieve complete arterial revascularization successfully. This type of operative procedure is technically difficult in a resource poor country like Bangladesh. However, this has been done by a group of young cardiac surgeon. During follow up, the patient is in a good condition.

Cold-induced sweetening(CIS),the undesirable sugar accumulation in cold-stored potato(Solanum tuberosum L.)tubers,is a severe postharvest issue in the potato processing *** the process of sucrose hydrolysis by vacuolar invertase during potato CIS is well understood,there is limited knowledge about the transportation of sucrose from the cytosol to the vacuole during postharvest cold ***,we report that among the three potato tonoplast sugar transporters(TSTs),StTST1 exhibits the highest expression in tubers during postharvest cold *** localization analysis demonstrates that StTST1 is a tonoplast-localized ***1 knockdown decreases reducing sugar accumulation in tubers during low-temperature *** to wild-type,potato chips produced from StTST1-silenced tubers displayed significantly lower acrylamide levels and lighter color after cold *** analysis manifests that suppression of StTST1 promotes starch synthesis and inhibits starch degradation in cold-stored *** further establish that the increased sucrose content in the StTST1-silenced tubers might cause a decrease in the ABA content,thereby inhibiting the ABA-signaling *** demonstrate that the down-regulation ofβ-amylase StBAM1 in StTST1-silenced tubers might be directly controlled by ABA-responsive element-binding proteins(AREBs).Altogether,we have shown that StTST1 plays a critical role in sugar accumulation and starchmetabolism regulation during postharvest cold ***,our findings provide a newstrategy to improve the frying quality of cold-stored tubers and reduce the acrylamide content in potato chips.

Effect of Elastane on Physical Properties of 1×1 Knit Rib Fabrics

Because of wearing and washing the knit rib fabrics are highly vulnerable to lose their dimensional *** work investigated the physical properties of 1×1 knit rib fabrics with or without *** fabrics made from 100%cotton yarn were compared with the fabrics made from cotton/elastane(95%/5%)blended yarns by Lisky circular knitting ***,shrinkage,spirality,and bursting strength were tested by the ICI pilling test box,Wascator,and TruBurst machine to demonstrate the effect of elastane on fabric *** results showed that elastane has a noteworthy impact on the physical properties of 1×1 knit rib fabrics which can make the fabrics more durable and dimensionally stable in practice.

A Study on Heat Transfer Enhancement through Various Nanofluids in a Square Cavity with Localized Heating

A two-dimensional(2D)laminar flow of nanofluids confined within a square cavity having localized heat source at the bottom wall has been *** governing Navier–Stokes and energy equations have been non dimensionalized using the appropriate non dimensional variables and then numerically solved using finite volume *** flow was controlled by a range of parameters such as Rayleigh number,length of heat source and nanoparticle volume *** numerical results are represented in terms of isotherms,streamlines,velocity and temperature distribution as well as the local and average rate of heat transfer.A comparative study has been conducted for two different base fluids,ethylene glycol and water as well as for two different solids Cu and Al_(2)O_(3).It is found that the ethylene glycol-based nanofluid is superior to the water-based nanofluid for heat transfer enhancement.
