A suitable statistical model has been explored for the investors as well as the researchers to resolve the future estimation of share volume by using daily stock volume data from Dhaka Stock Exchange （DSE）. The daily volume data from the June 1, 2004 to April 19, 2010 were retrieved from DSE website as a secondary data source. The Maximum Likelihood---Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity （ARCH）（Marquardt） method has been applied to construct the models for the stock volume data of DSE by using statistical package software E-Views of verson-5. First of all, an ＂Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average （ARIMA） model＂ was fitted and observed that heteroscedastic volatilities were still present there. To eliminate this dilemma, ARCH class of volatility models has been used and finally the ARIMA with EGARCH model has been explored. Findings of this study have recognized that ARIMA with EGARCH model implies low mean square error, low mean absolute error, low bias proportion, and low variance proportion for share volume data with comparing to other models. Hence, the modelling concept established in this study would be a decisive study for the investors as well as the researchers.

This paper examines the impact of the portfolios of Dhaka Stock Exchange （DSE） with corresponding to the selective macro and micro economic indicators of Bangladesh. The microeconomic indicators are Invested Market Capital （1MC）（US$） and the number of Total Enlisted Company （TEC） which have direct and immediate impact on the Stock Turnover Ratio （STR） of DSE and the macroeconomic indicators are Gross Domestic Product （GDP）, Gross National Income （GNI）, Gross Saving （GS）, Gross Inflation （GI）, Deposit Interest Rate （DIR）, and Gross Foreign Investment （GFI） which have indirect and long run impact on DSE portfolios. To investigate the direct impact on DSE＇s turnover ratio, the Cobb-Douglas production function is applied and to investigate the indirect and long run impact, multiple linear regression models are also applied. The estimated results are diagnosed using magnitudes of derivatives, gradient and Wald＇s coefficient restriction with respect to the macro and micro economic indicators.

In this study, the method of lines (MOLs) with higher order central difference approximation method coupled with the classical fourth order Runge-Kutta (RK(4,4)) method is used in solving shallow water equations (SWEs) in Cartesian coordinates to foresee water levels associated with a storm accurately along the coast of Bangladesh. In doing so, the partial derivatives of the SWEs with respect to the space variables were discretized with 5-point central difference, as a test case, to obtain a system of ordinary differential equations with time as an independent variable for every spatial grid point, which with initial conditions were solved by the RK(4,4) method. The complex land-sea interface and bottom topographic details were incorporated closely using nested schemes. The coastal and island boundaries were rectangularized through proper stair step representation, and the storing positions of the scalar and momentum variables were specified according to the rules of structured C-grid. A stable tidal regime was made over the model domain considering the effect of the major tidal constituent, M2 along the southern open boundary of the outermost parent scheme. The Meghna River fresh water discharge was taken into account for the inner most child scheme. To take into account the dynamic interaction of tide and surge, the generated tidal regime was introduced as the initial state of the sea, and the surge was then made to come over it through computer simulation. Numerical experiments were performed with the cyclone April 1991 to simulate water levels due to tide, surge, and their interaction at different stations along the coast of Bangladesh. Our computed results were found to compare reasonable well with the limited observed data obtained from Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) and were found to be better in comparison with the results obtained through the regular finite difference method and the 3-point central difference MOLs coupled with the RK(4,

Effectively managing complex logistics data is essential for development sustainability and growth,especially in optimizing distribution *** article addresses the limitations of current logistics path optimization methods,such as inefficiencies and high operational *** overcome these drawbacks,we introduce the Hybrid Firefly-Spotted Hyena Optimization(HFSHO)algorithm,a novel approach that combines the rapid exploration and global search abilities of the Firefly Algorithm(FO)with the localized search and region-exploitation skills of the Spotted Hyena Optimization Algorithm(SHO).HFSHO aims to improve logistics path optimization and reduce operational *** algorithm’s effectiveness is systematically assessed through rigorous comparative analyses with established algorithms like the Ant Colony Algorithm(ACO),Cuckoo Search Algorithm(CSA)and Jaya Algo-rithm(JA).The evaluation also employs benchmarking methodologies using standardized function sets covering diverse objective functions,including Schwefel’s,Rastrigin,Ackley,Sphere and the ZDT and DTLZ Function *** outperforms these algorithms,achieving a minimum path distance of 546 units,highlighting its prowess in logistics path *** comprehensive evaluation authenticates HFSHO’s exceptional performance across various logistic optimization *** findings emphasize the critical significance of selecting an appropriate algorithm for logistics path navigation,with HFSHO emerging as an efficient *** the synergistic use of FO and SHO,HFSHO achieves a 15%improvement in convergence,heightened operational efficiency and substantial cost reductions in logistics *** presents a promising solution for optimizing logistics paths,offering logistics planners and decision-makers valuable insights and contributing substantively to sustainable sectoral growth.

In this research the stability of wellbore is evaluated in seven different stress regimes and diverse orientations using FLAC3D *** normalized yielded zone area(NYZA.i.e.,the ratio of surrounding yielded cross-sectional area to initial area of wellbore)is determined for different mud pressures as well as diverse orientations of *** means of MATLAB software the best curve is fitted to the recorded points and then the optimized mud pressure is calculated using these *** optimized orientation is selected considering these *** the mud pressure resulted from this method was compared with the mud pressure obtained from the Mogi-Coulomb criterion and then with the fields *** minimum allowable mud pressure obtained from the NYZA criterion is close to actual data and the value obtained from the Mogi-Coulomb ***,the NYZA is considered to be an appropriate criterion for wellbore stability analysis.

Background: Clinical presentation of intestinal tuberculosis is varied. It is also essential to know the clinical and demographic characteristics of incidentally detected intestinal tuberculosis patient. Objective: The purpose of the present study was to find out the clinic-demographic characteristics of intestinal tuberculosis in clinically and preoperatively unsuspected laparotomies. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was carried out in the Department of Surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Dhaka from March 2002 to March 2004 for a period of two (2) years. All the patients underwent laparotomy presented without any suspicion of pulmonary or intestinal tuberculosis were included as study population. Patients who were without the history of cough, haemoptysis, antitubercular drug therapy were included. Per operative suspicion was raised due to enlarged lymph nodes in mesentery, omental masses, ileocaecal masses, suspicious growth in ileum, omental thickening, perforation suspected by tuberculosis. Biopsy was taken from suspicious lesions. Histopathology was confirmed the tubercular lesion. Results: A total number of 300 patients under laparotomy were recruited for this study of which 38 positive cases were found in the study with a percentage of 12.7%. Maximum affected age group was 21 to 30 years which was 16 (42%) cases. Male was predominant to female which was 28 (73.7%) cases and 10 (26.3%) cases respectively. Low socioeconomic people are affected more (76.3%). Most common presentation in positive cases was acute and sub-acute intestinal obstruction 20 (52.6%) followed by intestinal perforation (26.31%). Conclusion: In conclusion young age male patient is the most commonly affected intestinal tuberculosis which is frequently presented with sub-acute intestinal obstruction among the preoperatively unsuspected laparotomy patients.

background Intestinal perforation and sometimes obstruction in neonates demand diverting stomas which are associated with fluid,electrolytes and nutrient *** establishment of gut continuity is the key to the best outcome,though primary anastomosis is not always *** aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Bishop Koop stoma in establishing early continuity of gut and confirming the function of distal *** Data of patients who underwent Bishop Koop conversion of diverting stoma from July 2016 to June 2018 were reviewed *** and outcome data were recorded and analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Science(SPSS)V.22 *** permission was taken from hospital ethical *** 29 patients were included(16 male and 13 female).Mean age of conversion was 5.8±2.5 months and mean weight was 4.9±*** bowel movement was established in 26 *** patient died of sepsis on sixth postoperative day and one had anastomotic *** was no significant difference with respect to outcome between perforation and obstruction *** Koop stomas were closed after 6 weeks of *** Bishop Koop conversion of temporary stoma was turned out as a good choice for these patients.

Study on Licker-In and Flat Speeds of Carding Machine and Its Effects on Quality of Cotton Spinning Process

Spinning has a significant influence on all textile processes. Combinations of all the capital equipment display the process’ critical condition. By transforming unprocessed fibers into carded sliver and yarn, the carding machine serves a critical role in the textile industry. The carding machine’s licker-in and flat speeds are crucial operational factors that have a big influence on the finished goods’ quality. The purpose of this study is to examine the link between licker-in and flat speeds and how they affect the yarn and carded sliver quality. A thorough experimental examination on a carding machine was carried out to accomplish this. The carded sliver and yarn produced after experimenting with different licker-in and flat speed combinations were assessed for important quality factors including evenness, strength, and flaws. To account for changes in material qualities and machine settings, the study also took into consideration the impact of various fiber kinds and processing circumstances. The findings of the investigation showed a direct relationship between the quality of the carded sliver and yarn and the licker-in and flat speeds. Within a limited range, greater licker-in speeds were shown to increase carding efficiency and decrease fiber tangling. On the other hand, extremely high speeds led to more fiber breakage and neps. Higher flat speeds, on the other hand, helped to enhance fiber alignment, which increased the evenness and strength of the carded sliver and yarn. Additionally, it was discovered that the ideal blend of licker-in and flat rates varied based on the fiber type and processing circumstances. When being carded, various fibers displayed distinctive behaviors that necessitated adjusting the operating settings in order to provide the necessary quality results. The study also determined the crucial speed ratios between the licker-in and flat speeds that reduced fiber breakage and increased the caliber of the finished goods. The results of this

The present study reported the morpho-biochemical evaluation of 15 selected rice genotypes for salt tolerance at the seedling stage. Growth parameters including shoot length, root length, plant biomass, plant turgid weight, plant dry weight along with relative water content were measured after exposure to saline solution （with electrical conductivity value of 12 dS/m）. Genotypes, showing significant differential responses towards salinity in the fields, were assessed through 14 salinity-linked morpho-biochemical attributes, measured at 14 d after exposure of seedling in saline nutrient solution. Relative water content, chlorophyll a/b, peroxidase activity and plant biomass were identified as potential indicators of salt tolerance. Principal component analysis and successive Hierarchical clustering using Euclidean distance revealed that Talmugur, Gheus, Ghunsi, Langalmura, Sabitapalui, and Sholerpona were promising genotypes for further breeding programmes in rice. The maximum Euclidean distance was plotted between Thavallakanan and Talmugur （7.49）, followed by Thavallakanan and Langalmura （6.82）, indicating these combinations may be exploited as parental lines in hybridization programmes to develop salinity tolerant variety.
