Globalization push container terminal grown rapidly in decade. To fulfill the future traffic requirement, this study highlights marginal expansion planning of infrastructure in a container terminal. By using marginal approach, the expansion plan can be determine correctly and economically stage by stage. A mathematical model has generated to calculate the expansion size, expansion time, interval of expansion, expansion cost, and significant of expansion for each infrastructure respectively. It recommended determining the expansion plan for each infrastructure respectively. This is because one of the infrastructures needs to be expanding but the other may not. The generated model was verified with others model and validated with case study to investigate the practicability of the model. The model serves as expansion decision making tools to assist port expansion planners.

In this paper, we study the continuous growth of computer technology and the increasing importance of human-computer interaction. Interactive touch-less is now an undergoing developing technology in real life. Touchless technology introduces a new way of interacting with computers by object tracking method. Nowadays most mobile devices are using touchscreen technology. However, this technology is still not cheap enough to be used in desktop systems. Designing a touchless device such as a mouse or keyboard using a webcam and computer vision techniques can be an alternative way of touch screen technology. Recent trends in technology aim to build highly interactive and easy-to-use applications as a replacement for conventional devices. Such a device is touchless mouse. Its development is completed on the MATLAB platform. The overall objective is to apply image processing techniques from video to track the movement of color which is captured by a webcam and that is converted into mouse movements and operations to control the system. The sub-system which is implemented here would allow a person to control his/her mouse without any input other than the marker movements. We use three fingers (with color) as three color markers (red, green, blue) for completing the activities of a mouse. My first goal was to successfully track the marker color and the second goal was to track the marker position from the acquired image frame for performing the mouse operations. The webcam is used to capture the information on the marker and trigger the associated actions. I use ***. Robot file for performing the mouse operations using the acquired data from the image frame.

Tinospora cordifolia (Wild) Hook, local name: Guduchi/Amrita;English: Indian Tinospora, Hindi: Giloya/Gulancha, belongs to the family of Menispermaceae and is found in abundance in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and China, the plant is a spreading and mounting shrub with a lot twisting branches. T. cordifolia is used in Ayurveda medicinal system and has numerous therapeutic properties. This article summarizes the chemical constituents and pharmacological properties found within the plant. The review will provide a scientific basis of its use in Ayurveda and is an informative database on an ethno-pharmacologically important medicinal plant for future researchers.

The steady magneto hydrodynamic (MHD) boundary layer flow and combined heat and mass transfer of a non-Newtonian fluid over an inclined stretching sheet have been investigated in the present analysis. The effects of the flow parameters on the velocity, temperature, species concentration, local skin friction, local Nusselt number, and Sherwood number are computed, discussed and have been graphically represented in figures and tables for various values of different parameters. The numerical results are carried out for several values of the combined effects of magnetic parameter M, stretching parameter λ, Prandtl number Pr, Eckert number Ec, Schmidt number Sc, Soret number S0, slip parameter A and Casson parameter n on velocity, temperature and concentration profiles and also the skin-friction coefficient ?f?"(0)?local Nusselt number -θ'(0)?and local Sherwood number -ψ'(0)?are discussed and presented in tabular form. The results pertaining to the present study indicate that the velocity profiles decrease as the increase of magnetic field parameter, but reverse trend arises for the effect of Casson parameter and stretching ratio parameter for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. The temperature profiles increase forthe effect of magnetic parameter, Prandtl number and Eckert number in case of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. The concentration profile increases for the effect of Soret number while concentration profile decreases for the increasing values of Schmidt number, magnetic parameter, Prandtl number and Eckert number for both Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. By considering the cooling plate the numerical results for the skin-friction coefficient f?"(0) , local Nusselt number?-θ'(0) and local Sherwood number ?-ψ'(0) are presented in Tables 1-3.

Background: Chronic Heart Failure is a complex clinical conditions affecting patients’ Quality of Life (QoL) globally. Objective: The aim of the study was to identify the factors influencing the quality of life of the chronic heart failure patients. Methods: A descriptive exploratory study was carried out by face-to-face interview with structured standard questionnaire. One hundred and forty two hospitalized chronic heart failure patients were conveniently recruited from National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease and Hospital, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Data were collected from January to February, 2019. Quality of life related factors were identified using Patients’ General Characteristics Questionnaire. QOL of chronic heart failure patients was measured by the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ) and the World Health Organization’s Quality of Life Instrument-Short Version (WHOQOL-BREF). Descriptive statistic was used to describe the samples’ characteristics. Association between Socio-demographic characteristics and QOL of chronic heart failure patients was measured using t-test and one way of ANOVA. Relationship between continuous variables was measured by Pearson correlation test. Results: Findings reveal that mean of the total chronic heart failure related quality of life was 94.16 (SD = 3.20) out of maximum of 105. This high score indicates worsen chronic heart failure patients’ quality of life. The mean score of general quality of life of chronic heart failure patients was calculated as 41.05 (SD = 5.109) out of maximum of 130 which indicates low level of general quality of life of chronic heart failure patients. There is a significant positive correlation found between disease related quality of life and general quality of life of chronic heart failure patients. We demonstrate a broad bandwidth multiwavelength laser based on a bidirectional Lyot filter and a semiconductor optical amplifier with a mechanism of intensity-dependent loss as the flatness agent. A wide bandwidth of a multiwavelength spectrum of 32.9 nm within a 5 dB uniformity is obtained under optimized polarization param- eters. For this case, the number of generated lasing lines is 329 with a fixed wavelength separation of 0.1 nm. The power stability of this multiwavelength laser is less than 1.35 dB within 200 min time frame. This shows that the bidirectional Lyot filter provides an alternative option for multiwavelength generation in laser systems.

At the Genetics and Plant Breeding Laboratory of the Department of Agronomy and Agricultural Extension, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, strawberry in vitro propagation was done. Five Benzylaminopurine (BAP) concentrations were utilized for shoot induction—0.0 mg/L (Control), 0.5 mg/L, 1.0 mg/L, 1.5 mg/L, and 2.0 mg/L and five Indole Buteric Acid (IBA) concentrations—0.0 mg/L(Control), 0.5 mg/L, 1.0 mg/L, 1.5 mg/L, and 2.0 mg/l—were used for the induction of the root. The highest mean amount of shoots (eight) and length of the shoot (3.40 cm) were observed at a concentration of BAP of 0.5 mg/L. Festival also had the highest mean amount of leaves (6) when we used the identical concentration, while RABI-3 and Camarosa did the least well. The IBA of 0.5 mg/L concentration of rooting performed the best across all metrics tested among the five concentrations. The longest (3.3 cm) roots and most roots (7) were likewise obtained from this concentration in Festival. However, RABI-3 and Camarosa performed worse than Festival in the same concentration. Half-strength MS media without IBA concentration showed no response regarding root induction for each of the three cultivars.

Yield Response of Direct Seeded <i>Aus</i>Rice Varieties under Rainfed Condition

Rainfed Aus rice is a popular conventional rice cultivation technique that through appropriate variety selection can accelerate the benefits of the farmer. On this context, an experiment was carried out at the research field of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur1706 from April to August in 2014 to evaluate yield performance of some Aus rice varieties under rainfed condition. The experiment was laid out in a split plot design with three replications. The experiment consisted of two sets of treatments: water regime as irrigated (irrigation when necessary) and rainfed (dependent on rainfall) in the main plot and 15 varieties into sub-plots. It was revealed that yield and yield contributing characters were significantly influenced by water regime, variety and their interaction. The traits like number of effective tillers and non-effective tillers·hill-1, number of filled grains and unfilled grains panicle-1, panicle length, test weight, grain yield and harvest index were higher in irrigated crops compared to rainfed. Considering the performance of yield, the highest grain yield recorded in BRRI dhan27 (irrigated-2.47 t·ha-1 and rainfed-2.26 t·ha-1) followed by BRRI dhan55 (irrigated-1.95 t·ha-1 and rainfed-1.88 t·ha-1), BRRI dhan48 and BRRI dhan43 under both irrigated and rainfed treatment. BRRI dhan27 ranked the top under both irrigated and rainfed conditions, however the relative yield was maximum in BRRI dhan55 (reduction was only 3.59%) followed by Nerica10. Hence, considering the yield stability and absolute yield performance, BRRI dhan27 may be considered favorably cultivable for Aus season in Bangladesh followed by BRRI dhan55, BRRI dhan48 and BRRI dhan43.

Analysis of Optical Properties for Square, Circular and Hexagonal Photonic Crystal Fiber

This paper presents four rings square, circular, and hexagonal photonic crystal fiber (PCF) geometry for analyzing different optical properties in a wavelength ranging from 800 nm to 1600 nm. These three types of geometry have been used for analyzing Effective area, Propagation constant, Confinement loss and Waveguide dispersion. Silica glass is chosen as background material and the cladding region is made of four air hole layers. COMSOL Multiphysics (v.5) software is used to simulate these proposed PCF geometries. From the numerical analysis, it is found that the effective area is small for hexagonal PCF geometry and large for square PCF geometry (11.827 μm2, 10.588 μm2 and 9.405 μm2 for square, circular, and hexagonal PCF geometry respectively). From the analysis, the Confinement loss is approximately zero at wavelength ranges from 800 nm to 1250 nm and approximately zero waveguide dispersion is achieved from 900 nm to 1500 nm for all the three PCF structures. Again, negative dispersion approximately −30.354 ps/(nm⋅km) is achieved for circular PCF structure at the wavelength of 900 nm.
