Teak plantations date back to 1871 in Bangladesh. This study was designed to assess how teak monoculture has impacted the soil properties in Bangladesh. Multiple linear regression and correlation matrices were estimated to evaluate these impacts. The means of soil physicochemical properties were compared across various attributes of the plantations. Older plantations accumulated more organic carbon in the soils than the younger plantations. Excessive removal of litter from the forest floor resulted in reduced levels of N, P, K, and other nutrients in the soils. Since bulk density was continuously decreasing deeper into the soil, the penetration of mineral nutrients into the soil was low. Furthermore, moisture content in the topsoil was significantly lower than that in the bottom layers due to the exposed and dry condition of the forest floor under teak plantations. For improving depleted teak plantation soils, teak could be planted with other tree species rather than just in monocultures. In addition, the forest floor could be enriched with leguminous herbs and shrubs to improve soil health in these plantations.

In order to elucidate the role of antioxidant responses in salinity tolerance in rice genotypes under salt stress, experiments were conducted using four rice varieties, including salt-sensitive BRRI dhan 28 and three salt-tolerant varieties BRRI dhan 47, BINA dhan 8 and BINA dhan 10. Thirty-day-old rice seedlings were transplanted into pots. At the active tillering stage(35 d after transplanting), plants were exposed to different salinity levels(0, 20, 40 and 60 mmol/L NaCl). Salt stress caused a significant reduction in growth for all the rice genotypes. Growth reduction was higher in the salt-sensitive genotype than in the salt-tolerant ones, and BINA dhan 10 showed higher salt tolerance in all measured physiological parameters. The reduction in shoot and root biomass was found to be minimal in BINA dhan 10. Chlorophyll content significantly decreased under salt stress except for BINA dhan 10. Proline content significantly increased in salt-tolerant rice genotypes with increased salt concentration, and the highest proline content was obtained from BINA dhan 10 under salt stress. Catalase and ascorbate peroxidase activities significantly decreased in salt-sensitive genotype whereas significantly increased in salt-tolerant ones with increasing salt concentration. However, salt stress significantly decreased guaiacol peroxidase activity in all the rice genotypes irrespective of salt tolerance. K^+/Na^+ ratio also significantly decreased in shoots and roots of all the rice genotypes. The salt-tolerant genotype BINA dhan 10 maintained higher levels of chlorophyll and proline contents as well as catalase and ascorbate peroxidase activities under salt stress, thus, this might be the underlying mechanism for salt tolerance.

亚洲语系的多语言机器翻译是一项复杂并具有挑战性的任务,它涉及在不同的书写规则、语法结构和文化背景下将文本从一种语言转换为另一种语言。亚洲语言中,如中文、泰米尔语、乌尔都语、旁遮普语和波斯语,都具有各自的特征,对传统的机器翻译系统来说是一项重大挑战。例如,在这些语言中,经常使用复杂的句子结构、惯用语和礼貌用语,所以需要对语言及其背后的文化有深刻理解才能准确翻译。深度学习技术和神经网络技术在亚洲语系的多语言机器翻译的水平提升上有很好的表现。BERT和GPT-3等基于Transformer的模型可以提高翻译质量。目前关于亚洲语系的多语言翻译模型的研究相对较少,而且现有的模型和特征选择都存在局限性。大多数下游过程中使用预先训练好的基于汉语特点的模型,但这些模型忽略了单词的真正含义,导致提取错误特征。许多亚洲语言都属于“低资源”这一类别,由于缺乏并行训练数据和计算机资源,所以针对多数亚洲语言构建高质量的机器翻译模型是很困难的。最后,本文研究了如何解决基于字符的预训练模型的翻译失配问题,并设计了一个轻量级的多语言翻译模型。通过将模型实验结果与具有BLUE分数的基准和基线模型来进行比较,证明了本文方法的有效性,研究内容如下:为了清楚起见,本文利用相似性权重将一个词的嵌入映射到其字母的嵌入。组合字符图像有助于我们理解单词分隔。基于对齐的注意力机制不关注不重要的字符,本文使用一种集成方法来聚合分词器的分割结果,用以减少分词错误传播。在中文NLP任务情感分类、短语对匹配、自然语言推理和机器阅读理解的任务中,本文的研究超越了基线预训练模型BERT、BERT-wwm和ERNIE。这种方法可以用单词真实的含义来解决误读词。本文使用数据收集、预处理、模型架构、训练、评估和优化为亚洲语言设计了一个轻量级多语言翻译模型,提出了一个针对亚洲语言的轻量级多语言翻译模型,在不影响翻译质量的情况下处理其独特的语言特征。并且在模型中使用了NLP常用模型Transformer。同时减少了模型参数,从而在不影响精度的情况下提高翻译准确性,使用中文、日文、韩文、泰文、越南文和印度尼西亚文的数据对模型进行了训练。本文的方法在翻译质量方面也超过了多语言翻译模式的标准,特别是对于亚洲语言。本文介绍了模型的相关内容与实验结果。实验采用了本文提出的多语言翻译框架EHBNet,这是第一个基于亚洲语言的升级版BERT模型的混合深度学习模型。通过与基准和基线模型比较,模型的实验结果证明了本文方法的优越性。对比分析表明,所提框架在精度和结果上均优于参考模型。与当前参考模型相比,所提出的架构丢失的数据更少。根据BLEU分数,语言嵌入在7种亚洲语言的语言聚类方面优于以前的知识(语言家族)。亚洲语言的词序和语法结构变化符合这一假设。编码器-解码器结构准确地表示了多种语言,同时保持了它们的特征。本文用有限的训练数据证明了模型的性能,将所提出的模型实验结果与基准和基线模型的BLUE分数进行了比较,尽管缺乏训练数据,本文的模型与其他模型进行对比还是很有优势。总而言之,本文提出的轻量级多语言翻译模型解决了亚洲语言翻译问题,适用于实际应用。

Early detection of environmental disruption, unintentional or otherwise, is increasingly desired to ensure hazard minimization in many settings. Here, using a field-portable, smartphone fluorimeter to assess water quality based on the pH response of a designer probe, a map of pH of public tap water sites has been obtained. A custom designed Android application digitally processed and mapped the results utilizing the global positioning system （GPS） service of the smartphone. The map generated indicates no disruption in pH for all sites measured, and all the data are assessed to fall inside the upper limit of local government regulations, consistent with authority reported measurements. This implementation demonstrates a new security concept： network environmental forensics utilizing the potential of novel smartgrid analysis with wireless sensors for the detection of potential disruption to water quality at any point in the city. This concept is applicable across all smartgrid strategies within the next generation of the Internet of Things and can be extended on national and global scales to address a range of target analytes, both chemical and biological.

The prebiotic functions of chocolate to improve the function and health benefit of the chocolate when enriched with probiotics has not been fully *** study investigated the role of chocolates enriched with probiotics in the production of SCFAs and vitamin B_(12) during the in-vitro colonic *** probiotic bacteria were encapsulated using a mixture of cocoa powder(10%),FOS(2%)and Na-alginate(1%)before added to *** results revealed that encapsulated Lactobacillus plantarum and Bifidobacterium animalis *** BB12 produced significantly higher amounts(1876.5±105.16 and 1348.51±77.37 mmol,respectively)of acetic acid after 48h of colonic *** with encapsulated BB12,La5,Lactobacillus sanfranciscensis and Streptococcus thermophilus yielded higher amounts of propionic,isobutyric,butyric and isovaleric ***-chocolates with 70%cocoa produced significantly more acetic,propionic,and butyric acids than that of 45%***,Probiotic-chocolates with 45%cocoa produced greater amounts of vitamin B_(12) than 70%*** data demonstrate that probiotic-chocolate could be a functional snack with additional health benefits.
