Impact of Four Fiber Sources and the Strategy of Feeding on the Nutritional Quality of Rabbit Meat (Oryctogalagus cuniculis)

This study was conducted to valorize four sources of fiber (Gliricidia sepium, Leucaena leucocephala, Moringa oleifera and palm nut fibers) in animal production. The experiments were carried out on 128 rabbits divided into 4 batches of 32 animals, reared for 8 weeks under the same conditions. Each batch was subdivided into two subgroups, one fed with a complete diet (a diet containing one of the fiber sources and served all day) and the other with the same diet separated from the fiber source (served at 9 a.m. and supplemented with the fiber source at 4 p.m.). Eight (8) experimental rations were, respectively, tested on the subgroups: complete feed Gliricidia sepium (CFG);supplemented feed Gliricidia sepium (SFG);complete feed Leucaena leucocephala (CFL);supplemented feed Leucaena leucocephala (SFL);complete feed Moringa oleifera (CFM);supplemented feed Moringa oleifera (SFM);complete feed palm nut fiber (CFF);supplemented feed palm nut fiber (SFF). In each subgroup, 4 rabbits were slaughtered at 15 weeks of age for a total of 32 rabbits. Physico-chemical parameters were evaluated on the feed and the meat. Data were analyzed using SAS 2013 software. Fiber content was similar (p > 0.05) for complete feeds. Fat content was high (p < 0.001) for the palm nuts fiber (27.34%) and the CFF feed (11.36%). Feeding rabbits with G. sepium leaves or palm nut fiber continuously increased the fat content of the meat in contrast to sequential feeding. Meat quality was also better when the fiber source was used in the feed of the rabbits in the evening.

老挝传统文化与蚕桑丝绸有着悠久的历史渊源,以栽桑养蚕为基础的茧丝产业在老挝有传统优势的发展环境和条件,但生产技术仍然停留在自给自足向产业阶段分工合作的发展时期,生产技术迫切需要整体提升和优化,其中养蚕生产最突出的问题是以细菌病为主的热带地区多发蚕病。本文从老挝川圹省传统饲养自留种农户采集了疑似细菌性败血病家蚕标本,通过细菌分离与鉴定,开展了病原菌回复感染和致病性、形态学特征、生理生化指标、分子进化分析和基因组测序分析,还进行了蚕品种抗性差异和防治药物筛选。主要结果如下:（1）病原细菌的分离和鉴定收集的20条老挝的病蚕样本,病斑疑似细菌性败血病,体液中无病毒多角体。病原细菌划线分离后,16S rDNA检测出4种细菌,编号为BmLA、BmLN、BmLF和BmLT,感染均会导致健康家蚕发病死亡。它们的16S rDNA序列同源性最接近芽孢杆菌属,其中BmLA与枯草芽孢杆菌（Bacillus subtilis）100%同源,BmLT与蜡状芽孢杆菌（Bacillus cereus）同源性95.69%。BmLN感染的病死蚕前期症状似中国青头败血细菌病蚕,后期则似中国黑胸败血芽孢杆菌（***）感染的症状。BmLF和BmLT感染的病死蚕症状都似中国黑胸败血芽孢杆菌感染症状,但感染BmLT的病死蚕症状更严重。细菌形态显微镜和扫描电镜观察结果显示,4个菌株的菌体都为杆状,周生鞭毛。选取BmLT经中国微生物研究所进行细菌形态和生理生化特征、16S rDNA基因序列、gyrB基因序列等检验,综合结果显示BmLT菌株是一种蜡状芽孢杆菌。将BmLT菌和中国黑胸败血芽孢杆菌进行比对实验,二者革兰氏染色阳性、都以二分法繁殖,形态均为杆状,但BmLT菌更大且长。表明老挝的BmLT菌是类似中国家蚕黑胸败血病芽孢杆菌的一种新的家蚕败血病原菌。（2）BmLT菌株的全基因组测序分析结果全基因组二代和三代联合测序结果,BmLT基因组总长5 819 010 bp,由一条环状染色体和5个质粒组成,其中4个是已知的质粒,1个新发现质粒。基因组平均GC含量为 35.21%,编码 tRNA 为 107 个、rRNA 为 42 个（16S rRNA,23S rRNA 和 5S rRNA各14个）、sRNA为142个。BmLT菌株的蛋白质同源基团簇（COG）4个,COG类型22个,基因数4079个,有COG注释的基因占所有基因的70.16%。基因本体论（GO）分析结果,参与生物过程、细胞组分和分子功能的BmLT菌注释基因4392个,占所有基因的75.54%。京都基因和基因组百科全书（KEGG）分析结果,BmLT菌株的注释基因中代谢相关基因高达2110个,其次是参与环境信息过程基因300个,然后是遗传信息处理219个基因和细胞过程相关的196个基因,疾病和生物体系统相关基因分别有135个和64个。病原与宿主互作数据分析,BmLT菌株是一株对家蚕宿主致病力强大的病原菌。全基因组生物信息学分析表明,BmLT菌有12个基因组岛,前噬菌体源自长尾病毒科（Siphoviridae）;有CRISPR/Cas系统44个,唯一的插入序列中包含了 1个编码基因;有转座子28个、CEs类活性酶40个、AAs类活性酶18个、GHs 32个和GTs38个;注释的毒力基因541个,耐药基因301个,包括耐大环内酯类抗生素、耐抗生素,耐四环素抗生素、耐肽抗生素、耐氟喹诺酮类抗生素、耐青霉烯和耐头孢菌素。参与宿主互作基因985个,毒力降低的基因691个,未受影响的致病性基因313个,毒力增加（气胀过度）基因96个,致病性丧失基因63个,致死基因25个,效应器（植物无毒决定因素）基因14个,耐化学性基因2个;具有通过酶促钝化作用的磷霉素抗性机制。细菌的分泌系统类型有三类,包括Sec-SRP分布系统类型11条和双精氨酸转运（Tat）系统2条;细菌染色体编码的分泌蛋白种类有246种,质粒编码22种,TCDB数据库注释到的转运蛋白相关基因数量有1021个,跨膜蛋白均分布在细菌染色体上,数量1663个。（3）老挝家蚕的致病细菌的防治药物筛选调查不同蚕品种对老挝菌株BmLA,BmLF,BmLN和BmLT的抵抗性,结果显示品种间对不同菌株的抗性有显著差异。生存中值、存活率和半数致死剂量(LD50)等参数显示,春光A感染4种老挝细菌的生存中值大于锡方A,且存活率都显著高于锡方A,显示春光A品种对感染老挝细菌的抗性强。抑菌实验显示,蚕药氟苯尼考和环丙沙星对BmLT菌株抑菌效果良好。预防性添食500 μg/mL氟苯尼考或环丙沙星,具有很好的减少BmLT菌感染死亡率效果,感染后8 h 500μg/mL添食,也能够显著降低家蚕死亡率。热带养蚕生产防病工作有所使用的罗勒叶和白桑果桑叶,使用蒸馏法从这两种植物叶制备的有效

A promoting nitric oxide-releasing coating containing copper ion on ZE21B alloy for potential vascular stent application

Magnesium-based biodegradable metals as cardiovascular stents have shown a lot of excellent performance, which have been used to treat coronary artery diseases. However, the excessive degradation rate, imperfect biocompatibility and delayed re-endothelialization still lead to a considerable challenge for its application. In this work, to overcome these shortcomings, a compound of catalyzing nitric oxide(NO) generation containing copper ions(Cu^(2+)) and hyaluronic acid(HA), an important component of the extracellular matrix, were covalently immobilized on a hydrofluoric acid(HF)-pretreated ZE21B alloy via amination layer for improving its corrosion resistance and endothelialization. Specifically,the Cu^(2+) chelated firmly with a cyclen 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-N’, N’’, N’’’, N-tetraacetic acid(DOTA) could form a stability of hybrid coating, avoiding the explosion of Cu^(2+). The chelated Cu^(2+) enabled the catalytic generation of NO and promoted the adhesion and proliferation of endothelial cells(ECs) in vascular micro-environment. In this case, the synergistic effect of NO-generation and endothelial glycocalyx molecules of HA lead to efficient ECs promotion and smooth muscle cells(SMCs) inhibition. Meanwhile, the blood compatibility also had achieved a marked improvement. Moreover, the standard electrochemical measurements indicated that the functionalized ZE21B alloy had better anti-corrosion ability. In a conclusion, the dual-functional coating displays a great potential in the field of biodegradable magnesium-based implantable cardiovascular stents.

Preserved egg white alleviates DSS-induced colitis in mice through the reduction of oxidative stress,modulation of inflammatory cytokines,NF-κB,MAPK and gut microbiota composition

Traditional Chinese preserved egg products have exhibited some anti-inflammatory effects,but their mechanisms of action remain *** study aimed to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of preserved egg white(PEW)treatment on dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced colitis in mice and the underlying *** results showed that treatment with PEW in mice with DSS-induced colitis for 14 days effectively improved the clinical signs,inhibited the secretion and gene expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines,and reduced myeloperoxidase(MPO)activity and oxidative stress *** addition,western blotting results showed that PEW significantly suppressed DSS-induced phosphorylation levels of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)p65 and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)in colon tissues of mice with *** also enhanced the production of short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs)and modulated gut microbiota composition in mice with DSS-induced colitis,including increasing the relative abundance of beneficial bacteria Lachnospiraceae,Ruminococcaceae and Muribaculaceae,and reducing the relative abundance of harmful bacteria *** together,our study demonstrated that preserved egg white could alleviate DSS-induced colitis in mice through the reduction of oxidative stress,modulation of inflammatory cytokines,NF-κB,MAPK and gut microbiota composition.

Structural performance of authentic architectural heritage designs:A masonry monument in Western Anatolia

The aim of the study is to present a multi-leveled comparative evaluation approach for structural characteristics of historic masonry monuments so that the consciousness in their authentic designs is comprehended,and the optimum structural performance is clarified.A case study approach is preferred by the examination of the Bedesten(15th‒16th centuries)located in Bergama,_Izmir,*** structure is documented through tacheometric *** construction techniques of structural elements are *** documented qualities are compared with similar period and/or function structures in order to rank the frequency of construction *** geometrical factor of safety state is defined theoretically for domes and *** element macro model of the Bedesten is generated in ANSYS software and overall structural analysis of the structure is made to evaluate the safety level of historic building by the limit states through self-weight *** presented study shows that the rare structural characteristics can both contribute to structural safety and cause ***,total consciousness in structural design cannot be stated for the studied Bedesten,but the structural designs that are often preferred in the monuments built at the same period in the proximity to each other have low vulnerability,yielding to conscious preferences.
