Computational Analysis of Novel Extended Lindley Progressively Censored Data

A novel extended Lindley lifetime model that exhibits unimodal or decreasing density shapes as well as increasing,bathtub or unimodal-then-bathtub failure rates, named the Marshall-Olkin-Lindley (MOL) model is *** this research, using a progressive Type-II censored, various inferences of the MOL model parameters oflife are introduced. Utilizing the maximum likelihood method as a classical approach, the estimators of themodel parameters and various reliability measures are investigated. Against both symmetric and asymmetric lossfunctions, the Bayesian estimates are obtained using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) technique with theassumption of independent gamma priors. From the Fisher information data and the simulatedMarkovian chains,the approximate asymptotic interval and the highest posterior density interval, respectively, of each unknownparameter are calculated. Via an extensive simulated study, the usefulness of the various suggested strategies isassessedwith respect to some evaluationmetrics such as mean squared errors, mean relative absolute biases, averageconfidence lengths, and coverage percentages. Comparing the Bayesian estimations based on the asymmetric lossfunction to the traditional technique or the symmetric loss function-based Bayesian estimations, the analysisdemonstrates that asymmetric loss function-based Bayesian estimations are preferred. Finally, two data sets,representing vinyl chloride and repairable mechanical equipment items, have been investigated to support theapproaches proposed and show the superiority of the proposed model compared to the other fourteen lifetimemodels.

A new one-parameter Chris-Jerry distribution,created by mixing exponential and gamma distributions,is discussed in this article in the presence of incomplete lifetime *** examine a novel generalized progressively hybrid censoring technique that ensures the experiment ends at a predefined period when the model of the test participants has a Chris-Jerry(CJ)*** the indicated censored data is present,Bayes and likelihood estimations are used to explore the CJ parameter and reliability indices,including the hazard rate and reliability *** acquire the estimated asymptotic and credible confidence intervals of each unknown ***,via the squared-error loss,the Bayes’estimators are obtained using gamma *** Bayes estimators cannot be expressed theoretically since the likelihood density is created in a complex manner;nonetheless,Markov-chain Monte Carlo techniques can be used to evaluate *** effectiveness of the investigated estimations is assessed,and some recommendations are given using Monte Carlo ***,an analysis of two engineering applications,such as mechanical equipment and ball bearing data sets,shows the applicability of the proposed approaches that may be used in real-world settings.

This paper suggests a new modified version of the traditional Weibull distribution by adding a new shape parameter utilising the modified alpha power transformed *** refer to the new model as modified alpha power transformed Weibull *** attractiveness and significance of the new distribution lie in its power to model monotone and non-monotone failure rate functions,which are quite familiar in environmental *** hazard rate function can be decreasing,increasing,bathtub and upside-down then bathtub *** structural properties of the proposed model are acquired including quantile function,moments,entropies,order statistics,residual life and reversed failure rate *** parameters of the distribution were estimated using the maximum likelihood *** maximum likelihood method is employed to estimate the model parameters and the approximate confidence intervals are also *** a simulation study,the performance of the point and interval estimates are compared using different *** real lifetime data sets,we verify that the offered model furnishes a better fit than some other lifetime models including Weibull,gamma and alpha powerWeibull models.

A new extended exponential lifetime model called Harris extended-exponential(HEE)distribution for data modelling with increasing and decreasing hazard rate shapes has been *** the reliability context,researchers prefer to use censoring plans to collect data in order to achieve a compromise between total test time and/or test sample ***,this study considers both maximum likelihood and Bayesian estimates of the Harris extended-exponential distribution parameters and some of its reliability indices using a progressive Type-II censoring *** the premise of independent gamma priors,the Bayesian estimation is created using the squared-error and general entropy loss *** to the challenging form of the joint posterior distribution,to evaluate the Bayes estimates,samples from the full conditional distributions are generated using Markov Chain Monte Carlo *** each unknown parameter,the highest posterior density credible intervals and asymptotic confidence intervals are also *** a simulated study,the usefulness of the various suggested strategies is *** optimal progressive censoring plans are also shown,and various optimality criteria are *** actual data sets,taken from engineering and veterinary medicine areas,are analyzed to show how the offered point and interval estimators can be used in practice and to verify that the proposed model furnishes a good fit than other lifetimemodels:alpha power exponential,generalized-exponential,Nadarajah-Haghighi,Weibull,Lomax,gamma and exponential *** evaluations revealed that in the presence of progressively Type-II censored data,the Bayes estimation method against the squared-error(symmetric)loss is advised for getting the point and interval estimates of the HEE distribution.

The main objective of this paper is to discuss a general family of distributions generated from the symmetrical arcsine *** considered family includes various asymmetrical and symmetrical probability distributions as special cases.A particular case of a symmetrical probability distribution from this family is the Arcsine–Gaussian *** statistical properties of this distribution including quantile,mean residual life,order statistics and moments are *** Arcsine–Gaussian parameters are estimated using two classical estimation methods called moments and maximum likelihood methods.A simulation study which provides asymptotic distribution of all considered point estimators,90%and 95%asymptotic confidence intervals are performed to examine the estimation efficiency of the considered methods *** simulation results show that both biases and variances of the estimators tend to zero as the sample size increases,i.e.,the estimators are asymptotically ***,when the sample size increases the coverage probabilities of the confidence intervals increase to the nominal levels,while the corresponding length decrease and approach *** real data sets from the medicine filed are used to illustrate the flexibility of the Arcsine–Gaussian distribution as compared with the normal,logistic,and Cauchy *** proposed distribution is very versatile to fit real applications and can be used as a good alternative to the traditional gaussian distribution.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of Moringa oleifera leaf ethanol extract as an adjunct treatment on lead acetate induced hepatonephrotoxicity in rabbits. Methods: Thirty-six male New Zealand White rabbits were assigned into two main groups. The first group(14 rabbits) served as normal control. The second group(22 rabbits) was administered orally with lead acetate at a dose of 40 mg/kg/day, 5 days/week for 8 weeks. At the 4 th and the 8 th week of treatment, 6 animals(3 animals at each period) of the second group were sacrificed while the remaining animals(16 rabbits) were assigned randomly into 2 subgroups(8 rabbits each): treated and non-treated. The first subgroup was orally given 1 m L phosphate-buffered saline for further 4 weeks while the second subgroup was administered orally with Moringa oleifera leaf ethanol extract at a dose of 400 mg/kg/day for the same period. Blood samples were collected to determine hematological and serum biochemical indices. Tissue specimens were collected from the liver and kidney for evaluation of the oxidant/antioxidant markers and for histopathological ***: Lead acetate exposure decreased the mean body weight gain, hematocrit, hemoglobin, mean corpuscular volume, and lymphocytes count. Moreover, it markedly increased counts of monocytes and platelets, serum enzyme activity, levels of creatinine, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Malondialdehyde level was markedly increased while the reduced glutathione content was significantly decreased in liver tissue of lead intoxicated-rabbits. Histopathological alterations were also noticed in the liver and kidney of lead intoxicated rabbits. Moringa oleifera leaf ethanol extract significantly improved hematological and serum biochemical parameters and histopathological structure of the liver and kidney. ABO blood group incompatibility(ABO-I)was historically considered an absolute contraindication to kidney transplantation due to the significant risk of acute antibody-mediated rejection and early graft ***,the urge to minimize the gap between the candidates’number on the waitlist for kidney transplants and the available kidney donors encourage investigation into finding ways to use organs from ABO-I kidney donors,especially in the era of using more potent immunosuppression *** review aims to discuss a general overview of ABO-I kidney transplantation and the different protocols adopted by some transplant centers to meaningfully overcome this barrier.

Evaluation of Hong Kong Convention in the Maritime Industry

The HKC （Hong Kong Convention） adopted by the IMO in 2009 is aimed at ensuring that ships, when being recycled after reaching the end of their operational lives, do not pose any unnecessary risk to human health and safety of the marine environment. The text of the ship recycling Convention was developed with input from the IMO （International Maritime Organization） Member States and relevant NGOs （Non-Governmental Organizations）, and in co-operation with the ILO （International Labor Organization） and the Parties to the Basel Convention. The Convention intends to address all the issues around ship recycling, taking into account that ships sold for scrapping may contain environmentally hazardous substances. It addresses concerns raised about the working and environmental conditions at many of the world ship recycling locations. Regulations in the new Convention cover： the design, construction, operation and preparation of ships so as to facilitate safe and environmentally sound recycling, without compromising the safety and operational efficiency of ships; the operation of ship recycling facilities in a safe and environmentally sound manner; and the establishment of an appropriate enforcement mechanism for ship recycling, incorporating certification and reporting requirements. This paper will present and discuss the evaluation of the Hong Kong Convention. Also it will discuss implementing the Hong Kong convention to improve the recycling business, highlighting the effect of the convention on the maritime industry.
