In precision machining processes such as grinding,for example,analysis of machined surface is important one of most parameters to evaluate process *** important is to perform tribological analysis to understand chip formation and abrasive wheel wear,thus enabling manufacturing of components free of thermal *** grinding,due to high hardness of abrasive grains that remove material from workpiece in chip form and very low values of radial depth of cut,combination of low roughness values and tight dimensional tolerances is ***,the parameters involved in this process are determinant in surface quality that is primarily evaluated in terms of surface roughness and workpiece *** this work,surface roughness(Rt parameter)and scanning electron microscope(SEM)images of ground surfaces of the AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel samples were *** were carried out in surface grinding with a white aluminum oxide wheel and an environmentally-friendly semisynthetic water-soluble *** values of radial depth of cut(10μm and 25μm)were *** results showed that the highest roughness values,deeper grooves on the machined surfaces as well as poorer surface quality were obtained after grinding under the severest cutting conditions.

Grinding operation is a finishing process often employed when high precision and narrow geometric tolerances are *** requirements can be achieved only if cutting conditions are properly selected,especially the cooling-lubrication *** general,grinding is performed in presence of cutting fluid,however,due to the environmental impacts and costs of the conventional coolant delivery technique(flow rates from 4 L/min to 300 L/min),alternative cooling-lubrication techniques have been developed on restriction of the coolants *** the several techniques,MQL(minimum quantity of lubricant)technique has received special attention from machining users because of its advantages in terms of surface quality of workpiece and drastic reduction in use of *** this context,this paper evaluated the performance of the MQL technique as compared to the flood coolant in peripheral surface grinding of AISI P100(VP100)steel with conventional aluminum oxide grinding wheel in relation to the surface roughness(Ra and Rz).Input parameters tested were equivalent chip thickness(0.09μm,0.18μm and 0.27μm)and flow rate of the cutting fluid(60 mL/h,150 mL/h and 240 mL/h)of the MQL *** showed that the grinding with MQL technique provided lower surface roughness values compared to conventional flood cooling,especially when machining under the intermediary cutting ***,with exception of heq of 0.09 m,the MQL technique resulted in lower values of Rz parameter as compared to the conventional coolant technique,regardless of the flow rate tested.

This article is about a report of the experiment of PRO/PET-Saúde students in the anti-HIV tests implementation in the town of Santa Cruz-RN. The goal is to report the importance and discuss the aspects of the moment experienced above inside the basic health unit in the town of Santa Cruz-RN. The experience occurred in the months from February to March 2014 and they were conducted within 8 hours per week. This way, it is observed that the period lived made possible great reflection about the making of the examination in the pre-natal appointment routines, cataloguing challenges which come up during their adequacy within the services. Lastly, the action developed aimed for the aggregation of an active learning process in the search for a critical sense in the experienced practice, allowing and prioritizing the basic health unit as a scope of reference and counter-reference in the public health service, increasing concrete answers and the needs of the population, guaranteeing an adequate service delivery and strengthening the SUS more and more. The insertion of students through the PRO/PET-Saúde-Rede Cegonha enables a reorientation of professional formation, from the integration between service and teaching.

Photodynamic Therapy for Medication-Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaws: A Case Report

Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws (MRONJ) is a relatively new disease. MARX reported first cases in 2003. MRONJ relates to oral and parenteral bisphosphonates as well as to the so-called target cancer therapies but the list of medications only grows. Although MRONJ is a relatively rare condition, it can be associated to significant morbidity with feeding limitations and intense pain. More severe cases can lead to potentially life-threatening infections. Every patient initiating bisphosphonate and/or target cancer therapy must visit a dentist before starting medication because preventive measures for MRONJ are much more effective compared to surgical management of the lesions. Surgical resolution can be especially difficult to obtain in the coexistence of certain complication factors like wider bone exposures, history of nitrogen containing bisphosphonates use (mainly zolendronate) and immunodeficiency. Recently, researchers have given attention to laser therapy associated to photosensitive agents as a possible option to management of some MRONJ lesions. Our case report demonstrates the use of photodynamic therapy in a denosumab related lesion in the mandible. It seems that denosumab related lesions are more amenable to treatment and total resolution because of the marked differences between its chemical and metabolic characteristics when compared to bisphosphonates.
