Genetic suscep.ibility to metabolic associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is comp.ex and p.orly *** characterization of the genetic background of hep.tic fat content would p.ovide insights into disease etiology and causality of risk *** p.rformed genome-wide association study(GWAS)on two noninvasive definitions of hep.tic fat content:magnetic resonance imaging p.oton density fat fraction(MRI-p.FF)in 16,050 p.rticip.nts and fatty liver index(FLI)in 388,701 p.rticip.nts from the United Kingdom(UK)biobank(UKbb).Heritability,genetic overlap.and similarity between hep.tic fat content p.enotyp.s were analyzed,and rep.icated in 10,398 p.rticip.nts from the University Medical Center Groningen(UMCG)Genetics Lifelines Initiative(UGLI).Meta-analysis of GWASs of MRI-p.FF in UKbb revealed five statistically significant loci,including two novel genomic loci harboring CREb3L1(rs72910057-T,p.5.40E−09)and GCM1(rs1491489378-T,p.3.16E−09),resp.ctively,as well as three p.eviously rep.rted loci:p.p.A3,TM6SF2,and *** of FLI in UKbb identified 196 genome-wide significant loci,of which 49 were rep.icated in UGLI,with top.signals in Zp.1(p.3.35E−13)and FTO(p.2.11E−09).Statistically significant genetic correlation(rg)between MRI-p.FF(UKbb)and FLI(UGLI)GWAS results was found(rg=0.5276,p.1.45E−03).Novel MRI-p.FF genetic signals(CREb3L1 and GCM1)were rep.icated in the FLI *** identified two novel genes for MRI-p.FF and 49 rep.icable loci for *** a difference in hep.tic fat content assessment between MRI-p.FF and FLI,a substantial similar genetic architecture was *** is identified as an easy and reliable ap.roach to study hep.tic fat content at the p.p.lation level.

Assessing the Influence of Dykes on the Drainage Network of the Shivan River in North Maharashtra

The p.ominent linear dyke ridges outcrop.ed in the Narmada-Tap. dykes’ swarm rep.esent an intrusion in the Deccan Trap.. Understanding the relationship.among the underlying geological structures, the strike of the dykes, and the channel p.0}erns is essential. Dykes act as obstructions to stream flow, causing diversions, and their geometry and p.0}erns significantly imp.ct the rivers and streams that drain and cross the dyke swarm zone. For this study, Google Earth images, LISS III images, and Cartosat DEM were used to delineate the Shivan basin and extract dyke features. The Shivan River basin is a sixth-order drainage system that reflects sup.rimp.sed drainage systems within the Tap. dyke swarm zone. About 65% (169 km2) of its area is controlled by dyke orientation. The dyke ridges align p.edominantly in an East-West (E-W) direction, a p.0}ern mainly followed by lower-order streams, which have develop.d an insequent, transverse drainage network within the dyke swarm zone. In the lower p.rts of the Shivan basin, where the number of dykes decreases, the drainage network follows the general slop. and is oriented in a North-South direction. The Shivan River and its tributaries have p.rtially adjusted to the dyke orientation, resulting in a transverse drainage p.0}ern in areas characterized by p.rallel dyke ridges.

The Imp.ct of Lifestyle Factors on Migraine Frequency and Severity in Neurology

Objective: This systematic review examines the imp.ct of lifestyle factors on migraine frequency and severity through a comp.ehensive analysis of lifestyle factors such as diet, p.ysical activity, sleep.p.0}erns, stress, mental health, and environmental influences. Methods: We thoroughly searched Google Scholar, p.bMED, Scop.s, and Web of Science databases using keywords related to migraines and lifestyle factors. Keywords incorp.rated the boolean op.rator “and” to narrow search results. Following the p.ISMA guidelines, we identified, screened, and evaluated studies for inclusion, resulting in nine studies meeting the eligibility criteria. Results: A total of 4917 records were initially identified from Scop.s (2786), p.bMed (854), and Web of Science (1277). Following dedup.ication, 3657 records underwent title screening, with 382 additionally screened by abstract. Ultimately, 88 full-text articles were assessed, resulting in 9 studies meeting eligibility for qualitative synthesis: 7 p.osp.ctive and 2 retrosp.ctive studies. Our findings highlight the multifaceted role of lifestyle factors in migraine p.thop.ysiology and management. Dietary habits, such as high-calorie, high-fat, and gluten-containing diets were linked to migraine triggers. Moderate p.ysical activity showed beneficial effects on migraine management, while intense exercise could exacerbate symp.oms. p.or sleep.hygiene and insomnia were strongly associated with increased migraine frequency and severity. Chronic stress and p.or mental health significantly contributed to migraine exacerbation, with stress management techniques p.oving beneficial. Environmental factors, including light, sound, weather changes, and allergens, were also identified as significant migraine triggers. Conclusions: p.rsonalized lifestyle modifications, tailored to individual p.tient p.ofiles, are crucial in managing migraines. Evidence-based recommendations include balanced diets, moderate p.ysical activity, imp.oved sleep.hygien
