Bone fracture non-unions, the failure of a fracture to heal, occur in 10%-20% of fractures and are a costly and debilitating clinical problem. The Wnt/fl-catenin pa.hway is critical in bone development and fracture healing. Polymorphisms of linking low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6 （LRP6）, a Wnt-binding receptor, have been associated with decreased bone mineral density and fragility fractures, although this remains controversial. Mice with a.homozygous deletion of Lrp6 have severe skeletal abnormalities and are not viable, whereas mice with a.heterozygous deletion have a combinatory effect with Lrp5 to decrease bone mineral density. As fracture healing closely models embryonic skeletal development, we investigated the process of fracture healing in mice heterozygous for Lrp6 （Lrp6~/-） and hypothesized that the heterozygous deletion of Lrp6 would impair fracture healing. Mid-dia.hyseal femur fractures were induced in Lrp6~^- mice and wild-type controls （Lrp6~/~）. Fractures were analyzed using micro-computed tomogra.hy （~CT） scans, biomechanical testing, and histological analysis. Lrp6~/- mice had significantly decreased stiffness and strength at 28 days post fracture （PF） and significantly decreased BV/TV, total density, immature bone density, and mature area within the callus on day-14 and -21 PF; they had significantly increased empty callus area at days 14 and 21 PF. Our results demonstrate that the heterozygous deletion of Lrp6 impairs fracture healing, which suggests that Lrp6 has a role in fracture healing.

Polymer-based materials have been motivated to be an alternative support system element in the mining/tunneling industry due to their logistic and geotechnical *** spray-on liner(TSL),a term to define the application of the material on the rock surface with a layer ranging from 2 mm to10 mm in thickness,shows some promising *** are mainly composed of plastic,polymer,or cement-based ingredients to a certain *** study intends to reveal the time-dependent response of TSL specimens,cured throughout 500 d,under four constant stress levels for stable laboratory *** results were correlated using two interrelated equations to predict the material’s service life(creep-rupture envelopes).The proposed correlations offered an insight into both the effective permanent support time and the strain amount at the liner *** time-dependent deformation of TSL,whose performance is highly responsive to creep behavior,was obtained so that the design engineers may use the findings to avoid the severe problems of material *** data were also used to develop a.burgers(four-element)creep *** the liner has a nonlinear time-dependent behavior,creep models were built for ea.h stress level ***,a generic equation was obtained using the nonlinear parametric *** is a good agreement between the proposed model and the experimental *** proposed model can be used as a basis for future numerical studies related to the support behavior of aged surface support liners.

The generalized fractional burgers equation is studied in this paper. Using the classical Lie symmetry method, all of the vector fields and symmetry reduction of the equation with nonlinearity are constructed. In particular,an exact solution is provided by using the ansatz method. In addition, other types of exact solution are obtained via the invariant subspace method. Finally, conservation laws for this equation are derived.

The spheroidization of the lamellar structure can greatly contribute to the superplasticity of the nugget zone(NZ)of Ti alloy welds,which is the key to a.hieve the integral superplastic forming of welds for the fabrication of large-scale complex ***,the spheroidization process is complex and costly since it cannot be obtained generally,unless the lamellae suffers from a large *** this study,the static spheroidization was a.hieved for the fine lamellae structure in the nugget of a friction stir welded(FSW)Ti-6Al-4V joint,particularly by the annealing without any *** specialα/βinterface obeying a.burgers orientation relationship(BOR)after FSW was first time directly observed,whose effect on the spheroidization was discussed.A new static spheroidization mechanism with the gradual coalescence of the adjacent lamellae was discovered,which we named as“termination coalescence”.There was a slower coarsening rate in the lamellar structure than in the classical equiaxed one,due to the BOR in the lamellae,although both of them exhibited a volume diffusion character during ***,the similar superplasticity can be a.hieved for the base material and NZ after *** study can provide a new way to the spheroidization and a theoretical basis for the integral superplastic forming of welds during production.
