Several pulsar timing array(PTA) collaborations have recently reported the evidence for a stochastic gravitational-wave background(SGWB), which can unveil the formation of primordial seeds of inhomogeneities in the early universe. With the SGWB parameters inferred from PTAs data, we can make a prediction of the seeds for early galaxy formation from the domain walls in the axion-like particles(ALPs) field distribution. This also naturally provides a solution to the observation of high redshifts by the James Webb Space Telescope. The predicted photon coupling of the ALP is within the reach of future experimental searches.

Insufficient intratumoral retention of nanomedicines remains the major challenge for broad implementation in clinical ***,we proposed a legumain-triggered aggregable gold nanoparticle(GNP)delivery platform(GNPs-A&C).GNPs-A&C could form intratumoral or intracellular aggregates in response to the overexpressed *** aggregates with size increase not only could reduce back-flow from interstitial space to peripheral bloodstream but also could restrict the cellular exocytosis,leading to enhanced intratumoral *** vitro studies demonstrated that GNPs-A&C possessed an excellent legumain responsiveness and the increased size was closely relevant with legumain *** vivo studies demonstrated GNPs-A&C possessed slower clearance rate and much higher intratumoral retention within legumain-overexpressed tumor compared to non-aggregable NPs,regardless of intravenous or intratumoral *** importantly,this delivery platform significantly improved the chemotherapeutic effect of doxorubicin(DOX)towards subcutaneous xenograft C6 *** effectiveness of this stimulus-responsive aggregable delivery system provides a thinking for designing more intelligent size-tunable nanomedicine that can substantially improve intratumoral retention.

We report on the novel heterometallic quaternary selenide EuCeCuSe3,the fabrication of which has been a challenge until this *** structure of the reported selenide was elucidated from the powder X-ray diffraction data,which revealed the formation of EuCeCuSe3with excellent yield(96.7%)accompanied with a minor fraction of CeSe2(3.3%),and was best solved in orthorhombic space group Pnma with the BaLaCuS3structural ***,the crystal structure of the title compound completes the row of the heterometallic quaternary selenides EurECuSe3(rE=La,Pr,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,Tb,Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Yb,Lu,Y),of which the cerium-based derivative exclusively belongs to the BaLaCuS3structural *** distortion of the CuSe4polyhedron was compared for the whole series of EurECuSe3compounds using theτ4-descriptor for four coordinated ions,which revealed the highest degree of distortion for the Ce3+-containing selenide,followed by the La3+-based ***,the crystallographic and geometrical parameters of the reported selenide were discussed in comparison to the Ce3+-based sulfides SrCeCuS3and *** initio calculations of the crystal structure,a phonon spectrum and elastic constants for the crystal of EuCeCuSe3were also *** types and wavenumbers of fundame ntal modes were determined and the involvement of ions participating in the phonon modes was *** experimental Ir spectrum of the reported selenide was interpreted and found to be in agreement with the calculated *** experimental direct band gap of EuCeCuSe3was measured to be 1.36 eV that is consistent with the concept of its origin due to interband transitions between orbitals emerging mainly from 4f(valence band)and 5d(conduction band)levels of the Eu2+*** dependence of the Young’s modulus on the direction demonstrates the anisotropy of the elastic properties,while the Vickers hardness for EuCeCuSe3was calculated to be 5.2 ***,the title compound is paramagnetic above 4 K.

In this review,we revisit the pivotal role of fibroblast growth factor receptor 3(FGFr3)in bladder cancer(BLCA),underscoring its prevalence in both nonmuscle-invasive and muscle-invasive forms of the ***3 mutations in up to half of BLCAs play a well-established role in tumorigenesis,shaping distinct tumor initiation patterns and impacting the tumor microenvironment(TME).Emphasizing the importance of considering epithelial-mesenchymal transition profile and TME status,we revisit their relevance in predicting responses to immune checkpoint inhibitors in FGFr3-mutated *** writing highlights the initially promising yet transient efficacy of the FGFr inhibitor Erdafitinib on FGFr3-mutated BLCA,stressing the pressing need to unravel resistance mechanisms and identify co-targets for future combinatorial studies.A thorough analysis of recent preclinical and clinical evidence reveals resistance mechanisms,including secondarymutations,epigenetic alterations in pathway effectors,phenotypic heterogeneity,and population-specific variations within FGFr3 mutational ***,we discuss the potential of combinatorial treatments and concepts like synthetic lethality for discovering more effective targeted therapies against FGFr3-mutated BLCA.

Gastric cancer(GC) remains one of the most common lethal diseases. Every year, about 1 million people fall ill and almost 800 thousand people die worldwide~1. Surgical treatment has reached its limit. The current advances in immunology and detection of epidermal growth factor molecules(EGFr) in gastric cancer cells allowed to improve the treatment results;however, the metastatic form of this disease is still incurable.

rydberg excitons(analogues of rydberg atoms in condensed matter systems)are highly excited bound electron-hole states with large Bohr *** interaction between them as well as exciton coupling to light may lead to strong optical nonlinearity,with applications in sensing and quantum information ***,we achieve strong effective photon–photon interactions(Kerr-like optical nonlinearity)via the rydberg blockade phenomenon and the hybridisation of excitons and photons forming polaritons in a Cu2O-filled *** pulsed resonant excitation polariton resonance frequencies are renormalised due to the reduction of the photon-exciton coupling with increasing exciton *** analysis shows that the rydberg blockade plays a major role in the experimentally observed scaling of the polariton nonlinearity coefficient as∝n4.4±1.8 for principal quantum numbers up to n=*** high principal quantum numbers studied in a polariton system for the first time are essential for realisation of high rydberg optical nonlinearities,which paves the way towards quantum optical applications and fundamental studies of strongly correlated photonic(polaritonic)states in a solid state system.
