There are many causes of gastrointestinal bleeding(GIB) in children, and this condition is not rare, having a reported incidence of 6.4%. Causes vary with age, but show considerable overlap; moreover, while many of the causes in the pediatric population are similar to those in adults, some lesions are unique to children. The diagnostic approach for pediatric GIB includes definition of the etiology, localization of the bleeding site and determination of the severity of bleeding; timely and accurate diagnosis is necessary to reduce morbidity and mortality. To assist medical care providers in the evaluation and management of children with GIB, the "Gastro-Ped Bleed Team" of the Italian Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition(SIGENP) carried out a systematic search on MEDLINE via Pub Med(http://***/pubmed/) to identify all articles published in English from January 1990 to 2016; the following key words were used to conduct the electronic search: "upper GIB" and "pediatric" [all fields]; "lower GIB" and "pediatric" [all fields]; "obscure GIB" and "pediatric" [all fields]; "GIB" and "endoscopy" [all fields]; "GIB" and "therapy" [all fields]. The identified publications included articles describing randomized controlled trials, reviews, case reports, cohort studies, casecontrol studies and observational studies. References from the pertinent articles were also reviewed. This paper expresses a position statement of SIGENP that can have an immediate impact on clinical practice and for which sufficient evidence is not available in literature. The experts participating in this effort were selected according to their expertise and professional qualifications.

Even after a successful renal transplantation, the renal transplant recipients(RTRs) keeps on suffering the consequences of the uremic sickness. Cardiovascular risk, work capacity, and quality of life do not improve according to expectations since biological and psychological problems are not completely solved by pharmacological treatment. Furthermore, post-transplant treatment, per se, induces additional problems(i.e., side effects of drugs). It becomes, indeed, very important to insert "non-pharmacological" therapies able to reverse this trend. Exercise may represent an important contribution in the solution of this problem. In fact, many studies have demonstrated, in the last two decades, that physical training is able both, to improve graft function, work capacity and quality of life, and to reduce cardiovascular risk. In conclusion, if the analysis of the available data suggests that an appropriate dose of physical training represent a useful, safe and non-pharmacologic contribution to RTR treatment, it becomes a kidney transplantologist responsibility to introduce exercise in the current therapy of RTRs.

许多卵生动物具有对付食卵者的精巧策略以降低死亡率,因为早期发育阶段的捕食压力能显著影响具复杂生活史动物的生存。两栖动物卵被水蛭等很多物种所捕食。我们查阅了水蛭捕食两栖类卵的文献,发现27篇论文。在所报道的水蛭捕食两栖类卵的例子中,无尾类(3.6%,n=591)明显多于有尾类(1.6%,n=255)。此外,我们第一次记录到水蛭捕食四趾螈(Salamandrina perspicillata)卵,这也是西欧有尾类的第一例报道。我们没有发现两个两栖动物类群间存在差异。然而,当我们分别分析来自北美、欧洲和亚洲三个地区的数据时,发现北美的有尾类和无尾类间存在显著差异。水蛭可捕食各生活史阶段的两栖动物,因此,水蛭应归为一些两栖类的天敌。

Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has several extrapulmonary ***(GI)symptoms are among the most frequent clinical manifestations of COVID-19,with severe consequences reported in elderly ***,the impact of COVID-19 on patients with pre-existing digestive diseases still needs to be fully elucidated,particularly in the older *** review aimed to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on the GI tract,liver,and pancreas in individuals with and without previous digestive diseases,with a particular focus on the elderly,highlighting the distinctive characteristics observed in this ***,the effectiveness and adverse events of the anti-COVID-19 vaccination in patients with digestive disorders and the peculiarities found in the elderly are discussed.

Background andAims:Hepatitis C Virus(HCV)is uniformly recurrent after liver transplant(LT)and recurrence is associated with an increased risk of *** medications increase the risk of chronic kidney disease,and the presence of chronic kidney disease presents a challenge for HCV treatment in LT *** aim of this study was to assess changes in glomerular filtration rates(GFRs)of LT recipients receiving HCV ***:This is a retrospective study of LT patients who received HCV treatment between 2015 and 2016(n=60).The outcomes of interest were differences in serum creatinine levels and in GFR,measured at treatment initiation and at 24 weeks after *** average age of the patients was 59 years-old,and 17%were cirrhotic and 67%were *** patients received sofosbuvir/ledipasvir without ***:All patients achieved sustained virologic response at 12 weeks after treatment(SVR12).At baseline,55%of patients had GFR60 mL/min per 1.73 *** those patients,GFR did not change in 81%,and 19%had worsened *** the entire cohort,65%of patients had improved or stable GFR and 35%had worsened *** average change in serum creatinine between baseline and 24 weeks was 0.10(p=0.18).Conclusions:This study showed improved or unchanged GFR in 65%and worsened GFR in 35%of LT recipients who achieved *** of GFR was more frequently encountered in those with impaired renal function at *** should be used when treating HCV in LT recipients,especially those with baseline status of renal impairment.
