Review of cost and surgical time implications using virtual patient specific planning and patient specific implants in midface reconstruction

Aim:Summarize the available data on midfacial virtual patient specific planning and patient specific implants,highlighting the financial costs and savings,and additionally emphasize the potential cost implications of transitioning to“in-house”virtual 3D modeling and ***:Review of current ***:Current literature suggests cost benefits of virtual patient specific planning and patient specific implants in the form of improved ischemia time,better boney apposition between flaps,and reduced patient *** reduction of complications includes a reduction in blood loss and time spent in the intensive care unit from flap *** boney apposition results in a higher likelihood of boney union and a further reduction in failure and *** benefits of virtual patient specific planning and patient specific implants are shown in the form of improved reconstructive surgeon mental ***-house production of 3D models and presurgical planning provides additional cost benefits for providers as they can produce viable models at a fraction of the price of that which is produced by industrial *** can also construct and use models in an expedient manner compared to industrial models,allowing for the opportunity to be utilized in more acute *** foundation of developing an in-house workflow is adequate funding,resources,and clinical *** also must focus on appropriate quality and safety measures,as well as appropriate workflow development for adequate production of ***:Virtual patient specific planning and patient specific implants show benefits in midfacial reconstructive outcomes,resulting in realized financial and temporal gains for both patient and *** gains may be enhanced by moving to in-house planning and printing.

Objective:Cancer affects the head and neck region frequently and leads to signif-icant morbidity and mortality. Oncolytic viral therapy has the potential to make a big impact in cancers that affect the head and neck. We intend to review the current state of oncolytic vi-ruses in the treatment of cancers that affect the head and neck region. Method: Data sources are from National clinical trials database, literature, and current research. Results: There are many past and active trials for oncolytic viruses that show promise for treating cancers of the head and neck. The first oncolytic virus was approved by the FDA October 2015 (T-VEC, Amgen) for the treatment of melanoma. Active translational research continues for this and many other oncolytic viruses. Conclusion:The evolving field of oncolytic viruses is impacting the treatment of head and neck cancer and further trials and agents are moving forward in the coming years. Spatial and temporal patterns of sarcoptic mange in wombats using the citizen science tool,WomSAT

There is currently limited information regarding the levels of infection and distribution of sarcoptic mange in the wombat population throughout *** analyzed cases of sarcoptic mange in bare-nosed wombats reported into WomSAT,a website and mobile phone application where citizen scientists can upload sightings of wombats,burrows,and sarcoptic mange *** used Maxent software to predict locations and the environmental factors associated with sarcoptic mange occurrence in bare-nosed wombats.A total of 1379 sarcoptic mange-infected and 3043 non-sarcoptic mange-infected wombats were reported by 674 and 841 citizen scientists,*** all the wombats reported to WomSAT from 2015 to 2019,31.2%were infected with sarcoptic *** mange in bare-nosed wombats was reported in 502 suburbs across four *** South Wales had the highest number of sarcoptic mange cases reported to *** was no statistically significant seasonal variation of sarcoptic mange levels in bare-nosed *** model showed that Euclidean distance to urban areas was the highest contributing factor for sarcoptic mange *** distance to urban areas decreased,the suitability for sarcoptic mange *** precipitation was the next contributing factor in the model,with higher rainfall of 400–700 mm correlating to an increase in sarcoptic mange *** the data collected to date have provided the largest-scale contemporary distribution of sarcoptic mange in wombats,data should continue to be collected by citizen scientists as it is an easy and low-cost method of collecting data over large *** suggest targeting the identified hotspot areas and more site-specific studies for studying and mitigating sarcoptic mange in bare-nosed wombats.

Etiology of Skeletal Muscle Injuries

Based on the results of our observation, the delayed alteration of contractile structures resulted from the delayed predominant degradation of contractile proteins of skeletal muscle constitute the background of the chronic or acute skeletal muscle injury. There fore,the arrangement of workload should be considered as the most important factor in preventing skeletal muscle injury.

The Alteration of Morphology and Histochemity of Neuromuscular Junction Following Experimental Immobilization and Rehabilitation of Rats

We investigated the morphological changes of motor-endplate of rats during skeletal muscle disuse atrophy and natural or exercise rehabilitation. Qualitative and quantitative analysis indicated that with the atrophy of skeletal muscle, a series of changes appeared in nerve ending, the perimeter and maximum diameter of motor-endplate decreased. Endurance exercise may help the rehabilitation of skeletal muscle, stimulating the recovery of perimeter and maximum diameter of motorendplate and the budding of nerve ending. A suitable stimulation to local nerve system and endplate could reduce the atrophy of muscle during disuse.

Community Sports: Its Definition, Structural Factors and Current Situation in Urban Beijing

In conjunction with the study on the definition and structural factors of community sports, this paper made an investigation into two major administrative forms of sports, community sports associations and community sports stations, in eight local communities in Beijing. A preliminary analysis has been made in terms of organization, participants, activity programs, facilities, funds and instructors. A feasible suggestion for the development oLurban community sports in Beijing has been put forward on the basis of the analysis, so as to offer useful reference for the future development of urban community sports.

Effect of Traditional Acupuncture Points on the Recovery of Heart Function After Exercise Stress

This paper intends to investigate the effect of traditional acupuncture points on the heart function after exercise stress. Twelve elite boxers were given the acupuncture on Zusanli two minutes after their finals and Were not after their semi-finals, and they were also tested by the Echo at the same time. Thirty-one male students were asked to work twice in lab with the same successively incremental load. In the ten-minute recovery period, one was given the acupuncture on both-side Neiguan point and the other without the acupuncture, the results showed that the accupuncture points could accelerate the recovery of heart fatigue after strenuous exercise.

Clark Phenomenon" of Physical Efficiency Sportsmen in Major Competitions

The term "Clark Phenomenon" refers to unexpected failures of topranking ahletes in major *** athletes in the 21 - 24th Olympic Games and top six athletes in the 1- 6th National Games of the events of track and field, swimming and weightlifting weree investigated in this study. Statistic analysis of their achievements in major competitions showed that the "Clark Phenomenon" appeared in about one third of these top athletes. The incidence of "Clark Phenomenon" of the top six athletes was 0. 8%. Discussion was made on the causes that lead to serious "Clark Phenomenon" of Chinese athletes in the Olympic Games. An Evaluation Standard of Normal Performance in Major Competition for the events of track and field, swimming and weightlifing was established.
