Methionine(Met)is an essential and first limiting amino acid in the poultry diet that plays a significant role in chicken embryonic development and *** present study examined the effect of in ovo injection of DL-Met and L-Met sources and genotypes on chicken embryonic-intestinal development and *** eggs of the two genotypes,TeTRA-SL layer hybrid(TSL)—commercial layer hybrid and Hungarian Partridge colored hen breed(HPC)—a native genotype,were randomly distributed into four treatments for each *** treatment groups include the following:1)control non-injected eggs(NoIn);2)saline-injected(SaIn);3)DL-Met injected(DLM);and 4)L-Met injected(LM).the in ovo injection was carried out on 17.5 d of embryonic development;after hatching,eight chicks per group were sacrificed,and the jejunum was extracted for *** results showed that both DLM and LM groups had enhanced intestinal development as evidenced by increased villus width,villus height,and villus area(Ped to the *** DLM group had significantly reduced crypt depth,glutathione(GSH)content,glutathione S-transferase 3 alpha(GST3),occludin(OCLN)gene expression and increased villus height to crypt depth ratio in the TSL genotype than the LM group(Pthe HPC genotype has overexpressed insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF1)gene,tricellulin(MD2),occludin(OCLN),superoxide dismutase 1(SOD1),and GST3 genes than the TSL genotype(Pthese findings showed that in ovo injection of Met enhanced intestinal development,and function,with genotypes responding differently under normal *** also influenced the expression of intestinal antioxidants,tight junction,and growth-related genes.

Next-generation sequencing(NGS),represented by Illumina platforms,has been an essential cornerstone of basic and applied ***,the sequencing error rate of 1 per 1000 bp(10^(−3))represents a serious hurdle for research areas focusing on rare mutations,such as somatic mosaicism or microbe *** examining the high-fidelity sequencing methods developed in the past decade,we summarized three major factors underlying errors and the corresponding 12 strategies mitigating these *** then proposed a novel framework to classify 11 preexisting representative methods according to the corresponding combinatory strategies and identified three trends that emerged during methodological *** further extended this analysis to eight long-read sequencing methods,emphasizing error reduction ***,we suggest two promising future directions that could achieve comparable or even higher accuracy with lower costs in both NGS and long-read sequencing.

Scanning transmission electron microscopy and atom probe tomography analysis of non-stoichiometry long-period-stacking-ordered structures in Mg-Ni-Y/sm alloys

the long-period-stacking-ordered(LPSO)structure affects the mechanical,corrosion and hydrolysis properties of Mg *** current work employs high angle annular dark field-scanning transmission electron microscopy(HAADF-STeM)and atom probe tomography(APT)to investigate the structural and local chemical information of LPSO phases formed in Mg-Ni-Y/sm ternary alloys after extended isothermal *** on the alloying elements and their concentrations,Mg-Ni-Y/sm develops a two-phase LPSO+α-Mg structure in which the LPSO phase contains defects,hybrid LPSO structure,and Mg ***-STeM and APT indicate non-stoichiometric LPSO with incomplete Ni_(6)(Y/sm)_(8) *** addition,the APT quantitatively determines the local composition of LPSO and confirms the presence of Ni within the Mg bonding *** results provide insight into a better understanding of the structure and hydrolysis properties of LPSO-Mg alloys.

Permian ridge subduction-related magmatism in the Chinese Altai: Insights from geochronology and geochemistry of the Jiangjunshan pluton

the Chinese Altai is an important constituent of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt， a prominent Phanerozoic accretionary orogenic belt. Oceanic-continental subduction processes during the Cambrian–Carboniferous and intracontinental extension from the Triassic onwards have been well constrained in the Chinese Altai， the southwestern portion of the CAOB. Characterizing the petrogenetic evolution of the Chinese Altai during the Permian has， therefore， been considered critical to enhancing our understanding of the tectonic transformations that occurred in this region. Despite this， the tectonic environment of the Chinese Altai during this period remains equivocal. To address this deficiency， this contribution characterizes the age of formation and geochemical composition of the Jiangjunshan pluton located in the southern portion of the Chinese Altai. Zircon U-Pb geochronology demonstrates that the gabbro and two-mica alkali feldspar granite， which comprise the main body of the Jiangjunshan pluton， formed at ca. 272 ± 3.5 and 272 ± 1.6 Ma， respectively. Geochemically， the gabbro is depleted in light rare earth elements （LRee）， has low Nb/Yb （0.39–0.46） and Ti/V （23.7–25.3） ratios， exhibits trace-element characteristics resembling normal mid-ocean ridge basalts （N-MORB）， but is depleted in Nb and Ta similar to island arc basalts. the depleted Hf and Nd isotope compositions (εHf（t） = +0.60 to +4.63， εNd（t） = +6.32 to +7.80) of the gabbro， coupled with the weak correlation between εNd（t） values and SiO2contents， suggest that the magma from which it crystallized was slightly contaminated by crustal material during its evolution. Based on the sm， Yb， and La contents， it is inferred that the melt from which the gabbro crystallized originated from approximately 8–20% partial melting of spinel lherzolite mantle. the depleted Hf and Nd isotope compositions (εHf（t） = +6.81 to +9.10， εNd（t） = +0.79 to +1.45) of the granite， combined with petrographic observations （e.g.， absent of the

In this study,we investigated the anomalous Chromomagnetic Dipole Moment(CMDM),denoted as μ_(q)^(BLHM),of light quarks q=(u,c,d,s,b) within the framework of the Bestest Little Higgs Model(BLHM)as an extension of the Standard Model(sm).Our investigation encompassed novel interactions among the light quarks,heavy quark B,and heavy bosons (W'^(±),H^(±),φ^(±),η^(±))incorporating the extended Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa(CKM)matrix characteristic of the *** thoroughly explored the permissible parameter space,yielding a spectrum of CMDM values ranging from 10^(-10) to 10^(-3).

Diagnostic accuracy of ePOS score in predicting DNR labeling after ICU admission:A prospective observational study(ePOS-DNR)

Background Resuscitation can sometimes be futile and making a do-not-resuscitate(DNR)decision is in the best interest of the *** electronic poor outcome screening(ePOS)score was developed to predict 6-month poor outcomes of critically ill *** explored the diagnostic accuracy of the ePOS score in predicting DNR decisions in the intensive care unit(ICU).Methods this study was conducted at the ICU of a tertiary referral hospital in Saudi Arabia between March and May ***,we calculated ePOS scores for all eligible consecutive admissions after 48 h in the ICU and recorded the DNR *** ability of the score to predict DNR was explored using logistic ***'s ideal cut-off value was calculated using the DeLong method,and different diagnostic accuracy measures were generated with corresponding 95%confidence intervals(CIs).Results We enrolled 857 patients,125 received a DNR order and 732 did *** average ePOS score of DNR and non-DNR patients was 28.2±10.7 and 15.2±9.7,*** score,as a predictor of DNR order,had an area under receiver operator characteristic(AUROC)curve of 81.8%(95%CI:79.0 to 84.3,Pen's ideal cut-off value>17 was associated with a sensitivity of 87.2(95%CI:80.0 to 92.5,Pecificity of 63.9(95%CI:60.3 to 67.4,Pe predictive value of 29.2(95%CI:24.6 to 33.8,Pegative predictive value of 96.7(95%CI:95.1 to 98.3,Pthis study,the ePOS score performed well as a diagnostic test for patients who will be labeled as DNR during their ICU stay.A cut-off score>17 may help guide clinical decisions to withhold or commence resuscitative measures.

Challenges and countermeasures for developing countries in addressing loss and damage caused by climate change

Loss and damage caused by extreme climate events have attracted increasing *** 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change(hereinafter referred to as the Convention)has agreed to adopt Loss and Damage Fund agreement,which identified the source of funding and the funds to be entrusted to the World ***,there is still ambiguous that how to allocate the funds could accelerate the effectiveness of meeting the needs for developing ***-disaster prevention and preparedness is one of the most effective measures to deal with loss and damage,which closely related to *** studies rarely analyzed quantitatively the financial needs of pre-disaster prevention and preparedness relating to adaptation to reduce loss and *** on the official reports submitted by countries under the Convention,this study analyzes the annual change in the total financial support provided by developed countries to developing countries,the proportion of pre-disaster prevention and preparedness in the adaptation needs of developing countries,and the progress in raising the current annual funding target of 100 billion USD for developed countries,to reveal the financial and technical challenges facing by developing countries on addressing loss and *** results show that by 2030,the total adaptation financial needs of developing countries are estimated to be about 3.8 trillion USD,of which pre-disaster prevention matters account for about 9%.therefore,by 2030,developing countries will need about 342 billion USD in pre-disaster prevention and preparedness finance to withstand loss and *** addition,developing countries face a lack of technical methods to quantify information about their *** on the above analysis,this study puts forward countermeasures and suggestions,including strengthening the allocation amount of loss and damage fund on pre-disaster warning,prevention and control actions,and
