Host associated probiotics(HAPs)provide health benefits to the host when administered as dietary ***,a short-term probiotics application strategy has yet to be optimized.A 90-days study was conducted to evaluate the response of Malaysian mahseer,tor tambroides post larvae fed with basal diet enriched HAPs for 30-days,and its response following another 60-days feeding with only basal *** experimental diets(Enterococcus faecalis strain 2674(t1),Aeromonas *** A8-29(t2)and *** strain FC11682(t3))were prepared by spray-coating each HAPs on a basal diet at 1×108 CFU/g *** in growth performances,whole-body proximate and fatty acid composition,muscle morphometry,and gut morphology were *** showed that after 30 days,t3 fish produced highest *** HAP treatment groups showed better muscle distribution profile,improved fatty acid composition,and higher villus length,width and area,than control *** 90 days,the growth of t3 fish was still the *** distribution profile and villus growth were higher in HAP treatments,although only total n-6 PUFA,total MUFA,linoleic acids,and linolenic acids in HAP treated fish remained high after probiotics *** difference in whole-body proximate composition was observed in both 30 and 90 *** findings demonstrated that short-term application of HAPs at an early stage could be used to boost *** growth,with *** strain FC11682 showing the best efficacy.

Determination of teicoplanin A2's Partition Coefficient in Different Liquid-Liquid Extraction Systems

In this work the partition coefficients and extraction ratio of teicoplanin in three different solvent systems were studied: conventional extraction reactive extraction and reverse micelle extraction. With conventional solvent extraction n-butanol demonstrated high partition coefficient for teicoplanin but low extraction ratio because of its high solubility in water. Reactive extraction of teicoplanin showed the highest partition coefficient with almost 100% recovery in organic phase when tri-n-octylmethyl ammonium chloride (TOMAC) was used as extractant and pH value was above 5.0. A reverse micelle system consisted of isooctane +10mmol-L-1 TOMAC +1% n-octanol also offered high separation factor for teicoplanin. The results are beneficial for the design of teicoplanin separation and purification process.

Background the nationally determined contribution（NDC） presented by Argentina within the framework of the Paris Agreement is aligned with the decisions made in the context of the United Nations Framework Conven-tion on Climate Change（UNFCCC） on the reduction of emissions derived from deforestation and forest degradation, as well as forest carbon conservation（REDD+）. In addition, climate change constitutes one of the greatest threats to forest biodiversity and ecosystem services. However, the soil organic carbon（SOC） stocks of native forests have not been incorporated into the Forest Reference Emission Levels calculations and for conservation planning under cli-mate variability due to a lack of information. the objectives of this study were:（i） to model SOC stocks to 30 cm of native forests at a national scale using climatic, topographic and vegetation as predictor variables, and（ii） to relate SOC stocks with spatial–temporal remotely sensed indices to determine biodiversity conservation concerns due to threats from high inter-annual climate *** We used 1040 forest soil samples（0–30 cm） to generate spatially explicit estimates of SOC native forests in Argentina at a spatial resolution of approximately 200 m. We selected 52 potential predictive environmental covari-ates, which represent key factors for the spatial distribution of SOC. All covariate maps were uploaded to the Google Earth Engine cloud-based computing platform for subsequent modelling. to determine the biodiversity threats from high inter-annual climate variability, we employed the spatial–temporal satellite-derived indices based on Enhanced Vegetation Index（EVI） and land surface temperature（LSt） images from Landsat *** SOC model（0–30 cm depth） prediction accounted for 69% of the variation of this soil property across the whole native forest coverage in Argentina. total mean SOC stock reached 2.81 Pg C（2.71–2.84 Pg C with a probability of 90%） for a total area of 460,790 km2,

All-fiber ellipsometer for nanoscale dielectric coatings

Multiple mode resonance shifts in tilted fiber Bragg gratings(tFBGs)are used to simultaneously measure the thickness and the refractive index of tiO_(2) thin films formed by Atomic Layer Deposition(ALD)on optical *** is achieved by comparing the experimental wavelength shifts of 8 tFBG resonances during the deposition process with simulated shifts from a range of thicknesses(t)and values of the real part of the refractive index(n).the minimization of an error function computed for each(n,t)pair then provides a solution for the thickness and refractive index of the deposited film and,a posteriori,to verify the deposition rate throughout the process from the time evolution of the wavelength shift *** of the results were carried out with a conventional ellipsometer on flat witness samples deposited simultaneously with the fiber and with scanning electron measurements on cut pieces of the fiber *** final values obtained by the tFBG(n=2.25,final thickness of 185 nm)were both within 4%of the validation *** approach provides a method to measure the formation of nanoscale dielectric coatings on fibers in situ for applications that require precise thicknesses and refractive indices,such as the optical fiber sensor ***,the tFBG can also be used as a process monitor for deposition on other substrates for deposition methods that produce uniform coatings on dissimilar shaped substrates,such as ALD.

Photon absorption parameters such as mass attenuation coefficients(μ_m),molar extinction coefficients(ε),total molecular(σ_(t,m)),atomic(σ_(t,a))and electronic(σ_(t,el))cross sections,half-value layers(X_(1/2)),tenth-value layers(X_(1/10)),mean free paths(λ),effective atomic numbers(Z_(eff)),and effective electron densities(N_(el))were estimated for defatted soy flour(DSF),soy protein concentrate(SPC),and soy protein isolate(SPI)-based Rhizophora *** composites substituted with 10 wt%sodium hydroxide(NaOH)and 0,5,10,and 15 wt%itaconic acid polyamidoamine-epichlorohydrin(IA-PAE)*** composition was assessed using ultrahigh-resolution field emission scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry(UHR-FESEM-EDX).the interaction parameters were evaluated for K_(α1)photons at16.59,17.46,21.21,and 25.26 keV,employing a low-energy germanium(LEGe)detector system and an~(241)Amγ-ray source.X-ray diffraction characterization revealed an amorphous phase in the developed particleboard *** DSF15',SPC15',and SPI15'exhibited the highest values ofμ_m,ε,σ_(t,m),Zeff,and N_(el)among all of the studied particleboard samples,within the range of measured photon *** addition,all of the modified samples exhibited lower X_(1/2),X_(1/10),λ,σ_(t,a),andσ_(t,el)than the unmodified samples,with DSF-,SPC-,and SPI/NaOH/Rhizophora spp./IA-PAE(15 wt%),indicating insignificant *** current results of the particleboard samples'analysis can be useful for medical radiation applications and shielding research.
