AIM:The effects of cobalt,copper,cadmium and barium ions on the cysts of Entamoeba histolyt/ca (E,histolytica), an amebic dysentery agent,cultured in Robinson medium were investigated. METHODs:*** cysts and trophozoites isolated from a patient with amebiasis were cultivated in the medium, incubated at 37℃ for a period of 4 days and 40×10~4/ml amebic cysts were then transferred to a fresh *** the second stage,0.05,0.1 and 0.2 mM of selected metal ions were added to the medium,and the effects of these ions on parasitic reproduction compared with the control group were observed. REsULTs:It was determined that the number of living parasites in all the groups containing metal ions decreased significantly starting from 30 minutes (Pshowed the highest lethal effect on *** cysts,whereas the lowest lethal effect was observed with CoCl_*** was also seen that the number of living cells was decreased as the ion concentration and exposure time were increased,and that there were no living parasites in the medium at the end of 24 h (PsION:It may be stated that the effect of ever- increasing contamination of the environment with metal waste materials on parasites should be investigated further.

The last ten years of moderate to low precipitation rates in Israel may be a confirmation of the forecast, based on historical data, that recent, repeated droughts are a function of global warming. In this case the conventional policy of “sustainable Development” is not sufficient to avert the impact of diminution of precipitation on Israel’s water supply. Instead, a policy of “Progressive Development” is proposed, which aims to exploit, stage by stage, first the water resources most available and at lowest cost until they are ex-hausted. Once this stage is under execution, progressive steps are taken to develop more costly resources by advanced methods of exploitation. A case study of such a development plan is the controlled deterioration of the water quality of the coastal plain aquifer of Israel.

Hair has historically reflected material consequences in the Black community; thus, research has begun to investigate how the power/privilege matrix that is propagated throughout the media permeates society and impacts African-Arnerican women＇s perceptions of hair. This research joins the discussion by exploring how Black hair magazine advertisements influence Black women＇s hair decisions and their percepfious of what constitutes beautiful Black hair. Findings reveal that the images African-American women consume from Black hair magazine advertisements do impact what they consider to be beautiful and, subsequently, influence their day-to-day styling and hair care mechanisms, lending further support to the idea that the media serve as powerful sources of knowledge. This study culminates by theorizing about the constitutive meanings and importance of Black hair as conveyed through magazine advertisements and considers how Black women use social comparisons to make everyday hair decisions to achieve what they identify as good hair.

The barotropic and baroclinic disturbances axisymmetrized by the barotropic basic vortex are examined in an idealized modeling framework consisting of two *** a Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approach,the radial propagation of a baroclinic disturbance is shown to be slower than a barotropic disturbance,resulting in a slower linear axisymmetrization for baroclinic *** slower-propagating baroclinic waves also cause more baroclinic asymmetric kinetic energy to be transferred directly to the barotropic symmetric vortex than from barotropic disturbances,resulting in a faster axisymmetrization process in the nonlinear baroclinic wave case than in the nonlinear barotropic wave case.

submerged arc welding（sAW）is one of the main welding processes with high deposition rate and high welding *** welding method is extensively used in welding large-diameter gas transmission pipelines and high-pressure *** welding of such structures,the selection process parameters has great influence on the weld bead geometry and consequently affects the weld *** on Fuzzy logic and NsGA-II（Non-dominated sorting Genetic Algorithm-II）algorithm,a new approach was proposed for weld bead geometry prediction and for process parameters ***,different welding parameters including welding voltage,current and speed were set to perform sAW under different conditions on API X65 steel ***,the designed Fuzzy model was used for predicting the weld bead geometry and modeling of the *** obtained mean percentage error of penetration depth,weld bead width and height from the proposed Fuzzy model was 6.06%,6.40% and 5.82%,*** process parameters were then optimized to achieve the desired values of convexity and penetration indexes simultaneously using NsGA-II *** a result,a set of optimum vectors（each vector contains current,voltage and speed within their selected experimental domains）was presented for desirable values of convexity and penetration indexes in the ranges of（0.106,0.168）and（0.354,0.561）respectively,which was more applicable in real conditions.
