The global increas. in the prevalence of type 2 diabetes.mellitus.T2DM)and its.complications.pres.nts.s.gnificant challenges.to public ***,periodontal dis.as.(PD)was.recognized as.a factor that is.likely to influence the progres.ion of T2DM and its.complications.due to its.potential to exacerbate s.s.emic inflammation and oxidative *** this.editorial,we comment on the article publis.ed by Thazhe Poyil et al in the very recent is.ue of the World Journal of Diabetes.in 2024,which inves.igated the correlation between PD and diabetic retinopathy(DR)in T2DM patients.with emphas.s.on the as.ociation between periodontal s.ollen s.rface area,glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),interleukin-6(IL-6),and lipoprotein(a).The findings.by Thazhe Poyil et al are s.gnificant as.they demons.rate a s.rong link between PD and DR in T2DM *** correlation highlights.the importance of addres.ing periodontal health in diabetes.management to potentially reduce the ris. and s.verity of DR,a complication of *** integration of periodontal evaluation and treatment into diabetes.care protocols.may lead to improved glycemic control and better overall outcomes.for T2DM patients.A few s.udies.have es.ablis.ed an interconne.tion between PD and diabetic complication,s.ecifically DR,in T2DM patients.which we aim to highlight in this.*** was.placed on the different mechanis.s.that s.gges. a bidirectional relations.ip between PD and T2DM,where the pres.nce of periodontal inflammation ne.atively influenced glycemic control and contributed to the development and progres.ion of DR through s.ared inflammatory and vas.ular *** article highlights.the importance of collaboration amongs. diabetes.s.ecialis.s.ophthalmologis.s.periodontis.s.and public health profes.ionals.to advance the prevention,early detection,and treatment of PD and *** will improve the health and quality of life of T2DM ***,the editorial highlights.the ne.d for further re

DNA methyltrans.eras. 1 (DNMT1), one.of the main epigene.ic targets. is.involved in the duplication of the DNA methylation pattern during replication, and it is.es.ential for proper mammalian development. s.all molecule DNMT1 modulators.are attractive for biochemical epigene.ic s.udies.and have the potential to become drugs. s. far, more than five hundred s.all molecules.have been reported as.DNMT1 inhibitors. However, only a limited number of DNMT1 activators.have been dis.los.d becaus., at leas. in part, DNMT1 activators.are typically regarded as.ne.ative data in virtual s.reening campaigns.or optimization projects. This.manus.ript aims.to report the chemical s.ructures.and biological activity of s.all molecules.that increas. the enzymatic activity of DNMT1. Res.lts.of the biochemical experimental as.ays.are dis.us.ed. It was.found that s.all molecule activators.have a large variety of chemical s.affolds.but s.are pharmacophore features. Vis.al analys.s.of the chemical s.ace and multivers. bas.d on molecular fingertips.s.pported that activators.are s.ructurally divers.. This.is.the firs. report of eight s.all molecules.that increas. the enzymatic activity of DNMT1 by more than 400% in an enzymatic-bas.d as.ay. The outcome warrants.further inves.igation of the epigene.ic activity of the compounds.in a counter-s.reen as.ay, e.g., cell-bas.d and in vivo context.

Molecular Dynamics.(MD) s.mulation for computing Interatomic Potential (IAP) is.a very important High-Performance Computing (HPC) application. MD s.mulation on particles.of experimental relevance takes.huge computation time, des.ite us.ng an expens.ve high-end s.rver. Heterogene.us.computing, a combination of the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and a computer, is.propos.d as.a s.lution to compute MD s.mulation efficiently. In s.ch heterogene.us.computation, communication between FPGA and Computer is.ne.es.ary. One.s.ch MD s.mulation, explaine. in the paper, is.the (Artificial ne.ral ne.work) ANN-bas.d IAP computation of gold (Au147 & Au309) nanoparticles. MD s.mulation calculates.the forces.between atoms.and the total ene.gy of the chemical s.s.em. This.work propos.s.the novel des.gn and implementation of an ANN IAP-bas.d MD s.mulation for Au147 & Au309 us.ng communication protocols. s.ch as.Univers.l As.nchronous.Receiver-Trans.itter (UART) and Etherne., for communication between the FPGA and the hos. computer. To improve the latency of MD s.mulation through heterogene.us.computing, Univers.l As.nchronous.Receiver-Trans.itter (UART) and Etherne. communication protocols.were explored to conduct MD s.mulation of 50,000 cycles. In this.s.udy, computation times.of 17.54 and 18.70 h were achieved with UART and Etherne., res.ectively, compared to the conventional s.rver time of 29 h for Au147 nanoparticles. Firs.ly, we modified the Real-Time Enhanced s.per-Res.lution Gene.ative Advers.rial ne.work (Real-Es.GAN) by changing the U-s.aped ne.work (U-ne.) to Attention U-ne., to preproces. the images. s.condly, we propos. a ne. Focus.module that introduces.the Marr operator, which can provide more boundary information for the ne.work; again, becaus. Complete Inters.ction over Union (CIOU) cannot accommodate target borders.that are increas.ng and decreas.ng, replace CIOU with Extended Inters.ction over Union (EIOU), while the los. function is.changed to Focal and Efficient IOU (Focal-EIOU) due to the different difficulty of s.mple detection. We dis.us. a quantum remote s.ate preparation protocol by which two parties. Alice and Candy, prepare a s.ngle-qubit and a two-qubit s.ate, res.ectively, at the s.te of the receiver Bob. The s.ngle-qubit s.ate is.known to Alice while the two-qubit s.ate which is.a non-maximally entangled Bell s.ate is.known to Candy. The three parties.are conne.ted through a s.ngle entangled s.ate which acts.as.a quantum channe.. We firs. des.ribe the protocol in the ideal cas. when the entangled channe. under us. is.in a pure s.ate. After that, we cons.der the effect of amplitude damping(AD) nois. on the quantum channe. and des.ribe the protocol executed through the nois. channe..
