Evaluation of the nutritional value of Artemia nauplii for European seabass(Dicentrarchus labrax L.)larvae

Adapted European seabass(Dicentrarchus labrax L.)larvae at 25 days post-hatching(dph)with a primary weight and length of 23 mg and 9.92 mm,start the weaning up to 46 dph using the weaning micro-diet(54%crude protein from fish meal,powder milk,and poultry egg)concurrently with Artemia enriched with fortification emulsions(0.6 g/L)of DHA selco®as a control group(DHAS)or Fish oil+20%Vitamin C(FOVC),or Fish oil+20%Vitamin E(FOVE),or Fish oil+10%Vit.C+10%Vit.E(FOCE),or Fish oil only(FO).At 46 dph,groups of larvae fed enriched Artemia with DHAS and FOVE exhibited the highest final body weight,weight gain,average daily gain,specific growth rate,feed intake,protein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the lowest feed conversion ***,larvae in FOVC displayed the lowest final body weight,total length,weight gain,average daily gain,specific growth rate,feed intake,protein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the highest feed conversion *** histological assessment exhibited no pathological alteration as well as an improvement in the structure with DHAS,FOVE,FOVC,and FOCE co-additives compared to *** peroxidase enzyme(GPx)recorded the highest rates(Py FOCE and *** the lowest record for GPx activity was noted in the FO *** conclusion,Using augmented Artemia nauplii with fish oil+vitamin E in single or in companion with vitamin C as cheap antioxidants support *** larval growth,survival,and antioxidant efficacy during the critical weaning period.

Photocatalytic parameters and kinetic study for degradation of dichlorophenol-indophenol (DCPIP) dye using highly active mesoporous TiO_2 nanoparticles

Highly active mesoporous TiO_2 of about 6 nm crystal size and 280.7 m^2/g specific surface areas has been successfully synthesized via controlled hydrolysis of titanium butoxide at acidic medium. It was characterized by means of XRD（X-ray diffraction）, SEM（scanning electron microscopy）, TEM（transmission electron microscopy）, FT-IR（Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy）, TGA（thermogravimetric analysis）, DSC（differential scanning calorimetry） and BET（Brunauer–Emmett–Teller） surface area. The degradation of dichlorophenol-indophenol（DCPIP） under ultraviolet（UV） light was studied to evaluate the photocatalytic activity of samples. The effects of different parameters and kinetics were investigated. Accordingly, a complete degradation of DCPIP dye was achieved by applying the optimal operational conditions of 1 g/L of catalyst, 10 mg/L of DCPIP, pH of 3 and the temperature at 25 ± 3°C after 3 min under UV irradiation. Meanwhile, the Langmuir–Hinshelwood kinetic model described the variations in pure photocatalytic branch in consistent with a first order power law *** results proved that the prepared TiO_2 nanoparticle has a photocatalytic activity significantly better than Degussa P-25.

Enhancing optical absorption in visible light of ZnO co-doped with europium and promethium by first-principles study through modified Becke and Johnson potential scheme

By using first-principles calculations we studied the electronic, optical and magnetic properties of ZnO co-doped with Eu and Pm. In this calculation, we used Wien2 k code based on full potential linearized augmented plane waves(FP-LAPW) method with the modified Becke-Johnson(mBJ) approximation. This correction gives good band gap compared to experimental band gap. The introduction of Eu and Pm codoping leads to an increase in the band gap. electrons can transit easily from the valence band to the conduction band, which results in an enhancement of visible light absorption in a wider absorption range. Absorption spectra reach a high value in visible and infrared light regions. With the significance of the obtained results, the studied compounds may potentially find spintronic and optoelectronic applications.

Physical Studies of Some Hydrazinobenzoic Acid Complexes

The stability constants of complexes of 2-hydrazinobenzoic acid and 4-hydrazinobenzoic acid with Ni (Ⅱ), Cu (Ⅱ), Zn (Ⅱ), Cd (Ⅱ), and Hg (Ⅱ) were determined potentiometricaIly at different temperatures. The thermodynamic parameters, △G0, △H0, and △S0 were calculated and proved that the complexation process is spontaneous and endothermic. The thermodynamic functions were analyzed in terms of electrostatic and non-electrostatic components and the results reveal that ionic bonds are formed between the studied ligands and metal ions. Conductometric titration was shown that the stoichiometry of the formed complexes are M:L and M:2L. The structure of the prepared solid complexes was characterized using IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopies as well as X-ray diffraction technique. Finally electrical conductivity of the ligands and their copper complexes was measured and shown that the ligands have a semiconductor behaviour.

A broker-based semantic agent for discovering Semantic Web services through process similarity matching and equivalence considering quality of service

The lack of semantic descriptions for "web service properties" makes it difficult to find suitable web *** solutions are mostly based on broker/mediator agent ***,these techniques are syntactical,rather than semantics *** article presents a semantic matching approach for discovering Semantic Web services through a broker-based semantic agent(BSA).The BSA includes knowledge-bases and several processing *** BSA’s knowledge-bases are concept,task,and process ontologies built to describe both functional and non-functional parameters of *** BSA executes semantic-based matching algorithms to discover similar services through the semantic matching step,process equivalence task,and matching of quality of service *** services are ranked by client preferences utilizing the semantic descriptions of available *** matchmaker studies are reviewed and compared with the *** of the BSA algorithm is compared with SAM using published data and an experimental *** results indicate that our approach is better and more effective in some respects.

Hepatitis C genotype 4: The past, present, and future

Hepatitis C virus(HCV) genotype(GT) 4 represents 12%-15%(15-18 million) of total global HCV infection. It is prevalent in Northern and Equatorial Africa and the Middle East, and is also present in some countries in Europe. GT-4(and subtype 4a in particular) dominates the HCV epidemic in Egypt. In underdeveloped countries, risk factors associated with HCV infection may be due to unsafe medical practices or other factors such as familial transmission, mother's HCV status, or illiteracy. HCV prevention and control programs should include health education, increased community awareness towards the disease, controlling infection distribution in healthcare centers, proper sterilization of medical and dental instruments, and ensuring safe supply of blood and blood-products. Response rates to a 48-wk combined pegylated-interferon(PEG-IFN) and ribavirin(RBV) treatment range from 40%-69%, and HCV-GT-4 has been considered better than GT-1 but worse than GT-2 and GT-3 in treatment with PEG-IFN/RBV. However, with the introduction of the HCV-GT-1 effective protease inhibitors boceprevir and telaprevir in 2011, HCV-GT-4 became the "most difficult(GT) to treat". Recently, the direct-acting antivirals(DAAs) with pan- genotypic activities simeprevir, sofosbuvir, and daclatasvir have been recommended in triple regimens with PEG-IFN/RBV for the treatment of HCV-GT-4. An IFN-free regimen will be available for treatment of all genotypes of HCV in the near future. To date, several DAAs have been developed and are currently being evaluated in various combinations in clinical trials. As new regimens and new agents are being approved by the Food and Drug Administration, we can expect the guidelines for HCV treatment to be changed. The availability of shorter, simpler, and more tolerable treatment regimens can reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with HCV infection. With such a large number of therapeutic agents available, we can end up with a range of choices that we can select from

Finite-Time and Fixed-Time Synchronization of Inertial Neural Networks with Mixed Delays

This paper considers the drive-response synchronization in finite-time and fixed-time of inertial neural networks with time-varying and distributed delays(mixed delays). First, by constructing a proper variable substitution, the original inertial neural networks can be rewritten as a first-order differential system. Second, by constructing Lyapunov functions and using differential inequalities,some new and effective criteria are obtained for ensuring the finite-time synchronization. Finally, three numerical examples are also given at the end of this paper to show the effectiveness of the results.

Cylindrical Three-Dimensional Dust-Ion Acoustic Propagation in Plasmas

Wave properties of solitons in an unmagnetized four-component dusty plasma system contains isothermal distributed electrons, mobile ions, and negative-positive dusty grains have been examined. To study DIA wave properties,a reductive perturbation (RP) analysis is used. By a reductive perturbation (RP) analysis under convenient coordinate transformation, the three dimension Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation in cylindrical coordinates is obtained. The effects of dust grain charge on soliton pulse structures are studied. More specifically, solitary profile depending on the axial,radial, and polar angle coordinates with time is discussed. This investigation may be viable in plasmas of the Earth’s mesosphere.
