In wireless ad hoc networks cooperation among nodes cannot always be assumed since nodes with limited resources and different owners are capable of making independent decisions. Cooperation problems in topology control and packet forwarding tasks have been mostly studied separately but these two tasks are not independent. Considering a joint cooperation problem by taking into account dependencies between tasks will result in more reliable and efficient networks. In this paper topology control definition is extended to cover cooperation problem in both packet forwarding and topology control in a single problem. In this definition nodes have to adjust their transmission power and decide on their relay role. This paper models the interactions of nodes as a potential game with two-dimensional utility function. The presented model, named TCFORCE （Topology Control packet FORwarding Cooperation Enforcement）, preserves the network connectivity and reduces the energy consumption by providing cooperative paths between all pairs of nodes in the network.

Enhanced oil recovery(EOR)methods are mostly based on different phenomena taking place at the interfaces between fluid–fluid and rock–fluid *** the last decade,carbonated water injection(CWI)has been considered as one of the multi-objective EOR techniques to store CO2 in the hydrocarbon bearing formations as well as improving oil recovery *** CWI process,as the reservoir pressure declines,the dissolved CO2 in the oil phase evolves and gas nucleation phenomenon would *** a result,it can lead to oil saturation restoration and subsequently,oil displacement due to the hysteresis *** this condition,CO2 would act as insitu dissolved gas into the oil phase,and play the role of an artificial solution gas drive(SGD).In this study,the effect of SGD as an extra oil recovery mechanism after secondary and tertiary CWI(SCWI-TCWI)modes has been experimentally investigated in carbonate rocks using coreflood *** depressurization tests resulted in more than 25%and 18%of original oil in place(OOIP)because of the SGD after SCWI and TCWI tests,*** the ultimate enhanced oil recovery point of view,the efficiency of SGD was observed to be more than one-third of that of CWI ***,the pressure drop data revealed that the system pressure depends more on the oil production pattern than water production.

Lead sulfide （PbS） nanostructures with different morphologies and particle sizes were obtained via a simple hydrothermal reaction between lead （Ⅱ） salicylate （Pb（Hsal）2） and thiourea （tu）. Reaction products were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM）, ultraviolet-visible （UV-vis） and Fourier transform infrared （FT-IR） spectroscopy. Morphology of the product, varying from star-like to dendritic, depends on the mole ratio of tu to （Pb（Hsal）2）, pH, and reaction time.

In this study,aerodynamic behaviors of swept and leaned blades were *** and tangential blade curvatures impacts on compressor's operating parameters were analyzed separately.A commercial CFD program which solves the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations was used to find out the mentioned impact and the complicated flow field of transonic *** CFD method that was used for solving flow field's equation was validated by experimental data of NASA Rotor *** results showed that the compressor with curved rotors had higher efficiency,rotor pressure ratio and stable operating range compared to the compressor with un-curved *** curved rotors mostly had higher impact on the overall stable operating range compared to the other operating *** range involves choking point and stall point that were changed separately by using of bended *** finding the detailed impact of sweep and lean angle on transonic blades,various forms of lean and sweep angles were exerted to basic *** was found that sweep angles increased overall operating range up to 30%,efficiency up to 2%and pressure ratio up to 1%.Leaning the blades increased the safe operating range,the pressure ratio and efficiency by 14%,4%and 2%respectively.

Urban tunnels crossing faults are always at the risk of severe *** this paper,the efects of a reverse and a normal fault movement on a transversely crossing shallow shotcreted tunnel are investigated by 3D finite difference *** verifying the accuracy of the numerical simulation predictions with the centrifuge physical model results,a parametric study is then *** is,theleffects of various parameters such as the sprayed concrete thickness,the geo-mechanical properties of soil,the tunnel depth,and the fault plane dip angle are studied on the displacements of the ground surface and the tunnel structure,and on the plastic strains of the soil mass around *** results of each case of reverse and normal faulting are independently discussed and then compared with each *** is obtained that deeper tunnels show greater displacements for both types of faulting.

Determination of Parameters Affecting the Estimation of Iceberg Draft

Recent offshore oil and gas loading facilities developed in the Arctic area have led to a considerable awareness of the iceberg draft approximation, where deep keel icebergs may gouge the ocean floor, and these submarine infrastructures would be damaged in the shallower waters. Developing reliable solutions to estimate the iceberg draft requires a profound understanding of the problem’s dominant parameters. As such, the dimensionless groups of the parameters affecting the iceberg draft estimation were determined for the first time in the present study. Using the dimensionless groups recognized and the linear regression(LR) analysis, nine LR models(i.e., LR 1 to LR 9) were developed and then validated using a comprehensive dataset, which has been constructed in this study. A sensitivity analysis distinguished the premium LR models and important dimensionless groups. The best LR model, as a function of all dimensionless parameters, was able to estimate the iceberg draft with the highest level of precision and correlation along with the lowest degree of complexity. The ratio of iceberg length to iceberg height as the “iceberg length ratio” and the ratio of iceberg width to iceberg height as the “iceberg width ratio” was detected as the important dimensionless groups in the estimation of the iceberg draft. An uncertainty analysis demonstrated that the best LR model was biased towards underestimating the iceberg drafts. The premium LR model outperformed the previous empirical ***, a set of LR-based relationships were derived for estimating the iceberg drafts for practical engineering applications, e.g., the early stages of the iceberg management projects.

Linear complementarity problems have drawn considerable attention in recent years due to their wide *** this article,we introduce the two-step two-sweep modulus-based matrix splitting(TSTM)iteration method and two-sweep modulus-based matrix splitting type II(TM II)iteration method which are a combination of the two-step modulus-based method and the two-sweep modulus-based method,as two more effective ways to solve the linear complementarity *** convergence behavior of these methods is discussed when the system matrix is either a positive-definite or an H+-***,numerical experiments are given to show the efficiency of our proposed methods.

The significance of modern power grids is acknowledged every time there is a major threat. This paper proposes the novel approaches to aid power system planner to improve power grid resilience by making appropriate hardening strategies against man-made attack or natural hazards. The vulnerability indices are introduced, which return the most vulnerable component in the system based on a tri-level defender-attacker-operator(DAO) interdiction problem which solves iteratively. The output of DAO is the set of hardening strategies that optimally allocated along the network to mitigate the impact of the worst-case damages. By repeating DAO problem based on the proposed algorithm, the various crafted attack is imposed on the system, and the defender's behavior demonstrates how an element is vulnerable to threats. The WSCC 9-bus, IEEE 24-bus, and IEEE 118-bus systems are employed to evaluate the model *** counter-intuitive results are proven by the proposed robust hardening strategy, which shows how the hardening strategy should be allocated to improve power network resilience against threats.
