Combining morphological and molecular data,we describe a new amphibian species of the genus Kurixalus Ye,Fei,&Dubois,1999 from the Qionglai Mountain within the western margin of the Sichuan Basin in *** qionglaiensis *** be diagnosed based on a combination of the following morphological characters:medium-sized within genus(snout-vent length(SVL)in males 28.9−33.3 mm);tympanum distinct,subequal to half of eye diameter;snout pointed,prominence on tip;iris golden with brown spots;slight nuptial pad on first finger in males;background coloration of dorsal surface brown,lateral body and femoral yellow;white,dark brown edged triangular markings on cheek;chin shaded dark brown;pair of large symmetrical dark patches on chest;belly clouded brown and scattered black spots;toes moderately webbed,formulaⅠ2-2Ⅱ1.5-2.5Ⅲ1.5-2.5Ⅳ2.5-1.5Ⅴ;tibia length slightly shorter than half of SVL,tibiotarsal articulation reaching posterior border of eye;single external vocal sac *** on the 16S rRNA gene,the genetic distance between the new species and its sister taxon ***(Kuramoto&Wang,1987)was 4%.At present,the new species is known only from a single location at an elevation of~600 m in Pingle Town,Qionglai City,Sichuan,southwestern *** location can represent a new northernmost geographical limit of the genus Kurixalus.

Objective: Anxiety is common among pregnant women. However, research attention in the area of reproductive mental health has mainly focused on postpartum depression in past decades. Given adverse outcomes of antenatal anxiety, there is an urgent need to fill the research gaps. The objectives of the present study were to determine the prevalence of antenatal anxiety symptoms and examine the risk factors and effects of anxiety symptoms in early pregnancy on anxiety and depressive symptoms in later pregnancy and early postpartum period. Methodology: A prospective longitudinal design with quantitative approach was adopted. A consecutive sample of 1470 chinese pregnant women from hospitals in Hong Kong was invited to participate in the study and was assessed using standardized instruments on 3 time points including first and third trimesters of pregnancy and 6-week postpartum. Results: The results showed that 17.7% of pregnant women manifested anxiety symptoms in the first trimester of pregnancy. Single mothers, younger mothers, mothers who smoked before pregnancy and mothers who received low education level reported significantly higher levels of anxiety symptoms in the first trimester. Unwanted pregnancy, low self esteem, low marital satisfaction and perceived low social support were significant psychosocial risk factors for anxiety symptoms in the first trimester. Anxiety symptoms in the first trimester were independent predictors for anxiety symptoms in the third trimester ( QUOTE β = 0.26, t = 5.74, p < 0.001), however anxiety symptoms in the first trimester no longer significantly predicted anxiety and depressive symptoms in 6 weeks postpartum after adjusting for the effects of potential confounders. Discussions: The present study points to the need for greater research and clinical attention to antenatal anxiety given that antenatal anxiety is a prevalent problem and has serious impacts on maternal well-being. MRI provides a highly sensitive technique for early detection of abnormal breast tissue. It is useful for identifying a status of proliferation, angiogenesis, and microvascular permeability, which may indicate early breast neoplasm formation. We retrospectively studied 2005 breast MRI images from Taiwan Residents women and classified them as either healthy or unhealthy according to BI-RADS categories. A subgroup of our study patients had received estrogen supplements, containing estrogen components or phytoestrogen, for at least 3 months. These patients’ images were also classified into the healthy and unhealthy groups. These two groups were compared and a significant difference was found between them (P < 0.002). Comparison of the MRI images also identified certain cases that demonstrated a typical estrogen/phytoestrogen effect or a withdrawal effect. The overuse of estrogen or phytoestrogen supplements can increase breast glandular tissue proliferation, as reflected on MRI images. Such proliferation may increase the patient’s risk of future breast cancer.

AIM： To investigate the prevalence and clinical pattern of gastrointestinal stromal tumors （GISTs） in Hong Kong chinese, and to assess the impact of introduction of CD117 on the disease incidence. METHODS： From the database of the Department of Pathology of Yan Chai Hospital, 47 patients, with GISTs from September 1995 to December 2003 were included in this study. Ten GISTs were diagnosed before the introduction of CD117. The clinical features, tumor characteristics, and treatment were analyzed. Factors predicting tumor related death or recurrence were studied with Cox proportional hazard model. RESULTS： The patients included 26 males and 21 females, with a mean age of 66.6 years （SD 13.1, range 29-87 years）. The estimated prevalence of GISTs was 13.4-15.6 per 100 000 people, with an annual inddence of 1.68-1.96 per 100 000 people. The annual incidence of GISTs before and after the introduction of CD117 was 1.1 per 100 000 people and 2.1 per 100 000 people respectively. Stomach （34 patients, 72.3%） was the most common location for the tumor, followed by the small intestine （8 patients, 17.0%）, esophagus （2 patients, 4.3%）, omentum （2 patients, 4.3%） and colon （1 patient, 2.1%）. Thirty-one patients （66%） had complete tumor resection. Eleven out of 16 deaths （23%） were tumor-related. The median survival time was 26 too. Five-year survival rate was 61.3%. The significant factors associated with tumor-related death or recurrence were incomplete resection, tumor size 5 cm or above, invasion to the adjacent organ or presence of metastasis, CONCLUSION： The incidence of GIST in Hong Kong is comparable to that in the United States but lower than that in Finland. The true incidence of GISTs could be underestimated before the introduction of CD117. Incomplete resection, tumor size 5 cm or above, invasion to the adjacent organ or presence of metastasis are factors predicting tumor-related death or recurrence.

In this paper,PSPICE is implemented to model and simulate the characteristic of thin film bluk wave acoustic resonator(FBAR).Both Acoustic transmission line and mason model of FBAR analogy equivalent circuit is proposed and concluded the same simulation results on the FBAR *** physical parameters such as piezoelectric materials and its thickness,electrode material,area and its thickness affecting the properties of the FBAS are ***,we have implemented the FBAR to design a ladder type filter with a center frequency at 930MHz and bandwidth about *** study results in that PSPICE is an effective tool for the FBAR modeling and ladder type filter design.

Ultrasound imaging has become an effective and practical tool for obtaining information from within the human body as well as because it provides a clear real-time display of body tissue without exposing the patient to *** obtain a good quality of ultrasound imaging,ultrasonic piezoelectric transducers with high sensitivity,good impulse response,high-efficiency,low-ripple,and wide-band performance is desired. The approach we have used consists of impedance matching the front face of the piezoelectric transducer to the propagating medium with a quarter wavelength impedance matching layer and inserting an un-matching quarter wavelength acoustical layer between the rear face and backing *** the backing at the rear surface,a soft backing demonstrating a better impedance matching result which can improve the bandwidth,but exhibiting a longer duration impulse response should be used.A un-matched heavy backing would degrade the wide-band phenomena,but show a shorter time duration(mason model is developed to precisely predict the performance of the matched transducers and helps to achieve a compromise between the wide-bandwidth and short time duration characteristics of a two-matching-layer unmatched *** optimum impedance of the matching plate can be estimated to obtain the specific bandwidth and maximum response for special applications such as transmitting or imaging *** agreement between the simulation results and experimental results has been achieved.

Retinitis pigmentosa(RP)is a group of heredofamilial retinal diseases which is characterized by night blindness and progressive visual field *** study aims to study the treatment effect of Lycium barbarum(LB)on retinal functions and structure of RP *** study is a double-masked randomized controlled *** subjects received scheduled eye examination including visual acuity(VA),Humphrey field analysis(HFA),ganzfeld flash electroretinogram(ffERG)and optical coherence tomography(OCT).The suitable subjects were randomly allocated to either LB-treatment or placebo groups with the supply of LB or placebo for 12 *** were total 41 RP subjects(22 in LB group and 19 in placebo group)completed the 12 months *** compliance rates for LB and placebo groups were 89.8%±12.5%and 85.3%±7.7%*** compared with placebo group,there were no deteriorations of both high and low contrast VA in LB group(P<0.01).In addition,certain improvements of scotopic rod response and photopic cone response of ffERG were obtained in LB group(P<0.05).In the OCT measurement,an obvious thinning of macular thickness was observed in placebo group but not found in LB group(P<0.05).However,there were no changes found in the sensitivity of central visual field between two *** results confirm that the 12-month LB treatment for RP patients had neuroprotective effect on retina and is believed to delay or minimize the deterioration of visual function in RP.
