Liver resection is the preferred initial treatment option for solitary or limited multifocal hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,because of the characteristics of HCC,including its high recurrence rate and the frequent presence of chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis,both curability and invasiveness must be considered when selecting a treatment for *** liver resection(LLR)is minimally invasive and increasingly performed worldwide as a curative surgical option for treatment of liver *** 2014 International Consensus Conference on LLR concluded that minor LLRs are now standard ***-analyses suggest that,as compared with open hepatectomy,LLR for patients with HCC,including those with cirrhosis,resulted in less blood loss,lower postoperative hospitalization rates,and similar oncological *** candidates for this procedure should be carefully evaluated,LLR appears to be a feasible option for treatment of HCC with liver *** review describes the indications for LLR in this patient subgroup and offers guidance on appropriate surgical technique.

Irinotecan hydrochloride is a camptothecin derivative that exerts antitumor activity against a variety of tumors. SN-38 produced in the body by carboxylesterase is the active metabolite of irinotecan. After irinotecan was introduced for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer(CRC) at the end of the last century,survival has improved dramatically. Irinotecan is now combined with 5-fluorouracil,oxaliplatin and several molecularly-targeted anticancer drugs,resulting in the extension of overall survival to longer than 30 mo. Severe,occasionally life-threatening toxicity occurs sporadically,even in patients in relatively good condition who have a low risk of chemotherapyinduced toxicity,often causing the failure of irinotecanbased chemotherapy. Clinical pharmacological studies have revealed that such severe toxicity is related to exposure to SN-38 and genetic polymorphisms in UDPglucuronosyltransferase 1A1 gene. The large interand intra-patient variability in systemic exposure to SN-38 is determined not only by genetic factors but also by physiological and environmental factors. This review first summarizes the roles of irinotecan in chemotherapy for metastatic CRC and then discusses the optimal dosing of irinotecan based on the aforementioned factors affecting systemic exposure to SN-38,with the ultimate goal of achieving personalized irinotecan-based chemotherapy.

Energy Balance of Irrigated Intercropping Field in the Middle Reaches of Heihe River Basin

Based on the experiments conducted in an irrigated intercropping field in Zhangye Oasis in the middle reaches of Heihe River basin in 2004, the characteristics of radiation budget are analyzed. Furthermore, energy balance is cal- culated by using Bowen-Ratio Energy Balance (BREB) method. The results show that the ratio of the absorbed radiation to the incoming short radiation in intercropping crop canopy-soil system is increasing with growing stages, from 0.81 in the initial growing stage (IGS) to 0.86 in the late growing stage (LGS). The net radiation, which is smaller in IGS, in- creases rapidly in the first period of the middle growing stage (MGS) and reaches the maximum value in the second period of MGS. It then somewhat decreases in LGS. The ratio of net radiation to total radiation has a similar trend with the net radiation. In the whole growing stages, latent heat flux, which takes up 70% or so of the net radiation, is the dominant item in energy balance. Sensible heat flux shares 20% of the net radiation and soil heat flux has a percentage of 10%. The characteristics of heat balance vary distinctly in different growing stages. In IGS, the ratios of latent heat flux, sensible heat flux and soil heat flux to net radiation are 44.5%, 23.8% and 31.7% respectively. In MGS, with the in- creasing of latent heat flux and the decreasing of sensible heat flux and soil heat flux, the ratios turn into 84.4%, 6.3% and 9.3%. In LGS, the soil heat flux maintains 0W/m2 or so, and latent heat flux and sensible heat flux take up 61.4% and 38.6% respectively. The energy balance also shows an obvious daily variation characteristic.

The transition to 65 nm beyond and 300 mm wafers posed many challenges on etch depth and critical dimension (CD) uniformity within wafer. In this paper, we introduce a radical distribution con- trol (RDC) system for an excellent uniformity control. Etch depth and CD uniformity within wafer are well controlled by adding RDC function to SCCMTM. For increasing productivity, an all-in-one process, that is, etch/ash at the same chamber continuously is proposed here. By utilizing the advantage of inde- pendent dual frequency, a bias-controlled two-step ash “hybrid ash” is combined in the all-in-one process. Hybrid ash uses bias control and low pres- sure to minimize liner loss and the damage of low-k materials, which is targeting 65nm and beyond.
