Background:The European Congenital Heart Surgeons Association(ECHSA)Congenital Heart Surgery Database(CHSD)was founded in 1999 and is open for worldwide *** current dataset includes a large amount of surgical data from both Europe and *** purpose of this analysis is to compare patterns of practice and outcomes among pediatric congenital heart defect surgeries in Europe and China using the ***:We examined all European(125 centers,58,261 operations)and Chinese(13 centers,23,920 operations)data in the ECHSA-CHSD from *** mortality,postoperative length of stay,median patient age and weight were calculated for the ten benchmark operations for China and Europe,***:Benchmark procedure distribution frequencies differed between Europe and *** China,ventricular septal defect repair comprised approximately 70%of procedures,while Norwood operations comprised less than one percent of all *** cardiac procedures were rare in China *** procedures in STAT mortality category 1,Chinese centers had lower operative mortality rates,while procedures in categories 3 and 5 mortality is lower in European *** mortality over the time period decreased from 3.89%to 1.64%for the whole cohort,with a sharper decline in *** drop coincides with an increase of submitted procedures over this ***:Chinese centers had higher programmatic volume of congenital heart surgeries,while European centers have a more complex case *** for patients with functionally univentricular heart was performed less commonly in *** comparison of patterns of practice and outcomes demonstrate opportunities for continuing bidirectional transcontinental collaboration and quality improvement.

Experimental Research of External Desulfurization in Situ Mechanical Stirring

This paper presents a new idea about desulfurization with in-situ mechanical stirring method on the basis of desulfurization by single blow grain magnesium and KR method, that is, the inner gases carry the magnesium vapor formed in-site in molten iron by magnesium-based desulfurization, and bubble dispersed and disintegrated under the condition of mechanical stirring, thence to improve the efficiency of desulfurization by single blow grain magnesium .It has been proved by research of cold water model experiment that the bubble dispersion and disintegration can not only improve the desulphurization efficiency but also increase the utilization rate of magnesium. Obviously, the bubble dispersion and disintegration of magnesium vapor is the key problem in improving the desulphurization efficiency and increasing the utilization rate of magnesium. Thus the research focus on exploring the performance of bubble dispersion and disintegration on the base of refining process and gas-liquid mass transfer. According to the literature and cold water model experimental result basing on principle of similitude, the influencing factors and interaction of bubble dispersion and disintegration have been studied from the perspectives of physical and numerical simulation. The study would provide the theoretical and experimental data for the new method of desulfurization with in-situ mechanical stirring.

Study on Absorption Rate by Eccentric Mechanical Stirring in Gas Injection Refining for Iron and Steel Making

In gas injection refining processes, a great amount of gas is injected into molten metal in short time, so that very large bubbles are inevitably formed. Wide dispersion of small bubbles in the bath is indispensable for high refining efficiency. Eccentric mechanical stirring with unidirectional impeller rotation was tested using a water model for pursuing better bubble disintegration and dispersion. Absorption rate are used to research on the influence law of the bubble dispersion and disintegration and gas-liquid absorption by the influence of, rotation mode, rotation speed and gas flow rate. Compared to the experimental results of absorption rate under eccentric stirring and centric stirring ,provide the scientific experimental and theoretical guidance for high-temperature experiment of hot metal desulfurization .According to experimental and theoretical analysis, this paper has studied various factors effecting on gas absorption process and volumetric mass transfer coefficient using the system of *** results show that:the volumetric mass transfer coefficient and absorption efficiency of CO2 can be increased under eccentric stirring mode, Because bubble disperse quickly with eccentric mechanical stirring, which results in promoting complete reaction between CO2 and NaOH, and improving the mass transfer coefficient and absorption. Volumetric mass transfer coefficient and efficiency of CO2 increase with the increasing rotation speed under the condition of eccentric stirring .But volumetric mass transfer coefficient and efficiency of CO2 decrease with the increasing rotation speed under the condition of centric stirring.

This study’s dynamic survey of spectators at the HRS(Hanazono Rugby Stadium)in HOC(Higashi Osaka City)during the 2019 RWC(Rugby World Cup)tournament used location information big data to analyze nine items,including spectator attributes-60 min or more stay in HOC(excluding residents),more than 15 min stay in the HRS on match days(besides,the days before and after the match).To compare spectators,visitors to HOC during the matches were added to the target *** results show that the RWC attracted a high number of male visitors aged 20,40,and 50 years,mainly from the Kinki region,whose stopovers inside and outside the region were limited to Osaka *** in tourist areas unrelated to the RWC were few,partly because it was possible to undertake a day trip solely to watch the game without any stopovers.

Water model experiments were carried out to investigate the bubble behavior in cylindrical and square vessels under centric mechanical *** bubble behavior in the square vessel was investigated in detail by using a high-speed camera to record the transient images of the *** image analysis software was used to obtain the bubble *** results showed that the centric mechanical stirring in the square vessel was suitable for breakage and dispersion of bubbles,but not suitable for that in the cylindrical *** the impeller blade length and impeller rotation speed was beneficial to disintegrate and disperse bubbles *** bubble diameter decreased with the increase in the Weber number and increased slightly with the increase in the modified Froude *** dimensionless correlation equation of bubble diameter was obtained by the dimensional analysis method.

The prefrontal cortex(PFC)is thought to be involved in higher order cognitive functions,such as in working memory,abstract categorization,and reward *** has been reported that two distinct neuron classes(putative pyramidal cells and interneurons)in the PFC played different functional roles in neural circuits involved in forming working memory and abstract ***,it remains elusive how the two types of neurons process reward information in the *** investigate this issue,the activity of single neurons was extracellularly recorded in the PFC of the monkey performing a reward predicting *** neurons were classified into putative pyramidal cells and interneurons,respectively,based on the waveforms of action *** the two types of neurons encoded reward information and discriminated two reward conditions(the preferred reward condition *** nonpreferred reward condition).However,the putative pyramidal neurons had better and more reliable discriminability than the putative ***,the pyramidal cells represented reward information in the preferred reward condition,but not in the nonpreferred reward condition by raising their firing rates relative to the baseline *** contrast,the interneurons encoded reward information in the nonpreferred reward condition,but not in the preferred reward condition by inhibiting their discharge rates relative to the baseline *** results suggested that the putative pyramidal cells and interneurons had complementary functions in reward *** findings may help to clarify individual functions of each type of neurons in PFC neuronal circuits involved in reward processing.

Pathological studies have suggested that features of vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques likely to progress and lead to acute cardiovascular events have specific *** the progress of intravascular coronary imaging technology,some large prospective studies have detected features of vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques using these imaging ***,the rate of cardiovascular events,such as acute coronary syndrome,has been found to be considerably reduced in the limited follow-up period available in the statin ***,not all disrupted plaques lead to thrombus formation with clinical *** sub-occlusive or occlusive thrombus formation does not occur,a thrombus on a disrupted plaque will organize without any symptoms,forming a"healed plaque".Although vulnerable plaque detection using intracoronary imaging is focused on"thin-cap fibroatheroma"leading to plaque rupture,superficial plaque erosion is increasingly recognized;however,the underlying mechanism of thrombus formation on eroded plaques is not well *** of intravascular imaging,optical coherence tomography(OCT)has the highest image resolution and has enabled detailed characterization of the plaque in ***,we reviewed the status and limitations of intravascular imaging in terms of detecting vulnerable plaque through mainly OCT *** suggested that vulnerable plaque should be reconsidered in terms of eroded plaque and healed plaque and that both plaque and circulating blood should be assessed in greater detail accordingly.

A I M : To present our extensive experience of hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma using a microwave tissue coagulator to demonstrate the effectiveness of this device. METHODS: A total of 1118 cases(1990-2013) were reviewed,with an emphasis on intraoperative blood loss,postoperative bile leakage and fluid/abscess formation,and adaptability to anatomical resection and hepatectomy with hilar ***: The median intraoperative blood loss was 250 m L; postoperative bile leakage and fluid/abscess formation were seen in 3.0% and 3.3% of cases,respectively. Anatomical resection was performed in 275 cases,including 103 cases of hilar dissection that required application of microwave coagulation near the hepatic hilum. There was no clinically relevant biliary tract stricture or any vascular problems due to heat injury. Regarding the influence of cirrhosis on intraoperative blood loss,no significant difference was seen between cirrhotic and non-cirrhotic patients(P = 0.38),although cirrhotic patients tended to have smaller tumors and underwent less invasive operations. CONCLUSION: This study demonstrated outcomes of an extensive experience of hepatectomy using heat coagulative necrosis by microwave tissue coagulator.

Abstract： The impeller blade structure for gas injection refining under mechanical stirring has been explored by water model experiments. A sloped swept-back blade impeller is＇proposed for the purpose. The central part of the impeller is disk- or plate-shaped, and the blades are fitted to the side of the disk or plate. In addition, a disk is put on the top side of the impeller blades. The impeller can strengthen the radial and downward flow between the blades and weaken the swirl flow in the zone above the impeller. These effects on flow phenomena are favorable for disintegration and wide dispersion of bubbles which are injected from a nozzle attached to the center of the underside of the impeller. In addition, the sloped swept-back impeller requires less power consumption. The impeller shaft should be placed away from the vessel center so as to disperse the injected bubbles widely in the bath under mechanical stirring even with unidi- rectional impeller rotation and without installing baffles. The number of gas holes in the nozzle and the direction of gas injection have a little effect on the bubble disintegration and dispersion in the bath. Highly efficient gas injection refining can be established under the conditions of proper impeller size, larger nozzle immersion depth, larger eccen- tricity and rotation speed of the impeller. The sloped swept back blade impeller can decrease the power consumption and vet improve the bubble disintegration and wide dist^ersion in the bath.
